[NOTE: This review applies to sales only; I haven't yet tried their service department.] I came to Curry because I had just had a REALLY bad sales experience with another Toyota dealer nearer to me. The experience here compared to the other dealership was like night and day. Chris McC. treated me like an intelligent adult, was completely transparent every step of the way, and he worked his tail off to find me exactly what I asked for, keeping me posted regularly. He respected my price range, was very frank about whether I could do without some of the add-ons I was on the fence about, and once the pricing phase was over I actually decided to go with a new car rather than certified pre-owned (I had come in asking for the latter). We were able to keep the price reasonable enough that I was able to go with a new car, and I was satisfied in the end that the decision to buy new was mine entirely and not part of a sneaky upsell on his part. Curry was a breath of fresh air, where they treated me like a grown-up instead of a mark. Plus, the car is gorgeous and runs like a Swiss watch (I'm getting lots of compliments). I wanted to trade Honda Civic towards a new camry. They gave me an excellent price. I waited 3 months for the camry to arrive. During that time i drove my honda 1200 miles. Also the car was garaged the whole time. When i went to pick up my new car they decreased my trade in value by $2200. They said the car depreciation over 3 months was $750. Kelly blue book said the depreciation was $300. They also said there was much more damage to the car than at the initial assessment. I told them nothing had changed and defects present were there when they first looked at the car. They said i could either take the new car and pay $1800 more than the agreed upon contract or wall away. A CLEAR CASE OF BAIT AND SWITCH! I will never deal with them again! read more

Wish I could give Zero stars. Avoid at all costs. Sales manager John Contreras was a total bully. Went in to lease a car and the price kept changing by the hour. When I showed him his math wasn't clean, he started gaslighting me and telling me, I just didn't understand the numbers. When I suggested there were hidden charges, he went ballistic. The numbers changed so many times, I took to taking photos of the deal sheet so I could check the numbers (they never added up) . Finally I brought in my computer to show him his math didn't add up. When I tried to take the deal sheet from him to show the manager he literally snatched it from my hands and ripped it into little pieces. I complained to the manager who gave me yet another set of numbers...It was an horrific experience. I decided not to buy the car and took my business to another dealership in Manhattan. Experience was like night and day...it was a quick clean transaction with transparent numbers and no stress. I've had about 10 years of experience coming here both for service and to look for a car. We've had RAV4s since 2010 and love them. In the past we only purchased them in Kingston, though, because we had a good relationship with one of the sales professionals there who always gave us a great deal and made the process quick and painless. Unfortunately, he retired and we've been searching for someone new, with no luck, until TODAY! Originally, we were hesitant to come in, because of our negative experiences in the past 2 weeks visiting other dealers, but they promised not to take up too much time and we decided to try one last time. So glad we did! George was a pleasure to deal with. We told him exactly what we were looking for and what we've been through and he was so helpful and so professional. I was thrilled! Everyone there was so friendly and the showroom has been updated since the last time I was there. It looks wonderful. So happy that we found what we were looking for at a great price and with great people. I wish my experience was a good one...I had gone to the dealership to buy a new car/ new to me vehicle due to my old car was a total loss. Originally, I tried to do everything on line, but was told that the car advertised wouldn't be received for another three weeks...and every other option on their website even filtering for in stock options, the sales person kept saying we will receive that in two weeks. I then opted to go in person and physically see what was in stock...found the car I wanted, took it for a test drive and was eager to close the deal. That's when the shenanigans began... Although the car had a placard that said it was a 2022 and only had 11k miles on it, it turned out that it was a 2021 and had 22k miles on it!!! Even looking past this, after getting my down payment, they had me waiting over three hours just to see the finance guy...Oh did I mention I was there at 9:00am to start this process?? After finally getting in to see the finance guy after being in the dealership for 6 hours at this point...they offered me a interest rate of almost 9%! This in spite of me having a 782 credit score and a substantial down payment... They did a good job of wearing me down physically and emotionally so I would just want to get out of there under any condition... This was the worst buying experience I've ever had in all of my years of being a driver....not that they weren't polite and respectful, it was the bait and switch plus massive delays....and they still haven't responded about the missing key and cargo cover... read more

