First time coming here for some breakfast, and I gotta say it was super tasty! Has an old timey bistro vibe, the staff was super friendly and very prompt. We were a group of 5 adults and a toddler, so not a small group. They were fast, and attentive to us before and after getting our food. Props to the young gentleman as our waiter. Definitely will be back, and will suggest this establishment to others!

Spent the day on Gun Lake and stopped at Curley Cone on the way back home for some ice cream. We had our dog with us, so it was great that they had a drive through option. There were paper menus in boxes along the drive in path as well as on a large sign before you turn into the drive-thru. The drive-thru window team was courteous and quick. The ice cream was great as well. We had strawberry shake, heath bar and whippy dip flurries. Good size, great ice cream! We will definitely stop here again!

Julia's wicked addiction

Been coming here since I was in middle school, such a fan of the ice cream selections and mixtures, especially Julia's wicked addiction with hot fudge or a strawberry cheesecake flurry. Generally, quick service, considering how busy they usually are, and how young the employees are! A great place to take your grandkids, friends, grandparents... You can't go wrong!

Chicken and fried mushrooms

Waited 30 minutes for fried food 3 customers inside and an empty parking lot to wait for half an hour for cold food with no sauce, I think they forgot about me. So I'll forget about going back

No real chocolate ice cream. What kind of ice cream shop only has vegan chocolate? They have other hand scooped.

I will have to say this is the coolest bakery and culinary experience I have been to in a while,…read moreservice was amazing, the shashuka was super tasty and extremely fresh, and they had this cute band playing folk music when we went, they also had a local artist with hand carved fish exhibited there and we ended up loving it so much we bought two of them definitely worth going to if you're in the area of central Michigan

I've heard great things about Sarkozy Bakery for years, but never had a chance to stop in since…read morethey close at 5 pm or earlier. We happened to be in town during lunch time so Nate and I stopped in for a quick bite. Their lunch menu includes some sandwiches, a couple salads, pizza, soup, and quiche. I got the ham and cheese sandwich, and Nate got an 8" pizza. The food came out pretty quickly, and I liked the sandwich. It had plenty of mayo and thickly sliced ham and cheese. It came with a little cup of pickled veggies, which I enjoyed. I had a bite of the pizza, which was very tasty! The prices were great - I think my sandwich was $7.50. We also got some pastries for dessert - I chose the cherry danish, and Nate got the pistachio croissant. Both were very tasty and not too sweet. The vibe of this bakery is more old-school and homey than some of the more "trendy" bakeries that I'm used to - not a bad thing, just a little different. They sell loaves of bread, cookies, and pastries. I loved their merch, too - cute pins, hats, tote bags, etc. They have brunch every Sunday and they were swapping out some art while we were there. It's a cute spot and I'm glad I finally got to check it out.

Beautiful little bakery with a huge parking lot! This place gets packed and for good reason!…read more Apple cider donuts are phenomenal, the almond cookies are delightful and soft, the fresh orange juice is well worth $5 a cup, and the muffins are huge. So many things to choose from, good luck!!

Today, was a cloudy and cold Wednesday mid morning. The place was busy, but no long wait times. The food is always good. Everything I've ever eaten on the menu is good... but I have a special affinity for pig 'n the blankets, banket, and any Mexican inspired breakfast item in the menu. Today I had the chorizo Benny. It was fabulous and worth the $15 imo. Our waiter, Pedro, was the best! He's worked there for over a decade and knows the family that runs this restaurant--- 3 Dutch brothers--- he gave me a run down on the lore and all the pictures are of their family photos hanging around the restaurant. I think that's pretty cool. They will be opening and expanding into a new restaurant location on the corner of River and Lakewood Blvd sometime in the near future. That location will have more of a "hipster" vibe with breakfast cocktails, etc. Check them out when you want... but if you don't want to wait come during off peak hours and off season times. Make sure to peruse their bakery for some goodies to take home. Salud.

There are coffee shops that serve great coffee... and then there are coffee shops that make you…read moreinstantly feel something. The second I walked into Uncommon Coffee Roasters, I was hit with the smell of fresh bread. It immediately took me back to my grandma's kitchen. She used to bake a loaf of bread just for me--with no nuts, because she knew that's how I liked it. Walking into her house, I always knew exactly what she was making. It's funny how a smell can transport you somewhere in an instant. Then I looked over at the bakery case. Mistake. Everything looked fresh, homemade, and absolutely beautiful. We had plans to spend the rest of the day walking around Saugatuck, so I talked myself out of buying a loaf... and regretted that decision before we were even back out the door. Despite the line stretching from the counter almost to the entrance, the staff handled it like absolute pros. Everyone behind the counter seemed completely in sync, moving quickly without making the experience feel rushed. Watching them work was almost entertaining in itself. The shop has a colorful, artsy personality that fits Saugatuck perfectly. It feels modern without losing that cozy small-town charm. Between the artwork, the cheerful cups (seriously... how cute are they?), and people scattered throughout reading, chatting, working on laptops, or simply enjoying their coffee, it felt like the kind of place you naturally want to linger. As for the coffee... We ordered three different drinks and somehow all landed on winners. My Don't Be Salty cold brew (cold brew with caramel and salted caramel cold foam) was phenomenal. Another in our group ordered the Caramel Silk latte, and judging by the smile after the first sip, I'd call that a success too. I honestly couldn't tell you what our third friend ordered... only that all three of us agreed we'd happily order our drinks again. Some coffee shops are just a quick caffeine stop. Uncommon Coffee Roasters feels like part of the Saugatuck experience. We'll absolutely be back... and next time, I'm buying the bread,
