First off, customer service was excellent. I'm not super familiar all the Indian cuisine ingredients, and they were helpful explaining the ingredients and processes. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and the gobi Manchurian. The chicken vindaloo had really good spices and flavor. The chicken however was a bit on the dry side. Now the Gobi Manchurian made all the difference. It was cooked to order. Spicy with a little crunch (I ordered take-out, so it may have been crunchier had it not had a lid and condensation). First time trying it and I will definitely try to make my own version since there's no Indian cuisine in my area. I'm happy I stopped by. I would gladly return in the future when I'm in town. Went back here recently, and this is my first time at the new location. This was my first time trying butter chicken. Overall, it was good. Nothing over the top and nothing bad just normal good. My dish had zero spice level to it so it was easy to eat, though I do not mind a little bit of spice but this had none. I do wish they gave you a couple pieces of naan nstead of one. I would prefer two pieces of naan over just one and maybe two potato balls instead of three. Those potato balls were pretty basic as well. I got the $16 large meal bowl so it came with my entrée, a side, and a drink which was fair. I also added on a small order of those sweet dessert balls, which I have always enjoyed. The butter chicken had zero flavor -- no seasoning, no depth, just bland sauce with what looked like a few boiled chunks of chicken thrown in. I had malwani chicken which was good. Slightly spicy there's no opportunity to choose a spice level, which is understandable with fast food. I would've liked spicier. Service was friendly and quick. Within a minute or possibly two, the cashier brought our meals to the counter where we had seated ourselves. We got a Butter Chicken Curry bowl and a Chicken Tikka Masala Curry which came with Koftas. This is our first time at the new location. We loved our food-- chicken masala for Bookguy and chana masala for me. They were just a good as we remembered. We planned on using the drive thru, but it looked like there was only one window for both ordering and pickup. The menu outside the window showed very limited offerings so we went inside instead. Our order was taken quickly by friendly counter staff and came quickly too. The problem I had was the very uncomfortable seating. There were bar stools at narrow counters along two walls. This is the first time I've been to their location on 72nd St. since they moved to this location.. I did not pre-order. I pulled up to the window. The service was prompt, but I was shocked at the price! I ordered one chickpea and rice bowl... Garlic naan, and one Samosa chatt.. It was over $25. There were no prices on the menu when I ordered so I was unaware... So shame on me. They brought the food but came back to tell me that the Samosa chaat did not come with mint chutney... That was extra .. When I arrived home with my food, I was hugely disappointed.. the Samosa chaat was drenched in grease.. like their fryer wasn't hot enough when they put it in... It was definitely not edible.... The mint chutney was watered down and had more of a liquid consistency than a chutney consistency... Flavorless and again very disappointed... The Chana masala had an ok flavor.. but was dry.. and I find it interesting that all the other bowls come with non-... However, I paid $5 for a side of garlic naan..and no mention of the naan that came with the bowls.. Overall... Big disappointment. Our first introduction to Curry in a Hurry was soon after they first opened. An Indian restaurant with a drive through?? Genius. And when we first tried the drive through, it was glorious. The naan was delicious, the sauce and protein were together in a little plastic cup getting all marinated, and the fluffy rice was in a separate container (to keep everything fresh, to put it all together at home). Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a little different from the fabulous first time. I ordered the Butter Chicken, which was very saucy and tasty last time. This time, though, it was all in one container. The meat and sauce on top of the rice, and not as much of the sauce as before, either - making it all a little bit dry and tasteless without the right amount of sauce. The chicken chunks were also pretty large, making the insides of each piece pretty dry too. I love Butter Chicken, so I still ate it obviously, but knew that it had been better the first time, which was disappointing. Gave this another shot and had a better experience than last time. I got the combo meal which was actually good potion of two entrees with rice bread and