It's easy to get a good review when everything goes well; however, when things go bad, it's nearly…read moreimpossible. I say "nearly impossible" because I am about to report one of those rare instances. I reported a problem with an A/C installation performed by Anthony four years earlier at my daughter's home, and immediately, Anthony stepped up and took full responsibility for fixing the error and all the resulting damage that occurred as a result. My most sincere appreciation and thanks to Steve and Kelly!

Inept technician & customer Service. Called Anthony to help install a smart thermostat. I had…read moretried installing and it didn't want to power up with the normal wiring scheme, but would with the included power adapter that came with the thermostat. We had also called to have our A/C checked out as well and they told us that had to be 2 DIFFERENT technicians, EACH with a $150 service charge. Don't really understand how someone who is qualified to work on the electrical components of an A/C condensor is not qualified to connect a thermostat, but... The apparent "special" Technician for the thermostat arrived when I was not at home, but I spoke with him over the phone and described the issue where the thermostat would not power up with the standard 5-wire configuration, but would when using the 4-wire adapter. He looked into it and called me back a short time later that said that they Anthony PHCE charges $500 to install a smart thermostat. I just wanted it done so agreed. Once I arrived home I found out from my wife that they technician claimed the smart Thermostat was broken and that he couldn't install it and put the old thermostat back on. He said it shouldn't need the adapter and because it didn't work with the normal wiring it must be broken. Never mind that I told him exactly what he found over the phone before he began. Despite not completing the job we called them for, that didn't stop him from charging us the $500! Fast Forward a couple of months I decided to give it another shot myself and just to start from a clean slate I spend $15 to replace the wire from the furnace to the thermostat. AMAZING, that made it work. Turns out the "5th" wire must have been damaged so it wasn't getting power. Very sad that a special technician for performing this specific type of work didn't even know how to check for a broken wire. When I called them to request a refund for at least the Thermostat installation (I was fine with paying for the service call since they did come out), I explained the situation to 2 different people. They told me the Service Manager would review it and get back to me. Once I did receive the call, they told me that they would not refund any portion. I explained the whole situation again and the gentleman commented that is not what the people I had previously spoken too wrote down. They took it back to the Service Manager who again refused the refund on the basis that I did not let them come out again to fix it. Why in the world would I call back incompetent people who could not diagnose something as simple as a broken wire? Furthermore, I didn't know what the problem was myself until I fixed it, so there is nothing to call them back for. Based on Anthony PHCE's obsurdly high prices, duping people into paying multiple service calls and still charging people for work their "professionals" could not complete, I am amazed anyone uses their services.

Our service professional was Sam Sanchez, who has been to our home before. I wanted to compliment him for his timeliness in arriving at our home almost exactly at the time of the appointment. He treated my wife and I with respect and explained what he was going to do and the cost associated with the service. We believe we received a more than fair value for the service done. Thanks so much, Sam!

I called Teague to have them look at a wired smoke detector I thought I had a problem with. When…read morethey arrived, the electrician said it was not a smoke decor wired to the security system, and he could not fix it. He did nothing more than look at it, then walked out. Came back few minutes later saying the charge was $125. ( You should know that Teague installed the wiring, smoke detectors and security system in the house when it was built.) After paying and thinking about what they charged me, I called the Teague office to discuss it. When I called, I was told the manager had just stepped out, but the receptionist said he would call me back when he came back. He never called back. If they came out and found a problem, and I decided not to have them repair it, I could see them charging me for the service call. But coming out, looking at it and telling me they could not work on it, and then charging me $125, I think is a poor business practice. They put the system in, so obviously they could work on it. And then not calling me back, another poor business practice. I will not call them again, they obviously have no concern for their customers, they only care about how much money they can get out of them. If you need an electrician, call elsewhere and get someone you can trust to do the work, not walk away with your money.

Emily and Cody showed up for an estimate 30 mins past the agreed time. They provided an estimate of…read more$8,500. My other estimates have all been below $2,000 (except 1, I left them a review on Yelp also), and lowest one being a bit below $1,500. This one is by far the biggest scam in all of Kansas City. This should qualify for attempted robbery. How is this not criminal? Shameless and disgusting. Hope your business burns to the ground. Response to the below: First, learn to count and type. There are 2 other companies that I left poor reviews for. People should be informed of the truth. I know that is something that is unknown to you and the people who work for you. You actually have the nerve to respond to me and try to justify? Wow. Who raised you? How can you even act surprised from my feedback? Can you focus on the pure number that I was quoted? Your "business" quoted me with $8,500 when the real cost of the job is below $1,500. Do you understand that the kids you sent to my address just tried to scam me for $7,000? Of course, with your permission and teachings! You are not running a business, you know exactly what this is. Do not make assumptions about how many companies I have had provide me with estimates based on a few poor reviews on Yelp for people like yourself. Your mind thinks this is about the price? This is about morals and ethics. Best of luck staying in business. The world needs more people with morals and ethics, try to get some. Call me anytime so I can lecture you about the consequences of your behaviors. Try having some shame. Take accountability for being called out on the truth and realize you cannot hide your true colors. Best of luck to you with karma. Feel extremely grateful that I am not filing formal complaints against your business yet. Do NOT dare justify or act surprised when you know exactly that the kids you sent have 0 morals also and are going nowhere in their lives, similar to their boss. Learn from this, stop these kinds of acts against people immediately. Get some morals and ethics, and don't let me catch you doing this again to anyone. I will file formal complaints and have your "business" shut down if you don't understand what that means. Because you are NOT running a business, and you won't be allowed to continue to operate under such name. Change, and begin treating people fairly. Otherwise, be prepared for the moral and legal consequences. Your choice!
