    I contacted Grateful Plumber through Yelp's project feature. I noted that they were a plumber that…read morequalified for Yelp's guarantee program, a neat program that I've fortunately never had to use. I did my initial contact outside of business hours. Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

    We received a quote for a new hot water softener. We agreed on the product and cost. The morning of…read moreinstallation, I received a call stating the product at the warehouse was actually a different price (about $100 more) than what was quoted. I was told the system had not been updated so it showed the old cost. I don't think that was fair and not my fault seeing as we were told by the rep that came to our house that they have new iPads (he was getting used to using) with the updated pricing and documents. It put me in awkward position. After further conversations, we received the product at the original quoted price. Overall, customer service rep was very nice and respectful and installation was quick and efficient.

As you can tell by me writing this, I do not care anymore. This business has used tactics to manipulate reviews from creating a campaign to offering amazon gift cards for referrals and good reviews. Look at how they address negative complaints. THEY BLAME THE CLIENT. In good business the client is never wrong. If you want more of the details look at my google review but attached are the images of threats from the owner Joshua Dutton. Support me in changing their campaign one google review at a time. I do not have an amazon gift card to offer. I promise you, you are saving others thousands in plumbing costs. Not to mention they falsely advertise that all of their plumbers are licensed...which they are not. Only the contractor...Joshua has to be licensed and bonded. Then he can hire anyone to "train."
