    Samosa Chaat

This is the first time I've been to their location on 72nd St. since they moved to this location.. I did not pre-order. I pulled up to the window. The service was prompt, but I was shocked at the price! I ordered one chickpea and rice bowl... Garlic naan, and one Samosa chatt.. It was over $25. There were no prices on the menu when I ordered so I was unaware... So shame on me. They brought the food but came back to tell me that the Samosa chaat did not come with mint chutney... That was extra .. When I arrived home with my food, I was hugely disappointed.. the Samosa chaat was drenched in grease.. like their fryer wasn't hot enough when they put it in... It was definitely not edible.... The mint chutney was watered down and had more of a liquid consistency than a chutney consistency... Flavorless and again very disappointed... The Chana masala had an ok flavor.. but was dry.. and I find it interesting that all the other bowls come with non-... However, I paid $5 for a side of garlic naan..and no mention of the naan that came with the bowls.. Overall... Big disappointment. There are so many great choices out there in Omaha...I wanted to support them, but it's going to be hard to come back.

Service was friendly and quick. Within a minute or possibly two, the cashier brought our meals to the counter where we had seated ourselves. We got a Butter Chicken Curry bowl and a Chicken Tikka Masala Curry which came with Koftas. Both meals were delicious, although the food could have been a bit more hot in temperature (but the spice level was fine). Restaurant was clean and well-ordered. Portion sizes were good; but prices were higher than I had expected for a "fast-food" place.

Good food, fast and friendly! A family favorite. They have added some new menu items including saag paneer, very tasty! I also love the samosa chaat. My family's favorite is the butter chicken. I usually get carryout; the portions are large, we get a few meals and there is plenty of food for everyone. It's very clean and well-decorated. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. This restaurant was a huge comfort to us during quarantine; it feels like home.

Our first introduction to Curry in a Hurry was soon after they first opened. An Indian restaurant with a drive through?? Genius. And when we first tried the drive through, it was glorious. The naan was delicious, the sauce and protein were together in a little plastic cup getting all marinated, and the fluffy rice was in a separate container (to keep everything fresh, to put it all together at home). Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a little different from the fabulous first time. I ordered the Butter Chicken, which was very saucy and tasty last time. This time, though, it was all in one container. The meat and sauce on top of the rice, and not as much of the sauce as before, either - making it all a little bit dry and tasteless without the right amount of sauce. The chicken chunks were also pretty large, making the insides of each piece pretty dry too. I love Butter Chicken, so I still ate it obviously, but knew that it had been better the first time, which was disappointing. I will for sure be back to give them another chance, since my first visit was wonderful, and this may have just been an off night.

I love this is a drive through. The man in the drive through window was so kind. The food has good flavor. And good portions. My only complaint, the food never seems to be hot. Warm, but not hot in temp. This won't keep me from coming back though. Can't wait to try something new

Gave this another shot and had a better experience than last time. I got the combo meal which was actually good potion of two entrees with rice bread and kofta. The tikka masala wasn't as spicy this time around and it was overall pretty good. I tried the masala eggs again which were good and Malabar Parotta which was unique and new to me. I enjoyed it. I also tried the Bombay tea and it was... awful. I'm sorry but I had to throw the tea away. Overall though, slightly better experience than I had last time I tried it and can be decent for a quick fix of Indian.

Finally made it to this simple and tasty Indian restaurant on Maple St. Of note: zero styrofoam was used in my order, which was placed at the drive-up window, hooray! The menu board offers clear information about what to expect with each rice bowl, and what I received was as listed. My paneer was delicious! The green chutney was delightfully balanced and now I wish I had a jar at home to serve with everything. I added samosas and will do this every time going forward. You can expect food to be ready quickly, as promised

I was so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! It's so cool to see a fast food place serving Indian comfort food. The quality and prices were top notch. I ordered online and was able to pick up at the drive thru, so I didn't see inside the store. Will update for my next visit. My order took a little longer than it said it would be ready, maybe 5-10 minutes. Overall I'll definitely be back for more, I'm hooked!

So I went back to curry in a hurry yesterday, Friday for lunch and it was my third time there. This time I did receive a chicken tikka marsala bowl/combo which was very good and could've been a little bit spicier. This was probably my best meal here as the first time I believe I rated it a three out of five and the second time I don't believe I rated it but I got the vindaloo ..I believe is what it's called and it was super spicy. The female worker came to my table yesterday and talk to me for a couple minutes and did mention that you could ask to get your bowl less spicy or more spicy if you want, just to let them know. She was very pleasant and again the food was very good today so I was very happy and will certainly go back again sometime. If you like Indian food I believe this place is a must try as they are quick and the food is pretty decent.

I recently went for their lunch buffet and it was very good! The selection was quite small but everything I tasted I enjoyed. The service was great; they were quick to serve and always kept us you filled with warm, soft naan that was actually the highlight of my experience. All in all, if you want a homey little spot in the wall for Indian food, give them a try

    Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl

Just tried Curry in a Hurry again-- chicken in the chicken tikka bowl was so tender. Employees were very accommodating and friendly-- which I know they're known for at this point. Quality for price is very competitive. Will be back!

