Nyisha and her team of teachers made learning fun, and integrated learning into hands-on activities and projects to the point that my kids will now fondly flip back through the optional workbooks they were each given and reminisce about picking oranges from the tree to make orange juice or making mud pies in the mud kitchen (I think the mud was imaginary, but am not quite sure - either way it's a fond memory for my kids). Their kindergarten teachers asked where they'd gone to preschool, and I could point directly back to the way that Nyisha and her team gently and consistently guided them towards developing critical thinking skills, skills like "how to look at the book the teacher is reading so you see the pictures before she turns the page despite being in a classroom full of other interesting and distracting children", and even how they approached toilet learning with us. Thanks again to the HG Learning Academy team!

The classrooms are well-equipped with age-appropriate Montessori activities, keeping her engaged and offering practice in various subjects like English, Math, Chinese, Science, and Art. She loves her teachers and often talks about them at home. I can see they are doing an excellent job teaching her not just academics, but also good behavior and independence. The teachers organize a variety of well-planned activities and events throughout the year for both US and Chinese holidays. Our family enjoys participating in these events, and we appreciate the many photos and videos shared with parents afterward to capture the memories. Another great feature of Little Tree is the optional lunch program. For $6 a day, they provide a tasty, nutritious, and balanced meal, which is one less thing for me to worry about.

From the first interview, I knew i could trust Nona and Nono. Unlike other places that would let my son do whatever, they provided a learning structure for him that was fun and inclusive. They were very patient in communicating with him and teaching him how to verbalize his needs. It is also quite impressive how they were able to set boundaries to teach him about discipline. By the way, I think Nona makes the best healthy meals for the kids.Til this day i still struggle to have him eat beans, veggies and fruits that for some reason he would happily eat there. The place is also very clean and i can see why because everyday during pick up I watch them dry and wet vac the entire place. Tia Gris was also a phenomenal aid there. So patient, so caring, and constantly teaching them even during free play. I have nothing but praises for them. They even taught us a thing or two about parenting, which we appreciate. Just dont be late to pick up your kids, because there is zero tolerance policy lol. At the end, i feel like my kid has grown so much in the time he spent there. He's so much more verbal and independent now. Most importantly he was happy and loved there like a second family. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We have loved being part of the 1, 2, 3 Learn With Me family and feel so lucky to have found them. Nonna, Nonno, and Tia Gris provide excellent care with an educational focus. In their care, our daughter has become fluent in Spanish and has even been teaching us since we do not speak the language ourselves. She came home every day with art and activities to show us, made lots of friends, and ate a wide variety of food that we could never get her to eat at home! Nonna and Nonno are so helpful with any parenting questions or concerns - as first time parents it has been fantastic to have them on our team as we raise our kids! As the daughter of a public school teacher, I was happy to find out that many of the kids at the daycare are the children of educators. Getting to meet those parents and learn about the local schools is an added bonus as we transition into TK. We would recommend 1, 2, 3 Learn With Me to any parent looking for childcare and look forward to our son receiving the high quality care we have come to appreciate.

My daughter is on the autism spectrum, and we were turned away by several other daycares before finding Kids Corner Learning Center. I will always be grateful to Pujan and her incredible team for welcoming us with open arms. Since starting here, my daughter has made so much progress and shown incredible growth. It means the world to see how patient, understanding, and compassionate everyone has been with her unique needs. Their dedication and genuine care have made such a positive difference in our lives. I can't say enough wonderful things about Kids Corner Learning Center. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with truly caring teachers. I highly recommend it to any family looking for a supportive and nurturing environment for their child.

Our daughter has been happily attending Kids Corner since May. Even during our initial tour with…read moreour 2.5yr old daughter and the Director Ms. Pujan my wife said she felt really comfortable. Some children ran up to hug the Director when she entered the room, which was a great sign to see. Especially since we had left our daughter's prior daycare in Richmond due to lack of support and understanding of child development from the Administration level. We were therefore hopefully cautious when vetting our next daycare for our young daughter. We were seeking educational and social development, but especially a nurturing school environment where our daughter could flourish. Since our daughter has been at Kids Corner, we have appreciated being able to directly communicate with the Director Ms. Pujan or her teachers via the school's App messages, or during pick-ups. The use of the App was so reassuring for new parents because her teachers would post many individual pictures of her and her activities throughout the day. The App pictures also provide parents with an insider view of what the kids get to experience, curriculum activities, and the fun they have. Due to our daughter turning 3 years old later this month, we were informed that she would be slowly transitioning from the smaller ratio 2year old into the larger 3year old classroom. We were excited for her to be exposed to greater curriculum and a potty-training classroom, but also a little nervous our daughter may not be ready. But we were happy to hear from teachers that our daughter jumped right into the opportunity. Through the App, Kids Corner provides detailed monthly and weekly curriculum calendars so parents know what seasonal activities our kids will be engaged in. This has encouraged me to ask my daughter about her daily school activities and even incorporate some of the fun lessons at home to better enforce her learning. I feel our soon to be 3-year-old daughter and us as parents are receiving so much more from Kids Corner than we ever hoped for. Her teachers offer creative activities and lesson plans daily, you can tell teachers have spent their own home time preparing for special projects because they care so much about the children they work with. I know my daughter and the kids love the 3 different playgrounds ( including a covered playarea) and outdoor play equipment. Kids Corner feels like a Montessori classroom, meets kindergarten readiness, meets play-based exploration and positive childhood development. Once again, I would like to say, thank you to Ms. Pujan, Ms. Vivian, Ms. Fang, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Fujan, Miss Rowena, and the 2-year-old and 3-year-old classroom. ~

That first meeting really stuck with me, and it made me feel good about choosing L&P Montessori for my son. Ms. Norma, Ms. Karima, and Ms. Ava have been amazing. They go out of their way to make every child feel comfortable and cared for. My son can be a handful; he's energetic, can be wild at times, and is very selective about the people. They have been nothing but patient and kind with him. I want to comment about Ms. Jackie because I recently saw a negative review about her, and it made me really sad to see what was written about her. It's tough to see something like that written about someone, knowing that words like those can really hurt a person's character and reputation. I've never seen any of the behaviors mentioned in the negative review but only kindness from Ms. Jackie, even the times I would drop off my son and didn't know I was there. She's always sweet and patient, especially with kids who are having a rough morning. My son is talkative and not afraid to speak his mind if something's wrong. If there was ever anything off, my son would be the first to tell me if Ms. Jackie was not nice. Even in the older kids' classrooms, the staff and teachers are friendly, nice, and acknowledges you during drop off/pick-ups. It's a place where I know my son is safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. I'm so glad we found Learn and Play Montessori.

Are you okay with minimal communication? 2. Do you have the time and energy to do your own documentation for incidents involving your child? 3. Are you okay with paying additional fees for dropping off your child 5 minutes early and/or picking up less than 5 minutes late? 4. Is quantity more important than quality? 5. Will you appreciate dealing with a rude and unprofessional site director (Lizette)? 6. Do you like leaving your child with undervalued and unhappy teachers? 7. Would you be okay with other children having "behavioral reports" on record, despite the site director's son's consistent behavioral issues being ignored? 8. Do you appreciate escalating an issue to the site director's boss, only to have it swept under the rug because the two have each other's backs? 9. Do you don't think high turnover of teachers and staff is normal? 10. Are you okay with no transparency and accountability? If you answered "yes" to any or all of the questions above, then this school will be the perfect fit for you and your child! Good luck. Note that if you do have any issues you want to report, it is nearly impossible to find contact information for the appropriate person. It will take some investigative work, so prepare yourself. Again, good luck!
