Like many others, I'm not the biggest fan of those biannual cleanings (ouchy), but Kwon & Jabbour have made the experience as painless as possible. Their facility is clean, modern, and very high-tech. There's a lot of effort to ensure patient comfort and wellbeing. I didn't realize how outdated my previous dentist's tech was until I came here... And also realized how much smoother the teeth cleaning experience could be. Each time I've visited, the staff are professional, kind, and welcoming. During this visit, I got a zirconia crown made after a root canal. I was impressed how quickly the crown was made at Dr. Wong's office. The process took about 1 1/2 hours. The quality of the dental care is good, but billing is deceptive…read more I called and was told that they took Atena dental insurance and they were in-network, when I checked into my appointment I handed the clerk my insurance card and asked them to double check that I was in network, they assured me that I was. After I got my dental cleaning and x-rays, the clerk told me that they screwed up and were actually out of network for my plan, and that Atena would only cover 60% of the bill. So I had to pay $140 out of pocket which I was not pleased about. A few weeks after that, I get a bill in the mail for an ADDITIONAL $135, and they start calling me repeatedly saying that Atena wouldn't cover everything. It took a long time, but I finally got a response to my complaint to Atena that the Dr's office refused the insurance's reasonable negotiated rates that they were willing to pay, and Atena was not going to pay the full inflated rates. Note that their website still says they're in network for Atena and that they "avoid surprise billing." Yeah right. I ended up having to pay $275 for a simple cleaning and basic x-rays. Will never be back and suggest that everyone else does not get fleeced by them either.

However, my mom was the 5th person in line, the FIRST new patient/walk-in patient though, and a woman who came in as a walk-in/new patient as well after, was attended to first. We arrived before they opened at 9am and were not taken back until 10:54am. I was there to translate for my mom. The dentist Nina (I assume as she didn't introduce herself) was very rough and rude with my mom. My mom was having molar/jaw pain, which Nina was informed about, and she kept moving my mom around roughly for the different positions for x-rays WITHOUT guidance or saying much to her. Just grabbing her and moving/jolting her around. I had to step in and ask her to be gentle because she looked like she was trying to pry my mom's mouth open and my mom was very visibly and audibly in pain! After X-rays were done, she said the "doctor" would be talking to us. Also, during her exam of my mom, she used the SAME GLOVES to work in my moms mouth, grab different things and tools, touching the overhead light and xray machine things, and pushing the buttons for the pictures to be taken ALL WITH THE SAME GLOVES. And the X-ray and lights were NOT covered with plastic or cleaned from what I saw. So it's safe to assume that every patient is met with same unhygienic practices. Very unsettling. After some time, the male dentist (Mikhail, again assuming as no introduction made) looked at my mom's X-rays briefly, tapped on her teeth, and told her she needed a root canal all within under a minute. My mom expressed wanting an extraction instead of a root canal and he said "no, we save the teeth, schedule root canal" before walking away from us. As my mom and I were reviewing what she said and I was confirming she did not want a root canal, he stepped back to where we were and said "you go now, all done, go, go!" Rushing us out. We told them and made it clear we did not want to return for any further services or procedures and left. Need to mention also how disorganized they were. Multiple overlapping appts, long wait times, and unorganized charts. Heard the clerk staff looking for lost/misplaced charts a few times. Overall very unpleasant experience, worst one. We do NOT recommend this dental office at ALL! But if you don't care about waiting long periods, rough and dismissive staff, or receiving service in a clean office, then this is the place for you.

I've work done with them previously including implants and crowns, and have been very pleased with the results. From the start, it felt like they were pushing unnecessary treatment. I was told I needed a "deep cleaning," which is typically only recommended for patients with gum disease but my teeth and gums are healthy. The cleaning itself was done by a hygienist and it was extremely painful and caused bleeding. It felt overly aggressive, like my gums were being stabbed rather than properly cleaned. What made the experience worse was that the actual dentist barely saw me, literally just came in for a couple of seconds to say hello and then left. There was no proper evaluation or explanation. After the appointment, I was told that my teeth weren't even fully cleaned and that I would need to come back, be numbed, and finish the cleaning later. So essentially, I went through a painful experience and still didn't receive a proper cleaning. I was also left with a pretty sore and sensitive gum that is still recovering days later. To make things more concerning, they recommended the same deep cleaning to my husband, who also has healthy teeth. It honestly feels like this is being pushed on everyone regardless of actual need. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment here!
