I was worried as to how I would change USD into Japanese Yen and started to research some banks in the area, as I was told they were the most reliable. However, after a quick search on Google, I was able to find this place. I spoke with someone on the phone right when they opened yesterday. I didn't get her name, but she was extremely helpful and told me their current exchange rates without any fuss. The rate was really good and I made my way there within the hour. Manvel helped me exchange the currency within two to three minutes and I was out of the joint within 5 minutes. Manvel was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with ease! So easy! Free exchange, went in with cash and came out with foreign cash ahead of my international trip, so didn't have to worry about getting gouged at the airport and losing money on the switch. I called ahead to make sure that the location had the type of money I needed, so I do recommend you do that! We love LAcurrency- we always get foreign currency here when we travel - the staff are awesome and their exchange rates just can't be beat! Plus they always have a Yelp check in offer - $3 off $300 on exchanges. Their exchange fees are also very reasonable- truly the best we've ever found...they beat all the banks and definitely the airport kiosks lol. We've always used the downtown office in the past since my hubby's office is nearby - but since the pandemic caused him to work from home, we wanted somewhere closer - this location was excellent! We needed some Canadian dollars - I called ahead of time to make sure they had enough and the man I spoke to was absolutely wonderful! So friendly and helpful. He let me know exactly how much I'd be getting and the fees etc - just lovely to chat to. And the lady that helped us in person was just as nice and service is super fast! They're located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. It felt very safe. Our Canadian bills were all in excellent condition- most of them looked brand new even. I've never been here when it's been busy - there's usually only one other customer there which fortunately means that it's usually a pretty quick transaction.
