Came here on a cold Thursday night. They don't allow dogs indoors, so we had to eat outdoors. Did not have a fire pit either. However, the owner checked in on us towards the end of the meal and apologized for the inconvenience of having to eat outside as they had a no dogs policy. Fast Indian food, and it's pretty good! I've tried their butter chicken burrito and a Punjabi thing, can't remember the name of it. Both were quite good, service is friendly. "Fast". You order your food and within a couple of minutes they bring in out to you. This is a new Indian Restaurant located in downtown Alpharetta. There is a parking garage located less than a block from the restaurant offering free parking. The food did not disappoint. I had the Vegan plant protein bowl. It has rice cauliflower, lentils, mixed greens, pico, avocado, nuts, pickled onions and wok tossed plant protein. Very healthy and tasted awesome! This is a California based restaurant and the the third location in the Atlanta area but the outstanding service makes it feel like a family run business. If you like the Indian cuisine and good fast service this is a great choice. I can see it being a very popular lunch location or those looking for a quick but good dinner. They also offer some outside patio seating. Prices run from $7-$16 and kids 10 and under is $7.00. read more

What you need to know: Cleanest Indian spot ever, "refined" (see: clean) yet mediocre tasting Indian food, friendly service, spicy = super spicy, no masks. Been wanting to try this place for awhile now, and despite it being so far from my house, decided to stop by. Food: I got the dahi puri, butter chicken bowl, and rose mango lassi. Also ordered the chicken tikka burrito and an order of fries for my girlfriend. She loved her burrito and fries having had it before at the Decatur location. My dahi puri was actually good with great flavors, and a SUPER spicy chutney which even made my mom - a woman who would put hot sauce on a jalapeño - flinch a bit when trying it - that's how you know it's good. The butter chicken bowl was a big disappointment however. Kinda bland - with the slightest hint of some flavor, but none of those incredibly rich and deep butter and curry flavoring that you want in a butter chicken (good creamy texture though) - the chickpeas (chole) that came with it wasn't much better, but had some flavor. Rice was decent, but again, not much flavor - which is to be expected honestly since the rice is supposed to get a lot of flavor from the curries. Definitely disappointed - especially considering their name has curry in it - but I'm probably just used to more flavor since I grew up eating this food. Probably has decent flavor for the average non-Indian person. Drink: The rose mango lassi was very very rich, and had little morsels of mango in it, which was a nice treat - however I think the rose syrup may have been too much as it left my mouth and throat very dry when I was done - definitely meant to be had with water. Service: Top notch service. Lady at the counter was courteous, patient, and friendly. Price: My food would've been around $23 and I ended up paying a little over $20 for my girlfriend's burrito and fries as well - pretty pricy for me considering the quality of the food I had, but I didn't try hers so can't speak as to if it was really worth it. She seemed happy so there's that. But for $40+, I could've gotten better quality Indian food elsewhere. All in all, Curry Up Now's prices are a little extreme considering the quality of food. While it's definitely cleaner and more well presented with better service than your local family-owned Indian spots (this is a national franchise after all), I can still get Indian food that's just as good for less at the more established family-owned spots. I'll probably come back to try other things, but this won't become a go-to spot. 2 stars for cleanliness and 2 more for the service and dahi puri/spicy chutney. read more

Just wow. A colleague of mine once suggested about this for the Decatur location but couldn't visit since the pandemic broke in. After the Alpharetta location opened tried there today for the first time. The food quantity and quality was excellent. Not very fond of super spicy Indian food for which this restaurant meets my taste. Tried the kachori chat which had exact flavor and the Naughty Nun was out of the box. The customer service was great too, food was on table within 15mins as promised while ordering. Looking forward for the next visit read more

Curry Up Now is a new favorite on Mainstreet in Alpharetta. We love the Indian street food they serve at places like Chai Pani in Decatur, The Kati Roll Company in New York and of course Botiwalla in Ponce City Market. Curry Up Now is a great Indian Street Food restaurant with many tasty vegetarian and vegan options. During our first visit we tried The Naughty Naan, the Paneer Kathi Roll and Hot Balls On Ice (Gulab Jamun). Great food and very friendly people at one of the best inside and especially outside lunch and dinner locations in the greater Atlanta area. We will be back!!! read more

The food was awful. The chicken in the protein plate was gristly and tasteless and the sauce in the Tikka Masala burrito tasted like it came from a can. On top of that the person who took our order acted like they did not want to be there. I get it, a lot of people don't like their job but don't take it out on random customers. The place was empty at 6:30pm on a Thursday, the rest of the restaurants in downtown were packed, this was the only empty place I saw. We had the sexy fries which is an Indian take on poutine with sweet potato waffle fries with a curry sauce, paneer and mozzarella. It was superb! The samosa chaat was my favorite - a bowl of mini veggie samosas smothered in yogurt, herbs, fried paneer and carmelized onions. We also had some fryums and mini naan with tandoori sauce. We sat outside and the table next to us had leftover plates with food. Our table was dirty and we had to get napkins to clean it up. 1. Be mindful be mindful be mindful. This is what I wanted to say to the owner of the restaurant. There is someone playing music outside the restaurant. Then why are you competing them with the music from your speakers? What could you possibly achieve here? Neither that or this is enjoyable when you hear both of them at the same time while eating outside. It was very annoying and even mildly irritating. Chances are there is always someone playing music in the evenings. If you decide to eat there, expect this experience. 2. Oil. The amount of oil we consumed from two dishes is enough to cook our home cooked meals for 7 days. Use less oil please. The food is great. It just doesnt need to be drenched in oil. The curries, the rice all soaked in excessive oil. It just masked all the flavor. It was as if we are given the food from the bottom of the vessel where the oily food ends up. 3. The keema. It was all black. Not sure if it is burnt or if it is some other meat. It was very weird looking, tasting and smelling item. 4. Who eats fryums with oily rice, and oily curries. It was already hot outside. Everything is oily. And you are given deep fried oily fryums. Why? You can replace them with a small dessert to complete the thali experience. 5. The location, city scape, this is one sweet spot for a restaurant. Make some changes. This spot has a potential to do some serious business. Be mindful. Visit your own restaurant as a customer and think from a customer's perspective and make a few changes. Will definitely visit again and hopefully they will accommodate some changes. read more
