Probably our top meal in London. Before I talk about the food, I want to highlight excellent…read moreservice. One of our group has a tomato allergy and we weren't sure how much of a selection he would have. The waitress went back and redlined the menu to show what he could have, what he couldn't, and what they might be able to alter. Super nice and it didn't take more than a few minutes. As for the food, a-maz-ing Indian. I recommend their prawn special - not too spicy but very flavor forward. The naan was a nice side to order as well. This location is fairly big with seating on the main floor, downstairs, and outside in a cover lounge area. We had a reservation, although they probably could have handled us if we didn't. That said, it was a busy weekend and the place looked fairly full by the time we left, so maybe grab a reservation. Enjoy!

Everyone I know who visits London comes home raving about this place, so even though I'd never had…read moreIndian food before, I had to see what the hype was about. The restaurant is much bigger than it looks, with a front patio, a bar, and multiple dining rooms. It was completely packed. After 6 p.m. it's walk-in only, and the hostess gives you a buzzer while you wait. I started with the house chai, which was warm and perfectly spiced. For dinner I ordered the Chicken Ruby, basmati rice, garlic naan, and crispy okra fries. Now I get the hype. The Chicken Ruby was rich, spicy, and packed with flavor, the naan was perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce, and the okra fries were so crunchy I couldn't stop eating them. This place absolutely lived up to its reputation. They also serve breakfast, and there's so much on the menu that I already plan to come back a few more times before I leave London.

After going down a Reddit hole determined to find a less touristy Indian restaurant, I was so glad…read moreto have come across this place. The service was amazing. As soon as you walk in, they offer to hang your coat. The young lady who was our server for the evening gave us the best recommendations--I wish I knew her name. She was so patient with our many questions and didn't steer us wrong. My friends and I started with the wings as an appetizer. They had the perfect amount of grill flavor and were very saucy and well seasoned. There was no classy way to eat them--they were that good. For our entrées, we ordered the goat shoulder and the half rack of lamb chops. The half rack is more than enough for one person, especially with naan and rice. The reviewers were not lying when they said you must try the lamb chops. They came out sizzling, and we laughed because it took us back to dining at Chili's (iykyk). Perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. The same goes for the goat shoulder. This was my first time trying it, and I was very impressed with how good it tasted. While I'm not usually a dessert person, you must try the carrot pastry. Think of it like a McDonald's apple pie (the old-school one), but with warm carrot filling on the inside and a sprinkle of pistachio on the outside--just 10x better. Everything here tasted spectacular, including the chili naan. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

We had a lot of great food in London contrary to what some misguided tourists might say! But though…read moremuch of the standard British pub food and such was fantastic, and there's no shortage of varied global cuisine to be found in the city, our overall favorite meal of the trip was here at Brigadiers which might be the best Indian food we've ever had. A nice but welcoming interior with great decor and top-notch service. An extensive drink menu, private meeting spaces, and an expansive but focused menu. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection with the proper amount of spice and heat. I'd point out specific dishes but I have a feeling everything on the menu lives up to what we ordered. I particularly liked the mixed greens + beef and bone marrow. But you can't go wrong.

Service was also fantastic! I noticed they're super intentional about allergies and brought out an entire tablet for my friend to cross-reference with the menu.

We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.
