I made four attempts at other places to get a copy of a key made with no luck. I was referred to Curley's. I was told my padlock was imported and the key was thicker than usual than a key made in the U.S. They were able to make and modify a key that worked. I was impressed considering Lowe's and Home Depot could not do the job. In the process they earned A new customer. It looks like they do a lot more than make keys there. Very bad service! They treat their customers like beggars begging for alms! They can't even look you in the eye! I have 2 keys made for my car, the attendant is talking to me across the other end of the store and we're yelling the specifics of the keys and the price. Once I paid for the items I bought, I told the sales person that I'm going to try it on my car which is just parked outside the store. Once I tried the keys, 1st turn, it already broke into 2 pieces and the end part was left inside the key socket. I told the sales person what had happened. He came out removed the stocked piece, then I asked if he's going to replace it since I just tried it the 1st time, and it already is broken. He tried the other key and my original keys (which both worked) and told me he's not going to replace it because "You are the one who broke it!"! I did not argue with him anymore. I was only waiting for him to explain to me why he can't replace it in a nicer and non-confrontational manner, but I don't see any point in arguing. read more

I had an appointment for them to come out and rekey my house today. They've been good up to now, calling me to check in on the time, probably spoke to them 2 or 3 times today. 4:30 comes and its an hour past their appt time and I figured since they've been so good so far, something must be up so I call. The guy on the phone tells me their previous appointment took longer than expected and they can't make it today. They can call me for every other thing but not to let me know they aren't coming?! Wow, won't do business with them ever again and will let everyone know about their customer service. I called another locksmith that came up first in my area on Yelp (with all 5 star reviews) and he's coming in 30 minutes. These guys are the best. My remote (fob) broke some time ago and I never replaced it. After calling the dealer, they wanted $275.00 and my truck for the day. Rick at Curley's took care of me and programmed the remote key I bought on the Internet. All other locksmiths I called about programming for my 2012 Hyundai Sonata charged $30 - $80 even if it didn't work. Rick did it for $20 only if it worked...and it did work. Very dishonest people there avoid this place. I bought a few chip key on eBay for about $12, I brought it to these guy to copy, and twice they purposely messed up my key. I am telling ya these guys are not happy about the fact that I only spent $12 for a high quality chip key on eBay, these guys purposely messed it up so that they can try to sell you their key for over $200. I've brought my chip key to some hole in the wall place with some old equipment and they cut it no problem time after time. FYI: If you happen to own a Toyota or Lexus for about $30 you can buy the following item on eBay and save hundred$$$ of dollar. All alone with a very senior dog in severe pain and declining fast due to thyroid cancer. Needed to get her to the vet for euthanasia, but my neighbor who'd been upgrading the sadly neglected fluids on my car managed to misplace my key. Came here to get my copies of my car keys using my own blanks that I bought on eBay. Since I have a old school car I have a VAT ignition key and regular key for doors/truck. I was helped my a tall white gentlemen and explain I needed two copies and explain to him I had my key blanks. I don't know what he was smoking or thinking that instead of doing copies of my two keys he made copies of only the VAT key using my two blanks. So my original GM door blank key was ruin. Nevertheless, my ignition did work and well I trashed the door key and never when back and told them. He charged me $4. read more

I brought my entire lock set here out of my classic car to have them rekeyed.The heavy set younger guy said no problem and that they would also replace all the stainless steel lock covers.When I came to pick them up the guy said they colud not rekey the glove box or the trunk.So he went ahead and rekeyed the doors and the ignition lock.He made 5 keys for the ignition lock and one for the door ? Why? now I am stuck with 3 different keys to operate the vehicle.He also said they would put new tumbler covers on.The covers were all dented and they only put "new " ones on the door locks.When I told the guy he said that "none of this was there problem" ,not even the fact that they cut 5 keys for one lock and 1 for the other.I basically got ripped off for $45 .I wish I would have just bought an aftermarket lock set.Now I'm stuck with a complete mess.If you own a classic car do yourself a favor and find a better alternative than this place. read more

I went to the this shop on Friday and ordered six unique locks. the person behind the counter took my order and wrote me out a claim check. He ran my credit card for the full amount but provided me nothing but the claim check. They called me yesterday to go pick up the locks. I went today at about 3 in the afternoon. When I got there, the same guy tried to charge me for the locks of second time. Two of the people in the shop started telling me I had to have a receipt which was not provided to me at the time and wasn't brought up until I asked for one. It took 15 minutes for these guys to figure out that it was paid for. I found them to be rude and inept. before they realized I was standing there, the profanity coming from behind the counter was amazing for a business open to the public. I will not ever use this business again and I certainly would not recommend them to anybody I know. They have still yet to provide me with a receipt for my money. read more

We called Curley's for our place of business to come out and install keypad locks on four doors and a panic lock. First time they came out my manager was in a meeting and I was going to talk with them letting know what we wanted. Our front office personnel miscommunicated information and told the gentlemen that came out he was in a meeting. Said he would return later that day. NEVER Showed up. Made a second appointment, and the they never showed up again for the second appointment. Called Curley's to see if they could refer someone else for this particular job, and the gentlemen said that they don't work with others. BAD Business. When I told the gentlemen who answered the phone what happen it seemed like they didn't care if they had our business. I've lived in Pomona all my life and Curley's has been around forever.
