If I could give them a 10 star I would. Mike was so responsive and so helpful. He was quick, he was friendly, professional...my husband and I just bought our first home and everything has been a little chaotic/stressful and BUSY! We had a little situation (some concerns) about the previous owners and their access to the property. I called Jacks, spoke with Mike, who by the way is about $5 cheaper per lock than several other businesses in the area. I called him at 930 and he was able to squeeze me in less than an hour later before his other appointments. Later in the day I had an issue with my gate so I called Mike back. I thought it was because of the lock, so I sent him pics and he came by as soon as he wrapped his day. It ended up being a gate issue (which was off balance and therefore not locking) and Mike ended up fixing it for me anyways!! He was so wonderful, 100% recommend!! read more

Came in to get a copy of my house key. Key was faulty and completely jammed my doorknob. Tried everything to get it out: pliers, WD-40, the works. My family and I have used this service before, however, after the latest debacle, I will be looking elsewhere. The owner is rude and unwilling to fess up to his mistakes. I took a key that I needed duplicated. Sounds easy enough. I handed the key to the employee and she made the key and I left. I get home and I go to use the duplicate key and it doesn't work! A bit frustrating, but I figure this place will just "remake" the correct key. Wrong! I explain to the owner that the key does not work and that it is a mirror image of my original key. He then proceeds to chastise and blame ME, and tells ME that I should have educated myself in the exact blank that I needed! Are you serious? He is not willing to remake the key for free, he is unwilling to apologize for the mistake of his employee, instead he is combative and rude and says I should have known what blank to use to tell his employee. Wow, I am beyond words with this establishment. Mistakes are made, but most companies/retailers do what they can to make it right. The old man was unwilling, so he in essence stole my money. I paid for an item that is unusable and he refused to make it right. This man is a crook. Do not give him your business. read more

I had lost a set of my truck keys for 04 F150 with the remote fob. I was worried since I only had one original key and needed to have a backup. I called Jack's on Sunday and they said they could program a new key- no problem. So, needing a key programmed I headed down with my daughter to Jack's and was greeted kindly. Incredibly bad experience with this place. Stopped by while in town visiting family because I had heard good things. Had 2 key copies made to give to friends for cat sitting, since my partner and I are headed out of town on a trip. I get home and try out one of the keys and sure enough, jammed in the door. I tried everything to get it out: wire, turning it certain ways, wiggling it certain ways, lubricant. Nothing worked. Ended up needing to call a locksmith to get into my home and have a $350 bill on my hands. The locksmith told us this happens all the time and to put them in contact with Jacks Key Service if needed to explain the problem, they were great. But when we called Jack's to explain the problem they told us it was our fault for calling a locksmith, they aren't helping with the bill, and we can't get a refund. All they can do is fix the key if we bring it in, which may I add is an hour away. Very very disappointed. Do not recommend this place. read more

This is the worst businessman ever. I tried to get a second key fob for my vehicle. My wife called yesterday to confirm the business hours for Sunday. She was informed by one of the employees that they were closed at 4:00pm. Even their business hours are listed on Yelp at 4:00. Not only does the owner, who I had a privilege to speak with is rude, but so is his other employees. If you're going to treat your customers with such disrespect, why even own a business? I drove from Glendora to Upland to get my key fob, I'm not going to cater to them to their convenience. Went to Jack's because the rip-off artists at Toyota (sorry, "dealer") wanted to charge almost $300 to program a new key for my 2013 Corolla. I first went to Ace (which charges like $75, but their machine doesn't work ‍), and then found Jack's. Mike was super knowledgeable, and had us in and out of there in 15 min. For the 1-star reviews on here... Mike is a man of few words, and most of them are sarcastic (and funny) as hell. I can't help if people think he's abrupt... he works at a place that makes keys and sells/sharpens knives, what do you want the guy to be, a poet? Bottom line: He gets the job done (and for less than half what the dealer charges). He's got my business going forward, 100%. read more

I didn't catch the Woman's name who fixed my keys, but this was the fastest, kindest and most effortless process. Toyota said they wanted 150.00 + to fix my keys. Went today about 20 mins ago. It says online that it's open till 6pm, I went at 5:20. I pulled up there was a guy outside on a bench. I parked walked up to the door and it was locked. I walked around to the side since it had windows that looked like they serve through but no one came. So I left, went to Lowes and used there self serve kiosk. A couple $280+ quotes from dealers and car key makers for my broken Lexus key led me to see if Jack's could beat the price. In about 15 min, he was able to repair the key with a new metal key and new plastic housing for the fob. Out the door for $65. I also have a 2005 with just one key. Without a second key, it's more difficult/costly to get a spare made. But he knew the trick including turning the ignition on/off 8 times, which allowed him to program a new key and fob for my Ford. All in all a great shop. They sharpen knives too if you're looking for that. read more

You have proven how rude you are by saying I was taking my time choosing keys( that I was going to pay for) they are character keys I think that's how it works. You look for what you would like. Furthermore I was not in your store longer than 10 minutes. So for you to insinuate that I was taking my time is incorrect. Also wearing a mask has nothing to do with how I was treated. The woman's disposition was uncalled for and so is your response to my review. As far as the pricing is concerned I was a first time customer, why would you think I would know your extra charges? If you had good customer service you would explain this to your customers. Maybe a little training of good customer service would be helpful in order to avoid negative feedback.
