They literally paid for someone else's insurance policy with our money. We identified this issue in less than 20 minutes, however, after calling them over the course of 2 days and explaining the issue to them, they are still going to take about 20 DAYS to do their little investigation and "cut us a check" once they determine their mistake. You might have better luck having someone else manage your money; like a distant relative that you knew when you were 5 but don't speak to anymore, or a stranger on the street.

After researching with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, I discovered that Embassy Loans does not hold a Title Loan Lender License under Chapter 537, Florida Statutes -- which is required for this kind of loan. They publicly market "auto title loans," yet only hold a consumer finance license (Chapter 516), which does not authorize loans using a car title as collateral. Under Florida law, unlicensed title loans are considered void, and lenders may be required to refund all money collected. I've since filed a formal complaint with state regulators and the Attorney General. If you're considering a loan here, verify their license first and understand your rights before signing anything.
