We had our Toyota Sienna repaired at Curry Honda's body shop after being rear-ended. The overall…read moreexperience was frustrating and poorly handled. The repair took weeks longer than originally quoted, which caused us to incur additional out-of-pocket rental car expenses. Communication during the extended delay was limited, and no accommodation was offered for the additional costs. When we picked up the vehicle, we discovered that over 70 miles had been added during the repair process. We requested documentation accounting for this mileage but were not provided any written records--only verbal explanations. Additionally, the body shop performed a New York State inspection without our authorization and then refused to release the vehicle unless we paid for it. While the cost was only $10, the issue was the principle: the inspection was never requested or approved. When this was raised, the body shop manager stated that a refund would be issued only if we returned so the inspection sticker could be scraped off the windshield, which felt unnecessary and dismissive. Even if the inspection was well-intended, making unilateral decisions about additional services and holding a customer's vehicle until payment is made is not appropriate. Based on this experience, I would encourage others to ask very clear questions in advance about timelines, mileage, and authorization for any additional work.

When he heard this was the car I wanted, the salesman got excited about it and put a sign on it with my name. I cannot express enough how much I loved this car and was looking forward to purchasing it. When we got to the dealer, everything seemed to be going well, but the new owner kept lurking around the desk we were at and it was very uncomfortable and annoying. He came over at one point and suggested we purchase or lease a new car I said I'd look at the numbers, but we knew we were there for "my" car that we came for. We expressed no interest in the new car. At that point, we started getting excuses about why I couldn't bring it home that day. My insurance company was closed. The inspections had not been done. We forgot our old registration to switch plates. One of the excuses was about the car itself, which we learned later was a lie, because we called another dealer about it. We realized it wasn't coming home this day. Oddly, they did not want a deposit or down payment. After sitting at the desk alone for quite awhile, the salesman said we were done for the day and dismissed us immediately. No handshake, no walk out. We were completely confused. We waited two days and no phone call. My husband called to talk to the salesman, but he was " not available". The finance guy called back and again tried to convince us to purchase or lease a new vehicle. Then I tried to call the salesman, but he had "stepped out". No one called me back until the following night and by then I was so fed up and disgusted that I ignored the call. I have no idea why they wouldn't sell me the car. Maybe bait and switch, hard selling the new cars. Regardless, we were left confused and angry. The lack of professionalism and communication was astounding. We purchased a car from another dealer, but it was not the same as the one we wanted so badly. We never even received an apology.

On top of that, the 2026 model came with the highest upfront discount before any additional rebates were applied, which made the deal even more impressive. My car's Inspection went smoothly, my only opinion about this dealership compared to other dealerships is that they DO NOT offer any snacks like cookies and chips to go along with the coffee/tea they offer - and please don't blame it on COVID, that is over. One thing about this place is it can never compare to the dealerships that are in South Florida where they offer snacks and a free car wash to all their customers. All and all, this dealership is fine and ask for David Kenneson the Service Advisor because he appears to be honest and very professional / personable.

The experience here compared to the other dealership was like night and day. Chris McC. treated me like an intelligent adult, was completely transparent every step of the way, and he worked his tail off to find me exactly what I asked for, keeping me posted regularly. He respected my price range, was very frank about whether I could do without some of the add-ons I was on the fence about, and once the pricing phase was over I actually decided to go with a new car rather than certified pre-owned (I had come in asking for the latter). We were able to keep the price reasonable enough that I was able to go with a new car, and I was satisfied in the end that the decision to buy new was mine entirely and not part of a sneaky upsell on his part. Curry was a breath of fresh air, where they treated me like a grown-up instead of a mark. Plus, the car is gorgeous and runs like a Swiss watch (I'm getting lots of compliments). Thanks, folks.

