The owners were great! I asked and loved hearing their story of how they started this company. Due to covid, you can't eat inside but they have some tables and chairs outside. There are so many flavors to choose from, so it was so hard to decide. I'm glad that my friend got one and I got one, so I was able to try two. I had the marble and it was a little too sweet for me. What a great place! I had seen pictures of the baked goods on here and other social media sites and knew I had to come. I bookmarked it, then life got a little busy, then the pandemic happened and I was checking to see what made it and what had not made it thru the pandemic, and struck gold here. I came by on a weekday afternoon. The lady working was friendly and helpful. Everything was neat and clean inside. I got a lemonade and two fairy cakes and was on my way. I went with Cupcake Fairies on a whim, as they were one of the recommended vendors at the venue where we were having our wedding. I contacted them to see if they were available for my date, and also made a weird request to see if they could send me samples of the cake to taste (since I was having a destination wedding in New Orleans). They were more than gracious and willing to do so, and the samples were delicious. I gave them some ideas of what I was looking for, and they totally ran with it! I asked for a layer of chocolate, a layer of wedding cake flavor, and the top to be almond flavor. Flash forward to my wedding day, and I finally got to meet the ladies in person (albeit, passing by for our photos, since everything was done virtually), and the cake looked amazing!! I was so impressed and happy with the final results! They also made delicious cupcakes (and we got a dozen gluten-free as well). Needless to say, everyone LOVED the cake!!! They talked about how delicious and moist it was, and not too sweet but just right! They even provided me instructions on how to preserve the first layer (which I totally brought all the way back to San Francisco with me). I was able to save a small chunk of cake too, which I will be merrily eating and enjoying until we can enjoy the top layer in a year. I didn't ask about the price before I purchased the cupcake because of the reviews that I had recently read. Again, DON'T waste your money. Fair warning: I enjoy cupcakes. I was in Riverwalk at the kiosk. That said..... Innovation!!! Never before have I been served a cupcake in an actual cup. It had a lid. I could eat a bit now and drop it in my purse for later. No walking around looking silly shoving cake my mouth.... I could eat it like a civilized person.... With a spoon! They have spoons! I have no idea what the cake tastes like. I have the sniffles, all i can taste right now are extremes. The texture was nice, no dryness. And the frosting is fairly light. Upon hearing about this cupcake shop and its location I had this feeling that the two amazing women that own this place are the same ones I saw on cupcake wars. Long story short they were and it made that visit that much better. Upon walking in you can feel the happiness. My husband and I were greeted and were given so much attention and every question we had was answered. They have a variety of items if you're looking for breakfast or lunch and anything in between. We got there around 1pm so there were still options to choose from. The inside is very inviting and the atmosphere makes you want to stay. The aroma of fresh baked goods will have you floating on a soft pillow of sweetness. Their cupcakes are perfect for sharing or satisfying a sweet tooth on the go. They come in clear containers that mimic cups but with a lid that allows space for icing and other toppings. My husband and I initially ordered 3 of the cupcakes however before we could make it out the door he had eaten and entire cupcake so he replaced it with a 4th one. We had two cupcakes with vanilla cake and black and white icing, one spiced peach cupcake and one lemon glaze cupcake. Everyone of them were amazing from the cake to the icing and individual flavors. I ventured into Melissa and Michele's store , CupCake Fairies. I bought 4 large cup cakes in a cup. They were layered with three different toppings. I have never eaten sweets, y'all, but my loved one was channeling me to get something, so I went into CupCake Fairies. Keep channeling honey, this is great. I am sold and hooked on this store and it's cup cake genius creations. In cup cake heaven. I met one of the two proprietress, and I felt, it was very welcoming. That was a winner for me. There are all different type cakes, and they are able to make or cater just about anything you want. I think they just don't know they have created a cup cake monster. Store is big enough for you to enjoy your visit and purchase. The cost is market friendly, and lots of options to fulfill ideas. I put a scoop of ice cream on top of my cupcake and Yummy yum yum. If I could leave zero stars, I would. My friend placed an order for two cakes, one for her and the other for me. When we called to see if the order was ready, we were told that the order was cancelled because we did not pay the invoice online. The person we placed an order with told us we would be able to pay at pickup because the payment was two separate payments. We were in town for a party and had ordered cupcakes in advance to be delivered to our hotel, to arrive in time for the surprise. When our cupcakes failed to arrive on time I called the store multiple times and was not able to speak with anyone. The next day I found out they had been delivered to the wrong hotel; although the company was nice enough on the phone they did not offer a real solution (told me to pick them up myself although we had no car). They never admitting to being in the wrong for making the wrong delivery - we never ended up even seeing the cupcakes. They did refund me about 40% of the cost of the cupcakes but then stopped answering my emails, even to say they had considered it and still were not going to refund the full 100% (we spent $55 for 12 cupcakes). Would have at least appreciated some customer service. read more

Not only are the cupcakes delicious, but the service is amazing and the cupcakes come in an actual CUP with a lid! We had the triple chocolate cupcake and it was amazing and there was so much we were able to pop the top on it and take it home with no problems. I wish I could give this place 10 stars! My daughter was traveling from Massachusetts to New Orleans for a school service learning trip. While there, she was celebrating her 17th birthday. Since she was so far from home, my husband and I still wanted to be sure this day was special for her. I reached out to Melissa from Cupcake Fairies to place an order of cupcakes to be delivered to my daughter and her group of 40 fellow students for her big day. I am so happy with the result! Melissa was beyond amazing!!!!! She was so kind, helpful and best of all......Melissa personally delivered the cupcakes to my "princess" on a day that the cafe was closed! These cupcakes absolutely made my daughters day! Not only were they beautiful to look at, the teens all raved they were "the best cupcakes they've ever eaten".
