The process was smooth. However, the desk clerk at Aventura Mall, Aventura, FL, did 'not' disclose the total fees for the Currency Exchange. The exchange of $328.50 for Colones (Costa Rica) had an Exchange fee of $5 and the added Currency Price Protection Fee (I chose to opt for it). Those were the only fees I was informed of. I asked clearly about all the fees. I received $286.46 worth of Colones. Where is the $42. and change of colones? Customer service by phone mentioned they have a 5 to 7% banking fee. What?! 42$! I highly recommend going elsewhere. Fees are hidden and extreme. I do not need another 'robotic' apology from Currency Exchange. read more

Provided the rate, told me about the fees and offered to hold it for me. She even told me when she would be out on break since she is there alone. Great service. First off they hardly had any euros, only €200 and then the exchange rate was pretty bad. If you can just get it from your personal bank.

CXI has an excellent policy where you can bring in your previous receipt and have the exchange fee waived on a new transaction. I stopped in again this week to exchange more currency and the employee had forgotten to remove the fee from my transaction. I noticed after I made it home and gave them a call to see what they could do. The manager was very courteous and apologized for the inconvenience. She had my fee refunded and waiting for me to pick up in cash at my earliest convenience. I was extremely satisfied, once again, with the service I received here and will continue to only take my currency exchange business to CXI. Highly recommend!! read more

I love these guys! I started using them a few years ago because of the convenience...but their friendly attitude and exceptional customer service kept me coming back. Originally I was dealing with Angie & Giselle...they were awesome? Then I met Laury S. and Sandi....again, incredibly nice!!! Yesterday, instead of buying foreign currency, I actually had some to sell back to them; Swiss Francs and South African Rand. I was helped by a gentleman named Bernardo Lopez, an incredibly friendly and professional young man. He went above and beyond the call of duty to see that I could get the highest rate of exchange for my sale....and this took a bit of time, so, he made sure that I had a seat to make me comfortable...and a bottle of water...and then he did, in fact, get me a good rate!! I will continue to take my business to them because they are really friendly and will make calls to see if there are better rates elsewhere and then match those rates. THANKS GUYS! read more