When I tried to take the deal sheet from him to show the manager he literally snatched it from my hands and ripped it into little pieces. I complained to the manager who gave me yet another set of numbers...It was an horrific experience. I decided not to buy the car and took my business to another dealership in Manhattan. They have always treated…read moreus fairly when purchasing a car, and their service departments have always taken good care of us and our vehicles. Now that we will be grandparents to two little boys, we decided it was time to trade in our Civic and buy a Hyundai Tucson to give us more needed room. Our first stop was a Curry dealership, of course. After initially meeting with a salesman at Curry Hyundai whose personality didn't match our's too well, the manager, Paul, sent us to Dante, who took quite good care of us.  He was very nice and patience, as well as attentive to our wants and needs.  We had mentioned that we were interested in purchasing a Tucson hybrid. By the time we arrived at the dealership, Dante had a 2022 Tucson Hybrid SEL with a Convenience Package ready for us to test drive. He also had the foresight to have a non-hybrid 2022 Tucson SEL with a Convenience Package ready for a test drive as well, so we could compare the two vehicles. We liked the hybrid version quite a lot, but didn't want the black Tucson with black interior that we test drive. So, Dante looked at Curry's inventory and found a 2022 Tucson hybrid with a pearl white exterior and black interior, and told us this model also came with gray interior, which they might be able to get for us. Dante and Paul worked with us to agree on a price we could afford, and they offered to give us a great price for our trade-in vehicle!! There was not a lot of the usual haggling; both Dante and Paul were kind, and fair through the whole process of discussing a price. We felt like they were working WITH us, not against us! Unfortunately, the pearl white exterior/black interior Tucson hybrid wasn't on the lot at that time, and since it was a Thursday night, Dante wasn't able to show us this particular vehicle then. However, we gave him a downpayment to hold the car until we could see it ourselves in person. The next day, since Dante hadn't called about the car being on their lot to see yet, we decided to keep the two appointments we had already previously arranged: one at a Toyota dealership to test drive a Hybrid RAV4, and one at a different Hyundai dealership [that our son & daughter-in-law had recommended] to test drive a 2021 Tucson Ultimate. After having thought a lot about buying a hybrid car, we realized that this would not be the best option for our lifestyle at this time, so we ended up purchasing a 2022 Tucson with the options and colors that we love! If you're looking for a new, used, or certified car, Curry Hyundai is a great dealership to check out!! Ask for Dante and you will be treated with patience, respect, and very fairly. And manager Paul will do what it takes to make a deal with you that you are happy with and can afford!

But since no other dealer within 50 miles had the model I wanted, I decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a shot. And I am glad I did because it was a seriously excellent car buying experience! In a nutshell, we saw that MLVW (that's my abbreviation for this place) had the model and trim we wanted in the color we wanted so my husband called and said we'd like to look at it. Tiguan SEL-R Line in Avocado Green, it's beautiful. We arrived and Kevin, our sales representative, was waiting for us and had the car ready for a test drive. While we drove the car around scenic Mohegan Lake (not really that scenic...no shade to the town) he explained the features and answered questions, although after watching 432 YouTube videos about the car, we felt intimately familiar with the vehicle and the expectations we had were realized on the test drive. We got back and he took our little Audi to get a value for the trade in. You know some places that hold your car hostage and try to browbeat you into a deal? Not here....it took maybe 10-15 minutes top to get a fair offer that was close to what we would have gotten at CarMax once you figure in the tax we save on the trade-in value. We filled out the paperwork, signed some forms and agreed to come back the next day with the title to the Audi and after sending the funds to purchase the car. A fair price, great trade-in and the best part...very straightforward pricing. A few reasonable fees for registration and inspection, but none of the crazy stuff you hear about. All told, we were there for 72 minutes and that includes the extensive test drive. We had loved it so far, but still had to pick up the car. Fast forward to the next day...we sent the insurance cards and confirmed the money we sent was received and we called our man Kevin and said we'd be in at 3:30. He said that's terrific, everything is ready. We show up, signed the registration and official sale papers and then he was ready to show us our new car! Did I mention that it took all of six minutes to sign the remaining paperwork with Lou and when we walked out to the car, our plates had already been transferred? It took longer to download the VW app so you can control the car with your phone than it did to complete all the paperwork. I know this was a novel so to put it in a nutshell, this was a terrific car buying experience. We were treated fairly, there was none of those BS, time-wasting games that you hear about and we got the exact car we wanted in less time than it would take to watch a movie. I know there are some poor reviews on Yelp about this place, but from my experience, I say it's worth checking this place out.