I have been a long time customer, seven cars over the years from Curry. Went to look to purchase a new Toyota. I took advantage of the online trade in value they have on their website. I arrive at the dealer and I know the vehicle I want. When start to talking price and trade in the salesman offers me $15,000 for my vehicle, by the way their website a valued between $17,100 - $20,000. I explained again about the online offer. He comes back to me with a offer of $16,000. I then leave the dealer. A few days later I get a call from them to come back in, so I did, big mistake. They now are offering me $17,500 but the vehicle I wanted was sold. I again left. Now for round three. Another call and I go look at another vehicle, I actually liked and was going to buy it. The manager comes over and says let me have the keys to your vehicle so I can verify your mileage, I agree. He comes back and says I have bad news, the trade in is only $16,500. He reason was if they are going to sell in on the lot they will need to put $2000 into it for tires and brakes. Both fairly new. Have you ever seen an 11 year old vehicle being sold at a dealership? I again leave. Another day goes by and I get a call from the salesman asking what happened. He told me the wholesalers would only give them $16,500 for the vehicle. So now I have two totally different stores. I walked away from Curry for good. Do yourself a favor and go to DCH Toyota in Wappingers. Within one hour we had a deal and I picked up the car two days later. The best part about this is I used to work in car dealers so I know the tricks and fibs they tell. read more

Normally I have my vehicles serviced by a local mechanic shop, with whom I have a really great and trusting relationship. But I had to have some recall work done, so this time I had to go to a dealership. I'm assuming they performed the recall work, but I can't really tell. They also indicated it needed some other work (don't they always?) so I had it done. Fast forward a couple of weeks. There are now literally parts FALLING OFF the vehicle. And to make matters worse, they're calling me on the phone and telling me that they should have charged me more money, and they want me to make up the difference. Never going back. read more

I took my vehicle to Curry Toyota for scheduled maintenance over the weekend. The facilities were clean with ample seating while you wait. I was promised that I would be out in 1.5 hours. Roughly an hour and a half later I see my car lining up so the advisor could cash me out repairs completed. . MOST IMPORTANT NO HIGH PRESSURE ATTEMPTS AT UN NEEDED REPAIRS OR PREPAID MAINTENANCE. The issue was resolved after many phone calls to various people and the Toyota representative got involved. I had to bring the vehicle in for a full day to have the repair competed and paid for by the dealership. It was apprx. a $1,200 repair and I do appreciate them finally agreeing to take care of it. My earlier review is not posted so some background. I purchased a 2009 Highlander in July 2017, 102,000 miles, they sold this vehicle new and then 3 years later and did most of the maintenance. The next morning after driving home the check engine light went on. I paid a Toyota dealer near me to diagnos it and it was the cat into the manifold. Whoever turned it in must have know this and the code was cleared for purchase and for me to drive home. These codes just done come up and go away. The assistant sales manager at the time was very very rude and wanted me to go away. The GM was more willing to see what could be done but over 100,000 there is no warranty in NYS. Toyota is a strong brand and I did need to reachout to social media to get attention to my matter and it took about 9 months to resolve with them paying for it. read more

