Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

I'd been paying for Utility Shield coverage for years in the off-chance something went awry. After making my claim, I knew I was at the mercy of whomever they sent. Fortunately, it was Gordon Plumbing. The initial plumber who responded spent three hours in my basement. Unfortunately, he was unable to fix this issue, as various leaks surfaced. He determined all my pipes needed replacing due to the age of the home. It was a job best suited for two men, which meant it would be two more days without gas. After what seemed an eternity, a two-man team from Gordon arrived exactly on time. The plumbers were incredibly knowledgable, professional, and frankly hilarious. They replaced my gas lines in less than three hours. They also determined whoever ran my gas lines (likely many, many years before I was born), created a complicated maze of piping. This increased the chances of a leak, but Gordon fixed that with my new system. I would not hesitate to use Gordon Plumbing in another unfortunate circumstance.
