Was looking for a low key spot right before dinner to have a quick business chat/touch base. My first pick was Inkwell, but they close at 6pm. So Cup & Kettle was perfect! They have a ton of tea options & the tea-rista (get it...instead of barista? Haha) was very helpful in helping me understand caffeine level. I love that the tea menu was "interactive" as it was just bottles of labeled leaves for you to examine & smell. I ended up with the peach blossom white tea for the delicious smell and moderate caffeine. It was nice and quiet so seems like it would be a good place to study/get some work done!

Excellent little tea shop just off of the square in Bloomington. They have a great tea selection both for sale and to enjoy in the store. I did not try their baked goods, but the selection was good - cookies and scones. Additionally, they have light lunch options on the menu.

With a lot of coffee shops and bistros around Bloomington, this little shop has found a niche and has settled in nicely. Somewhere between a coffee shop and a classic tea house, the shop offers friendly service with pastel tea pots and cups. After entering through the front door (delightfully sectioned off to keep the cold air from rushing into the dining room), we made our way to the order counter on the right side. We were greeted and could see the options available to us. They have a menu of breakfast items, sandwiches (both somewhat limited in quantity, but with Vegan and Gluten Free options), and pastries. The opposite wall of the order counter has several shelves of corked bottles that contain the tea varieties that you can smell for their aromas. I went with a pumpkin spice black tea while my wife ordered a hot chocolate. We picked a table and when our beverages were ready, they were delivered to us. She got a single cup and she said it tasted more like dark chocolate than her familiar milk chocolate flavor. I got an already steeped tea pot that was ready to go. It was served at a temperature that was immediately drinkable without having to risk burning my mouth. Perfect temp! All the teas that they serve seemed to be for sale in tins or bags of loose leaf form. Overall, a cozy and relaxing place to enjoy a respite from the busy world. Review #2203

I took way too long to check this place out. It's a lovely tea shop, I love everything inside from the plants to the adorable cups, kettles and sugar dishes. I felt so relaxed and happy here. The matcha latte was great, and they had a super good matcha brownie too. Friendly staff and I sat with my baby with no problems! Overall a really good time and I can't wait to visit again and again. They have a really limited lunch menu but the chicken salad on croissant was actually really good!

This is such an amazing addition to the Bloomington foodie scene! We went from no tea shops and me not being sold on any one special place to buy tea for home, to having THE gold standard, and only steps away from the square. It's so pretty yet minimalist that I feel instantly at ease and happy when I walk in there. They have everything you'd need, nothing you don't. You can go for a dressy date, to drop in for some caffeine after you work out, whatever you want. This two woman owned business is great because 1) they know their teas and can explain them to people like them or to people who don't, 2) they take their time and do it right. Whether you get hot or cold tea, it'll be among the best tea you've ever had, 3) they are super pro local! They offer things from Piccolo Dolci, Uel Zing, Ahaa Chai, even pastries from people trying out the market to see if there is a scene for them. Meaning they support local successful businesses and new ones too! They donate all of their tips to local businesses. The tip donee changes each month, but is always (as far as I know) another woman owned business. I love this! Let's support each other. If you have kids, even though the ambiance is very peaceful, they are so welcome here. Look for the toys below the table by the couch. There's a baby changing station in the bathroom - dads feel free to change too, it's a genderless bathroom :-) there's also coloring and the owners love children so your child may just end up going home having made a new (lovely!) friend. If you're a teleworking person, don't fear. You're welcome here too! I've even had a meeting here and it was such a treat. We were able to focus and work hard while enjoying delicious tea and pastries from different local places. It felt super intimate yet professional at the same time. I can be a super indecisive person and Jessica (one of the owners) helps me every time to narrow down on what I want, ranging from loose leaf to take home or to cold teas that are still served with a refill teapot. It seems I can never ask too many questions or take too long to order. Or sniff the sniffing wall for too long either! Haha. I can't resist, it's so fun to smell them all. And for hot tea you can choose your mug! I really adore this place and hope we can all work together to make sure it sticks around for the long haul. Yayyy tea!

I walked in--expecting to be overwhelmed with options--but the tea connoisseur behind the bar showed me to the the tea wall. Over 30 bottles lined the shelves. I could pick and choose which ones I wanted to smell for a better flavor introduction. I settled on the raspberry green tea: iced. Everything about my visit was refreshing. The berry flavor, the floral upholstery, and the sea foam walls, kissed with sunlight streaming through the windows. The bright atmosphere was perfect for working on my laptop. Other tea lovers were reading books, chatting, and playing with a toddler. Thanks to the box of kids/baby toys under the coffee table, the chubby tyke was entertained for hours. My English-major-heart sang when I sat down next to the bookshelf and saw "Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom" and "Robert Frost's Poems." I could have spent an entire afternoon admiring the ambiance. The pastries and sweets were delivered that morning and tasted bakery-fresh. The size of the piccoli dolci's was generous but not the cheapest pastry I'd ever purchased. If you like a quiet place to reconnect with friends or study, Cup & Kettle is perfect. You can get a single glass or a pot. The only question is: how long will you be staying?

Long wait. Only one person working. Was there around 1500 hrs. Employee on duty very nice but too busy to give customers extra help.

First time at this Crumble Coffee, but I love the other two. Same good experience here…read more I got a tomato red pepper danish, a piece of blueberry almond cake, and a summer garden tea (seasonal green tea with fruit syrup) The danish was actually my second choice after I found out they were out of the galette I wanted, but I actually liked the danish a lot and was glad it was what I ended up with. The pastry was great, with nice layers but not overly flaky for my taste like a lot of danishes; it had a nice tenderness to it. The filling was delicious, like a cheesy roasted red pepper dip baked into a danish. The cake was also great, not too sweet and very aesthetically pleasing too. The tea was really nice, with the fruit flavors balanced with the green tea. The shop is very cute and felt welcoming. There's a lot of outdoor seating. They have some local art prints for sale and there's even a printer for customer use. The baristas were friendly.

Counter service is prompt, grab y our drink and clean your own table.

I liked the…read morecolourful atmosphere with the painted walls and stained glass decoration in the windows, and I thought my seat was very cozy. The food is diner-style but very good so far. I visited twice for a breakfast and a lunch. Lunch: I had a Black Russian sandwich and a pot of Emperor's Pride tea. The sandwich, which is a vegetarian version of a Reuben with roasted veggies instead of meat, was delicious. They really piled on the veggies. Some fell out of the sandwich, but I just ate them with the home fries. The home fries also were nicely seasoned. The tea was a little off. It's possible it was the tea itself that didn't taste how I expected, but it kind of tasted like I was getting the flavour of a different tea in the pot. Breakfast: Apple pancake and bouquet latte (seasonal special - lavender Ceylon tea latte with honey and rose syrup). The bouquet latte was wonderful and had this beautiful red swirl latte art. The pancake was nice and fluffy. One pancake is something like $5, but one is enough for a complete meal, maybe with a protein side if you're especially hungry. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The food didn't take very long even though they seemed busy.
