On Monday January 20th(2025) I had what I thought was somewhat of a dental emergency. I called the offices of Koopah and Koopah in Orinda. I spoke with their lovely receptionist Donna. She was able to get me in the following Wednesday. The practice is made of 2 brothers. I saw Amir. Dr. Amir did a thorough examination. He spent well into an hour along with his assistant to explain to me my choices. He answered every question. I've been under the care of these brothers going on a decade. My husband is also a patient. If you need dental care look no further. Their practice covers the usual dental care along with Invisiline, Veneer and beyond. They and their lab together, time after time, create dental restorations that give way to the "aha!" moment. I usually see Tammy the hygienist for my cleanings. So disappointed in how patients are seen as money machines and not as humans. I was their patient for 2 years and wanted to get a second opinion on some procedure and went to another dentist locally for a second opinion. I returned only to be told that Amir Koopah no longer wanted to do my procedure. So unprofessional and unethical to not allow for the patient to attain a second opinion. He is basically implying that since you left for a second opinion, I do not wish to help you. He has a God complex and it's unfortunate that these shady characters are left in charge of our health. Wow My sibling had been recommending this pair of Dentists for the last five years I am a super nervous patient and knowing I needed a minimum of 10 to 20 hours in the chair for some major dental work. I have been dragging my heels on contacting any Dentist Given my nerves, I prefer to have long appointments because it's hard to build up the courage to go in. I should mention that I've only been to the San Francisco offices, but everyone there from the receptionist to his dental assistant, and the doctor are absolutely amazing. I have spent about 15 hours in the chair in the last five weeks and can say that for the first time in my life and I'm 54 I am comfortable at the Dentist . Can't wait to report back on my veneers, which should be complete towards the end of July. I recommend this office hands down. read more

Wow! Dr.Amir Koopah did such a amazing job on fixing a insecurity I had on my upper K-9s and surrounding teeth. Amazing experience. I was there earlier today. The office is super clean and covid prepared. They take everyone's temp before stepping in and everything was spotless. Dr. Amir Koopah Who is an artist when it comes to teeth, took care of all of filings in one day!!! I am super busy and can't take multiple days off and I also live 2 hours away. Dr. Amir Koopah did everything he could to fit me in. I did my cleaning with Yulie and she is so friendly and sweet and the whole experience was wonderful. Horrible. I knocked off my gold crown with a metal pic and couldn't find the crown at that time (found it later) so they couldn't glue it back on. I had no pain whatsoever in the tooth. When I went in for a new gold crown, Koopan took an Xray and showed me and said the root was healthy and alive and said he didn't see any particular problem with decay and I had no pain whatsoever, so all I needed was a replacement crown. Staff put on a temporary with no pain afterwards. After about a week, the temporary fell off and a different staff put on a new one and still no pain whatsoever. The second temporary fell off but fortunately it was only about an hour before I went into the office for my gold crown. I went in for the installation of the gold crown and still no pain whatsoever. While installing the gold crown Dr Koopah stabbed the exposed root and my eyes popped open as pain shot through me. That night I was in a lot of pain and took Advil every 4 hours and the pain reduced a lot, so I assumed it had calmed down and would go away. But, it never did. I have had pain continuously from the day he installed the crown until today. I have taken Advil or Ibprofen to reduce the inflammation from the installation of the crown, but the problem continues. After weeks, Dr. Koopah made a minor adjustment to the surface of the crown, didn't bother to take Xrays or any other diagnostic tests to see if I had an infection and needed antibiotics or if the root was dying because he stabbed it. The pain has kept going and going for more than four months. OMG! read more

I love my dentist! Dr Koopah is the best. He is super friendly and down to earth and also so good at what he does. He certainly goes above and beyond. A few weeks ago, I chipped my tooth on a Sunday. It was super close to the nerve. I called the office on Monday and they were closed but Donna at the office contacted Dr Koopah on his day off and he agreed to meet me at the office right away. I'd been a patient of this office for many years and I'm afraid that the Koopah's don't bring the same level of caring that Art Amos did. More troubling, is the recommendation for some care that I received a few months ago. It was pricey and I decided to get a second opinion. I don't know what the person who did the one star review is talking about but my experience with Koopah & Koopah has always been very positive. Both Koopah brothers are the most professional, caring, honest and efficient dentists I have ever been to, and believe me I've been to many. They are very knowledgable in all aspects of dentistry and explain every treatment in details. I have done implants, crowns and veneers by them and couldn't be happier with the result. I hardly had any pain or discomfort and the veneers look amazing. My family go to Koopah & Koopah as well and they are just as happy as I am. I love it that I can see both doctors because they are both brilliant. If anybody wants to see the real reviews I suggest go and check their website.