It was a Thursday evening and not very busy. Only two other tables when we were there which really surprised me after tasting the food. They started out with the complimentary papadam with two different sauces a mint chutney and a brown sauce not sure what it is but both great. We started off with the naan bread basket and an another garlic cheese naan definitely didn't need more than the bread basket was a very large portion to split. All were very tasty the garlic was my favorite. I had the Karnali combo biryani which was awesome had the right heat I asked for spice wise and good amount of all the different meats. My wife got the mango masala which she really enjoyed and isn't always the biggest Indian food fan but she ate hers and ate the leftovers the next day as well. My aunt had chicken korma which she raved about as well. My mother tried the malai kofta she had only tried Indian food once many years ago and this experience confirmed she's not a fan and has a bad taste palette haha. I really enjoyed this dish as well and was happy to have the leftovers the next couple days. We ordered her some chicken tenders from the kids menu but those also had some seasonings more cumin I'd say and others that she didn't enjoy but our 14 month old really enjoyed. So if you have a very picky eater maybe go with one of the other kids options. The white creamy sauce that came with my biryani was also bursting with flavor and had a great cooling sensation. The man who served our table was very friendly and even played peek a boo with our baby from the register area. Place had a nice vibe and was very clean bathrooms included. Definitely will be back and you should go check out this spot!

I was seriously craving Indian food while visiting Omaha during Memorial Day weekend, and luckily,…read moreKarnali was the only Indian restaurant open nearby that day. We reached the restaurant around 3:30 - 4 PM for a late lunch, and there were a few people dining inside. The restaurant was very clean, the tables were well arranged, and the Indian music playing in the background gave the place a nice cozy vibe. We started with the tandoori chicken and then ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, and two chais for the main meal. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, but it was different from the typical restaurant-style tandoori chicken. It tasted more homemade with regular spices, without the bright red color or smoky restaurant flavor. Still, it was really good. The best part of the meal was actually the sauce served with the chicken. It tasted like a spicy tomato-onion gravy, almost similar to butter chicken sauce, and honestly, I wish the butter chicken we took later had been cooked in that same sauce because it was delicious. The butter chicken was tasty overall - rich and creamy, though the garlic naan could have been better. The naan felt a little too dry and could have used more butter. The chai at the end was ok because it had a bit too much spice and tasted more milky than tea. The service was decent as well. The server was friendly, but while taking our order he wasn't writing anything down and had to ask us to repeat a few things, so that was a little awkward. The food arrived in about 10 minutes, which was pretty quick. One thing to note is that we had to place the chai order along with the food because the server mentioned it takes around 15 minutes or more to prepare. I did feel that the pricing was slightly higher compared to the quality and portion sizes. The tandoori chicken was around $17 ,the butter chicken was about $19 and the Naans $4 each and chais were around $4 each, so the total came close to $55 + w tax or more. Personally, I don't think the food completely matched the pricing and was mediocre. Overall, I had a decent experience and really appreciate that they were open on Memorial Day because they definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. I would definitely recommend trying the tandoori chicken appetizer, especially with the sauce they serve alongside it. I would give the restaurant a solid 3 out of 5 stars.

I understand it was a busy night, and I always try to be patient and respectful of staff. We were dining with our young kids (ages 4 and 5), and when their fries came out, there was no ketchup. We politely asked for some, and the waiter brought a single tiny portion for both kids. As any parent knows, each child needs their own, so I kindly asked for another...saying "please" and "thank you." From that point on, the waiter's attitude noticeably shifted. When our food arrived, I began to ask if I could get chili peppers on the side. Before I could even finish my sentence, the server-- who I believe is the owner -- cut me off mid-request and said, "I can't get you anything else, we are too busy," and walked away. He didn't let me finish speaking, didn't offer to come back, and didn't acknowledge the request at all. When he returned later, I calmly explained that I understood they were busy, but asked why he had been so dismissive and cut me off. His response was that he didn't have time to talk--and again, he walked away without addressing anything I needed. I chose not to escalate the situation because we were with family and I didn't want to disrupt the evening for others. But I felt completely disrespected. The interaction felt dismissive and condescending, and as a woman, it came across as being talked down to in a way that was unacceptable. What's most disappointing is that this was my third visit. I had returned because the food is good. But after this experience, I won't be coming back. Spending nearly $100 on a meal only to be treated this way is not something I can justify, and I cannot support a business where customers are treated so poorly

The menu is extensive, especially for a vegetarian who is accustomed to slim pickings. The vibe is friendly and low key, you don't need to get dressed up here, come as you are. The service was super sweet and attentive throughout our visit. She provided us with included samples of this delicious mango pudding dessert that BLEW my mind - truly. So sweet, creamy, and bright! For my meal, I gave the malai kafta a try, which is one of my go - to choices at Indian restaurants, so I have a strong basis to judge.. and Percy's knocked it out of the park! The veggie balls were soft and smooth when cut open, but firm enough to not fall apart in the sauce. The flavors present were so incredibly warm and rich that I could have simply eaten it like soup! I personally ordered a 4 in spice on their 10 scale, and could have handled a 5 in terms of spice, but staying at a 4 keeps your nose from running! The naan options are super fun, and you can select from plain, cheesy, garlic, and more! I personally went with the cheese naan and it was so full that it was almost like a quesadilla ! That is super rare in my experiences, and I was pleasantly surprised by the heftiness of this naan. Each order is 4 pieces for only a few bucks. My companion ordered an appetizer as a meal, and said they also could have gone spicier - so the lesson here may be to trust your spice tolerance and go just one more notch above what you think you can handle! The creaminess and balance of spices allows everything to melt together rather than be overpowered by one element. I'll definitely be returning to Percys and hope you give it a try! I'll need to order a full order of the mango dessert next time :)

We picked Chicken 65 Biryani, Lamb Korma, and Butter Chicken, all medium spicy. Bullet Cheese Naan and Garlic Cheese Naan. The Naan is good bullet has a kick, but not overbearing. Garlic is as good as I expected to be. The surprise was the Cheese, not certain the type but melts like mozzarella, more than I expected. Also picked up some raitha, salan, and peanut chutney to dip naan. The main dishes were flavorful, medium spice let's you know it's there, but that's about it. I will need to get it Spicy level next time. All in all everything is delicious and will be back.