From the salesmen, or in THESE times, salesPERSONS lol to the Accounting, service/parts, and the drivers in the shuttle service ALL are conscientious and professional in their varied job descriptions. I'm in the service department with my recently financed lease with over 84,000 miles hanging with Rick Nozall, Remo D'Ninja, and Kris Kampf and learning that the radio in the car is out dated and doesn't have the "HD" feature so NO MUSIC FOR YOU! But I digress. From the start, expectations set fall slightly short of being a full promotor/possible detractor. Why? Because at 45,000 miles into lease with over a year left in terms I knew I would be over miles. That's not the sting. The sting is that I found out after the fact that there WAS. A lease not made visible to me that would have covered me for terms. I did, however, bought into every possible warranty and extension which keeps the car I leased (2015 Toyota RAV4) sound and in excellent shape. So the take away from my overall experience is that I have become a part of the freaks and proudly promote the dealership as a top contender for mediocrity, ultra friendly knowledgeable service team (the dealership's one and only saving grace), and the NEW GUY! I typically never send out a review like this, but I have had the WORST customer service experience with Curry Toyota in Mohegan Lake, NY. I ordered a Highlander Hybrid on 1/28 and was told it would take about 3-4 months to get in which I was completely fine with. My original salesman left, and I received a call in April about a highlander but not what I had ordered and never received a call back when I inquired about the one I requested so I waited a bit more and continued calling looking for someone that could help provide me with any sort of insight to help me figure out what I needed to do with my lease. I extended it for 3 months and it was up 6/17. NO HELP, NO RESPONSES! I finally received a call back from a sales manager that committed to keeping me updated regardless of status so that I knew next steps for my lease. I was hopeful that I would hear back or at the very least receive an email. I know that the supply chain is difficult to predict so I was not looking for exact dates but was hoping for a response. I am in supply chain and am empathetic to the situation. All I was looking for was a freaking update whether it was a call, text or email. NOTHING!! Not even from a sales manager! SO UNACCEPTABLE. My husband is a loyal customer for almost the last 10 years and I thought I would purchase from them too. After my inquiries and no call back, I spoke to another salesperson that pretty much said they would not be receiving anymore and that I should consider the Grand highlander. Had someone had the nerve to call me back and tell me this before 5 1/2 months, I would have happily considered it but the fact that they had no intention of every following up with me has made this the worst experience I have ever had! I asked for my deposit to be refunded and called Mount Kisco Toyota (Rivera toyota, NY) and worked with Kelly Raman who was AMAZING and super helpful. She gave me other options and I will be picking up my new Gas Highlander this evening. I will NEVER EVER go back to Curry after this. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating a loyal customer and potential new customer. They have now lost both of our businesses. Just atrocious! We recently purchased a 2019 Toyota Highlander ,33.000 dollars later, and when we got home the right front bumper came loose, obviously we called them and they told us to bring the car in the next day and so we did..... service mgr, forgot his name, told us there is a 300 bucks to fix it !!!! I was very happy with the dealer as well as the service.....until I found out that the finance manager sent my credit report from one bank to another to another, until I was approved, but I was never approved so I left Curry with no car AND a bad credit score! I had a terrible experience with this dealership. I was buying a New Prius Prime XLE 2021. The sales rep quoted me a low price on the car by offering more rebates to me then other dealerships. I got to the Curry Toyota a 2nd sales rep confirmed this and had his manager approve it and had me sign all the paper work. After I leave the dealership the finance manager calls to tell me the rebates do not apply. The next day no one returns a phone call, I call in dozens of times to get the run around with everyone saying it not my fault and they can't do anything and want to continue at the higher price. The only reason they were able to quote me a lower price is with bogus rebates to get me in the door then try to take it away when I'm not eligible for it. read more

Michelle their receptionist confirmed they had the truck I wanted and set me up with Sales Consultant, Bill Hessler. He was a wealth of knowledge and a real expert on the Tacoma. Sales Managers, John Carbone and John Contreras were professional and worked with me to present a fair deal with no pressure. All we needed from this dealership was to get two keys reprogrammed. Here's what we got: - a 30-minute wait in line even though we had an appointment - an insanely rude salesman who barked orders at us. When we asked him to stop being so rude, he said he'd get someone else to help us and never did, so we stood in the long line for a second time to wait for a different person -- making it over an hour just to drop off the car - an inspection that we didn't want or ask for, which resulted in an estimate for $700 of unnecessary work - a phone call about the status of the car that couldn't be returned because, according to dealership, the phones in the service area were "broken" (?) - a call from someone else at Toyota who said the car was old and in bad shape, offering to "do us a favor" and buy it from us - a bill of $850 for the pleasure of this whole experience. Curry Toyota is horrible. I am a repeat customer and went to buy another car. Salesperson was great, but once the manager go involved he was very unprofessional and rude. Well not only did they loose a sale they lost family business moving forward. Nobody in my family or extended family will shop their again. I rather take the bus. And one of the cars that they sold us could have killed us and when we took it back after 14 days to have it repaired under the warranty, they fought with us to pay the bill. Which in the end was on them and they had to cover it or take the car back, which I was about to give it back and get my money back. They are the worst dealership I have dealt with. read more

They are always on time and ready for me at my appointments. Every advisor I have had here has been super friendly and courteous. They even made sure that I got all 4 free synthetic oil changes within the required time frame. Never overcharged or pressured to do unnecessary work- I think I appreciate this most. read more

