    Butter chicken
    john b.

Classic food court butter chicken I eat whenever I get the Indian curry cravings. Really dislike their new boxes which I find very annoying as you try to mix the curry and the rice. I preferred their previous way of just having the curry on top of the rice. Also with a fork, it's hard to scoop the curry so you have to ask for a spoon if you can remember.

Butter chicken with rice and raita

The raita and butter chicken are nice. I wish they have a combo option for 2 types of curries with rice/naan only (no need drink). Instead of 1 curry with rice or rice and naan or the bigger combo which comes with rice and naan and a drink. The chili on the side is spicy and gives a kick to the food.

This is the golden standard for mall food. I have been here many times, and will most likely continue to come here many more in the future. What we have here is a broad variety of tasty curry and indian dishes at a fantastic price - and lo; it was beheld unto me that vegetarian options were plentiful! The combo special is certainly where it's at. 2 curries of your choice, rice, naan and a soft drink for about 8$. And when I say curries of your choice they really give you some options. Off the top of my head I can recall: butter chicken, beef curry, chicken curry, spicy vegetable, yogurt pakura curry, daal (lentil curry), peas 'n' cheese, alu ghobi, and I'm sure I'm missing a couple of others. Certainly not bad for a mall fast food stop. And that doesn't even take in to account the other dishes they have on the menu. Of course being the nature of fast food restaurants, it isn't exactly the freshest food you'll ever eat but I've never been sick when I've eaten there and I've never been left hungry afterwards. This is more than I can say for just about any other place in the metrotown food court where either one or the other occurs. This place really comes through on exactly what it's supposed to be: a great bang-for-your-buck place to fill up while taking a break from shopping or running errands at metrotown. Not worth going out of your way for otherwise, but certainly worth going for if you happen to be there and get hungry.

I ordered a combo 1 ($10.50) which included two curries, rice, naan and a drink. The portion size was decent for the price. The quality was not the best. However, I was satisfied with my meal. The butter chicken was mild and creamy. The palak paneer was alright. Naan was warm and fresh.

I would also describe the food as modern since there are some cool fusion dishes such as the mango burrata (I didn't end up ordering this but I wish I did!) Overall the food was very flavorful. I'm already thinking about my next bowl of biryani!

I want to start this review by giving a big shoutout to Pemba who was our server, he was so kind and took such good care of us and recommended really good items based on what we wanted. Everything I tried from here was 10/10! Some stand out items - :: Bombay pomfret fry - OH! The masala and coating on this was sooo good we were sucking on the bones till the very end. Such a great appetizer! :: Lasooni palak burrata - I was a little apprehensive about this at first because burrata and palak didn't seem like something I would want to try but I was wrong! This was one of my favourite dishes. It was such a delicious fusion item. For dessert, I would recommend getting their soan papdi malai khwaab and their malai ghewar. Not too sweet, just perfect. For drinks, aam pana with gin is the way to go. I really cannot wait to come back and order everything again!

Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch--friendly, attentive, and efficient. I'd definitely come back again.

So not what I was looking for and I wasn't too fond of whatever was mixed in to make the sausages. The texture is not that of regular sausage meat. Granted most things here are vegetarian the fact they had lamb was great. It tasted good just not my thing. So give it a try I liked the mint chutney (had to ask them what it was that was served with it) And some sort of mango drink (I'm sure it's not just mango. It was thick like yogurt but solid mango taste. Really good. And good with the spicy prawns. The young new server was probably the most polite girl I've ever met. Tipped her personally. Seating is you pick. They have chairs, or half or full booths. And there's apparently a buffet option if you just wanna try things out. Parking is available. And wasn't too busy at 11:30 am

The space here is truly massive, and…read morewhile it was mostly empty when we came at around 2:30 - I can picture the hubbub of activity that would be present during peak dinner hours. This does seem to be a highly recommended place to eat Indian food in Surrey. I had the Non-Veg Thali, which isn't on the menu, but the waitress helpfully let us know about. It's very customizable - and I went with garlic naan, rice, two tandoori chicken pieces, lamb vindaloo, and shahi paneer - all in a single plate! Pretty much everything was excellent. I'm not even sure where to start. The garlic naan was fantastic. Soft, buttery, with just a slight hint of garlic and lightly charred on the outside. I could honestly eat this by itself and be satisfied. Garlic naan is a staple of what I order whenever eating Indian food, and this might be the best one I've had. The shahi paneer was also great; tomato-forward, creamy, and the paneer was super soft. The lamb vindaloo was a real standout. It was immensely flavorful - not lacking for spice at all - but you don't just taste capsaicin - you taste all the cumin, cardamom, and garam mixed in with the curry. But the lamb itself is the best part of the curry; it's so tender and juicy. The absolute peak, though, was the tandoori chicken. These were two large dark meat pieces, which were cooked to absolute perfection - retaining so much juice and fat. The skin was a perfect deep orange, seasoned with a ton more spices. It's like eating fried chicken but without the breading, but this was arguably even better. The masala fries were the only thing kind of a miss - as they lacked any masala. The price of the thali was only 23 CAD. That's a pretty insane deal for how much food you get - I was unable to finish everything on my plate despite being very hungry. Honestly two people could share this and be satisfied. When you consider how much sharing and new orders for bread, rice, and curries goes on at your typical Indian restaurant, this is crazy good value. Overall, I would classify this as the best Indian food I've had outside of Asia. 9.5/10
