Dawn Gregg is a terrible relator. Dawn left her listing active for months after we put an offer in with a "deal In place" multiple phone calls as we were a back up buyer. Finally the sellers got cold feet and moved to us we were eager to buy. we immediately did a rush inspection as seller and Dawns wish to find the back deck was structurally not safe. we wanted to have an estimate how much the cost would be to fix the deck. we waited and waited to hear if we could have someone come in to get a phone call that they have moved on and took a back up buyer!! the house has been on the market since MAY AND WE WAITED WITH THE GAMES PLAYED since we put our offer in end of June! Dawn is a shady and sketchy agent. beware using her for any transaction. no morals and should Not be in reality!! read more

We can't speak Neal Kolze's praises enough. He is an amazing agent. We came across Neal purely by accident and it feels like it was meant to be - we were browsing for a new home in the Catskills area when our GPS rerouted and led us to an open house Neal was hosting and fell into conversation, upon where he provided great information about the local areas. We immediately felt comfortable working with him. He's knowledgeable, helpful, personable, and always ready with an anecdote. Any time we had a question (and as first time home buyers we had a lot!), Neal was there to answer or to chase the answers down for us. He was always very straightforward and we appreciated that. I utilized this real estate company to sell my home. The agent (best friend for over 55 years) Lynnette Wright, set up one showing then refused to schedule any backup showings due to "being under contract" even though I requested backup showings. Through the whole "transaction" of the sale, I heard all about the "buyers" when they were supposed to "broker" the best price for me but my attorney is the one who got my final price. My agent even told me the repairs, maintenance that hadn't been done prior to the appraisal of my home didn't matter, but in reality cost me $20,000. I contacted the owner, Mr. Curasi who contacted my attorney and stated I must pay full commission even though the agent didn't properly represent "my interests" in the sale of my home. Was told I would be taken to court, so since I will be moving quite a distance away, have resolved to pay it and be done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. I was selling our parents 100 year old home and our agent, Carol Cruz was fantastic. Unprompted, she came in with a plan to sell the property as a single family home not as a potential rental property which we were absolutely against. All the way through the process she anticipated our needs and questions and navigated the sale to a successful conclusion. Leaving the home my grandfather built to another family was obviously emotional, but Carol was always responsive and available. I would do business with her again unquestioningly. read more

We worked with ERA Curasi to sell a house. Simply put, they were awful. We found them to be incompetent at best, and dishonest at worst. They were clearly uninterested in helping us - reluctant to hold even a single open house, and technologically behind the times. Moreover, they repeatedly used bait and switch tactics on us that were incredibly unethical, if not outright illegal. Overall, they give realtors a bad name. read more

I went through this realty company for my most recent apartment and was badly lied to about so many things my head was spinning! They told me specifically that the landlord was not an "absentee landlord" and that's exactly what he turned out to be. I was even told to call the realty company if I needed help getting through to the landlord but pretty much as soon as I signed my lease, they were nowhere to be found! I was lied to about there being no need for any parking permit, etc. and actually ended up getting my car towed within the first week of moving because that was a lie too! There were so many problems with my new place that within a few weeks, I'm already planning to move out. No one needs this type of hassle! Go to a more honest and decent company, so you don't end up having to move again. In this economy, can you really take the chance that you'll be completely swindled? read more

This is the third review I've left, and it's obvious that Curasi Realty is trying to hide the fact that they're terrible at what they do--or should I say don't do. Apparently my previous two reviews didn't go deep enough into my experience with them. Now keep in mind, my experience was a horrible one at that. So, here we go. My spouse and me were looking to buy land, preferably about 10-15 acres. We didn't want to buy a house because let's face it, it's better to build your own home and know that everything is done correctly. I don't have time to fix other people's mistakes. Well, little did I know that checking out Curasi Realty was going to be the first (and biggest) mistake I could make. The agents have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I'm not even sure that they're actually licensed. I have a degree in medicine, know little about realty, and I could still do their job ten times better than them. Rude, lazy, pessimistic, disengaged...I could make an extensive list of all the qualities of the agents here (especially Dave Fields), but I'd probably run out of the allotted character amount by the time I was finished. I don't think I've ever come across a group of people who had such poor social skills and manners. Save yourself the trouble, choose a better option. I wouldn't want to see anyone waste money on someone who did absolutely nothing to deserve it. You'd be better off being your own agent. read more

My husband and I were searching for a home in Orange County, NY. We already own a home there. Initially the agent Mary Jo Coleman was extremely helpful. As time went by and she became busy with new listings. She seemed less interested in helping us. I would e-mail her listings that we wanted to see at the beginning of the week. She would not start making appointments until the day before we were to meet. This would cause us problems since we were unsure on how to set our own schedules for that day. I had to e-mail/text her to find out if we were going to being seeing any properties that day. It just got to a point that I no longer wanted to deal with her. We finally got fed up and told her that we no longer needed her services. We ended up working with another agent whom shall find us a home and will list our current home for sale. I would not recommend her company or her services to anyone. If you value your time do not deal with this company or it's agents. read more

I can say nothing but positive things about our experience working with ERA Curasi and their agent Pedro Garcia. In 2008 my wife and I were left with the challenge of having to care for a parent who lived in Montgomery and was without acceptable housing while we were living more than 30 miles away. We decided the best option was to buy a house that would allow us to move our relative in with us (preferably mother/daughter situation). He spent 3 weekends showing us over 18 houses until we found the perfect one that met our needs in the price range we could afford. Throughout the entire process Pedro advised us the entire way through the closing. He successfully negotiated down our purchased price within three bids and had the home owner make some requested (not necessary repairs) to the home. He also helped us line up our financing scoring a great rate at the time. We closed within 6 weeks of the accepted bid. Five years later when I contacted him for advise on refinancing he connected me with another terrific professional and within a few months we were able to score an amazing low interest rate on our mortgage. Buying a house was probably one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Pedro was always accessible, informative and worked hard to get what I feel was the best deal we could have asked for.