Run, don't walk, away. I placed an "express" order, confirmed on web site and with a deal sheet and OTD price with specific VIN and uploaded sensitive personal information. Then was told, alternatively oh, no, they don't have it and it's a "glitch" and there are 12 orders for the same car, or it's "Roadster" or other BS. The web site is clearly from Curry Toyota. Total deceptive and false advertising and now this dealer has all my info. When you by something online you expect to be available, and if not, it should be clearly stated what the lead time is, or if you are not getting the specific model, etc. Manager says "well buying a car is different, it's not like buying 10 cases of water". But soon, it will be - people will just buy from the manufacturer because of business practices like this. Right now dealer is taking advantage of people with a very short-term mindset. read more

The service at Curry has become very bad in the past few years and I'm not sure if they are incompetent or just don't care about their customers. My Corolla has an airbag recall for which we've been receiving notices for the last couple of years. Each time I call for an appointment they tell me the parts are not available in the northeast. Toyota is doing the repairs on cars in hot humid climates first because they are more at risk. Okay so we wait. Recently we've started getting phone calls from the Toyota recall services department telling us that it's important to make an appointment NOW to have the airbag recall done. So we call Curry for an appointment. They have the parts and we get an appointment. Drop the car off for the whole day. When we go to pick up the car we're told sorry we couldn't do the airbag replacement. There is a 'stop' work order on the airbags. This apparently must have happened as our car rolled onto the lot since they didn't know about it when we dropped the car off. Unbelievable. Around 2 days later we get ANOTHER phone call from the recall service department saying you must bring your car in for this service. I explain to the agent what happened and she tells me ( this is absolutely true!) that she never heard of such a stop work order for the airbags. And she is in the recall department. She speaks to the dealership who tells her it's ok now, we can fix the car now. Apparently the stop work order was only in effect while my car was there. ( I'm joking but that's how it felt to me). I spoke to the service manager, Tony, who insisted that this stop work order really did happen and he's sorry but they can fix it now. Like I have another whole day to leave my car there. Curry Toyota, you look nice, but your service stinks. Sorry but you've lost a customer. read more

I'm getting letters from my insurance company telling me that they failed to do pictures To my insurance company 8 months ago. Now if I don't get these pictures done I'm going to have a problem. This is the worst experience I've ever had buying a car after (4 purchases from different dealerships). Without sounding like this is a bias review, I'll only leave the facts so you have an idea of what you're to expect. I went to the dealership after speaking with their online department, the woman I spoke with was extremely pleasant and quick to have me come into the dealership to speak with one of their salesman. My time with the salesman was pleasant, he tried to accommodate me the best he could and I ended up with a fair price. I wasn't looking for the BEST price, but just something fair. I placed a deposit and then we set a time to meet a few days later to pick up the vehicle. The day I came to pick it up, I sat around for over FOUR hours waiting for the finance department to get their stuff squared away while looking at my car in their bay. This is after applying for credit through them and leaving a deposit days before. (We just bought a new car last week and were in and out within an hour from a different dealership after selecting a pickup day) To sit there and wait for 4 hours to leave with my new car was ridiculous. The gentleman before me was waiting for his vehicle for an even LONGER amount of time. OK, no worries. I'm leaving with my brand new car and am VERY happy with my purchase! A few days later, I receive a call from the finance department stating that the $1000 military rebate the manager offered me was incorrect and that it was actually $500. The finance manager then asked me how I would like to pay back the $500 error. (Yes, I served, no one owes me anything but to offer something and then renege on it leaves a bad taste in my mouth) Also, I'm not sure how financing works but I have excellent credit (800+) and was told that I qualified for an extremely high rate of over 5%. I called Toyota Financial a few days later and saw that it was lowered by almost a full percent. Not sure why this was done, but is it possible that Toyota Financial places a limit on how high you can charge someone's APR based on credit? Possibly. I don't know this and can not attest to anything but knowing what I know now about this dealership, I wouldn't put it past them to make my own and worst assumptions. My own financing through NAVY Federal Credit Union was around 3% but I went with Toyota because they said I would NOT qualify for the MILITARY discount if I did not finance through them. Is this true? I spoke to a lot of my buddies and they mentioned that when they buy new cars, they get a military discount whether or not they finance through the dealer. I was missing a key that the dealership may have misplaced. They assured me that I would receive a new one. I made an appointment to have a new key made, I went to Curry and the service department told me that there was no appointment with the service department and to see the sales department. When I spoke to sales, they mentioned that the key guy had mechanical issues and that I would have to return. I took a day off from work to get a new key and they could not get it done and had to drive quite a distance plus tolls. I came back a week later to have a new key programmed and noticed that they outsource their key programming instead of going through Toyota. The key is likely a genuine part, but the programming is likely though a third party. That's no biggie. The physical key to unlock my car was NOT cut and it was blank. I contacted my salesman and he sent me a new key. That's great. They fixed the problem BUT I had to do my own due diligence in order to get what I needed. Would I buy from this dealership again? Not a snowball's chance in hell. read more