kofta. The tikka masala wasn't as spicy this time around and it was overall pretty good. I tried the masala eggs again which were good and Malabar Parotta which was unique and new to me. I enjoyed it. I also tried the Bombay tea and it was... awful. I'm sorry but I had to throw the tea away. Ive eaten the Chicken Vindaloo here a handful of times and its been great to pretty bad. Today it was horrible. Chicken is very dry & almost inedible. Plus the price has increased dramatically. Also, im a salt lover , but this tasted way to salty for even me. In general it seemed like it had been made days ago then sat in a fridge and dried out. My first visit and I must admit, at first I wasn't going to stop, fast food curry- naa. I was thinking of my first and last visit to Panda Express, not good. But since I know this wasn't a chain (I think), I decided it was worth the try. I would like to give it 3.5 stars, so I gave 3, I couldn't give it a 4, not yet anyway. The menu is limited, but has all the standards you expect in an Indian curry restaurant, vindaloo, paneer and tiki Marsala, I got the Tiki Marsala and it was pretty good. I liked it better than Curri Express. I could definitely taste all of the spices and it had huge chunks of chicken breast ( I would have preferred smaller bites), the heat level was great, while in can go hotter, anyone should be able to eat it. The rice was bland and the naan was just ok. What I liked most is that it is clear that they make all the food from scratch. The staff is super friendly, nice and helpful. I am happy to welcome an authentic Indian restaurant to this part of Omaha. I will come again, I'd like to work my way through the menu. They have their own parking space and it gives the fast food restaurant vibe serving Indian food. Hubby got the combo meal ...Malwani chicken ( SPICY!!! and we eat spicy food)and malai chicken ( which was okay), it's served with kofta and rice and a piece of naan, got a malwani chicken for to go , the fusion tandoori quesadilla for the kidddo , comes with cilantro rice and salsa ( kiddo loved it ) and I had the samosa chaat. The quesadilla and samosa chaat are part of their Friday specials which run over the weekend as well plus mango lassi. Total was around $50 before taxes.... Not bad. There was a little wobble with one of their workers giving some people a less-spicy curry a while back, but one small word to the owners, and it was resolved! There are vegan bowls and a few specials too. Almost everything is under $10! I had the Chicken Tikka Masala ($9.99) over a bed of rice. It was flavorful and fresh. The samosas ($3.99- 3 per order) were lightly fried and crunchy. This was my favorite part of my order! The garlic naan ($2.25) was a thick bread sliced and folded in foil. On November 26, you didn't put on online menu that your chicken Tikka Masala had cashews in it. After my 17yo finished meal 30 minutes later he called your restaurant to ask if the dish had nuts in it; your staff member initially said it didn't. Then my 17 yo son said he was having an allergic reaction. Finally someone admitted it had. Now he's is in the PICU at Children's Hospital because the way the cashew was cooked in the dish delivered the allergen throughout his body like a delayed release weapon. Stopped in for lunch today, hadn't been before. Immediately as I walked into the door I was greeted and asked if I'd been there before. When I said no, she went through and started to explain everything on the menu and told me what each thing was. I ordered the number 6 which she warned me was spicy, to which I said "bring it on." When you are in a hurry and you have an itch for Indian food this is your place. It's not the best I've ever had, but it is quick and it does hit the spot. Tried Curry in a Hurry because I LOVE Indian food! Unfortunately, they did not deliver on the hype I had been hearing. It took a little too long to receive our food through the drive through (did not Hurry as implied). Once we got back to the the office I was extremely glad I got the larger portion because even that size was too small of a portion for the price. After talking up Indian food to a co-worker, the bland food did nothing to get him to love it as much as me. The biggest let downs were my mango lassi and Chai tea. The mango lassi was a little bitter and the Chai tea was so over spiced I couldn't drink it. As much as I love the idea of getting my beloved Indian food in a hurry, I won't be returning. I ordered the paneer, which was very under seasoned. I added lots of salt when I got home. The naan was a little soggy, like it had been sitting for awhile. This is a good option if you need Indian food fast, but I prefer the other Indian restaurants in Omaha.