After buying my Ford from Curry Ford. and after a horrible experience with their service department, I started taking my SUV to another dealership for service. I then needed a commuter car for work and decided to buy a Hyundai. Curry Hyundai had a good price for a car on the lot and they swore to me how great this location's service department was compared to their Ford dealership. So I bought another car from them. Stupid me....They started out ok and went progressively down hill. This weekend I dropped my car off Friday night for a Saturday oil change. They always call when my car is ready. I realized by late afternoon they had never called and I called them. They told me their service department had already left and to call Sunday morning. I called Sunday morning and the girl who answered the phone kept putting me repeatedly through to the service department but never came back to the line, she just kept reconnecting. They never answered. This is a constant problem with them. If you need to speak to someone no one ever answers the line and the receptionist never comes back on the line. You have to keep calling back, you can be on hold for half and hour easily each call. I called back and she kept connecting me to different departments and wouldn't come back on the line. By my 5th try, I freaked out and said I want the Manager..once again, back on hold...only to be disconnected.. After about 10-12 calls I finally got someone who I told to put my keys in the car and have it in the lot because I am coming to get it..If the keys aren't in the car I would come into the showroom and make a scene. He said ok and I hung up. \ I get to the dealership ...and no keys..I walk into service only to get some wiseass kid in service telling me they did call me at 11:22am and they left a message..I said no one called my house and he said why dont you go home and check your answering machine!!! I also stated I stopped using their Ford dealership because of their service department and his snotty answer was their Ford dealership went out of business. They also had my car listed under the wrong name on the paperwork and couldn't find my keys. Long story short, they are snotty, unresponsive to problems, and ridiculously difficult to get on the phone..Stay away from all Curry locations at all costs!!!! read more

Incompetent or dishonest? First we were introduced to Jose and within a few minutes shifted off to Mickey Gary, who confused us when we thought we had a deal for a Corrolla LE, and he said something about the Corrolla S. I think Mickey Gary was the only nice person in our experience, but I don't understand what he was saying abou the S. When I got upset, Lee came over and assured us we had the deal for the LE. We specifically asked that all financial information be presented before we signed any contracts. The real problem is Anthony Zullo who tried to bully us in to taking a non-Toyota extended warranty by first refusing to let us finish the phone call to our insurance company, without which we would be unable to buy the car. Zullo insisted on talking while we were on the phone because he had no intention of staying past 6:00. We walked in there at 1:00 and should have been out of there hours earlier, The car was never shown to us nor were we allowed to test drive it until after we signed the lease agreement. Zullo then told us that if the car showed any sign of wear during the 36 months, we would pay high fees and we'd better plan to get a garage or cover for the vehicle. I walked out and Lee came in to try to convince us to buy that warranty. We stuck to our guns. I don't know what happened to Mickey Gary during this time, but when I saw him again, he was talking to other potential purchasers, leaving us at the mercy of Zullo who then injected himself into our private conversation saying that he was going to call the police and have us escorted out of there. We assume he was angry that we did not buy his product - but he started by telling us all that matter to him was him. If we could have found Mickey Gary, we would have torn up the contract and told the credit card company to cancel, since we were not being sold what we said we wanted. When we finally saw the car, of course there is something wrong with the passenger side door handle. We still had not sat in the car. Mickey Gary filled out paperwork, we took photos. We at that point had paid the money, it was 7:30 PM. We have gone out of our way to document this condition and hope that Toyota does not intend to charge us money for damage before we ever saw the car. We still cannot figure out why we could not test drive the car we utlimately went home with and why people kept changing the deal. This dealer is full of liars and thieves I bought a used vehicle from them after purchasing the vehicle they took it through the car wash and clean the car. This is about 1 PM. They parked the car in such away which I could not see the passenger side of the vehicle. Time passed. It ended up being about fiveOr 6 PM when they finally said here the keys. I was in such a rush I took the keys and left. When I got home it turns out the whole right side of the van had a big dent in it and scratched all over from them taking it through the car wash they Musta hit the corner of the building.
