Can't believe the lady hand off the phone and never pick up my phone call again. My kids were assigned to this dental office by Kaiser. The 1st time I called, no one picked up the phone and I left a voice, but no one called me back. I called another day, and then a lady pick up the phone, I explained my son's situation, not all yet, just few, the the call dropped. As a former Front Office employee, I stand by my previous post for this office! I popped through Dr. Galvan's Yelp! page just to check-in and see what the office has been up to. I miss Dr. Galvan & Meich (office manager) so much! In just an office setting, were as close as family! I am angry to read a couple of these 1-star reviews! As I have said before, Dr. Galvan does NOT over-diagnose a n y t h i n g! He is sincerely the most honest and caring doctor that I have worked for. And during the pandemic, I temped for over 40 offices in the Bay Area. Most PPO doctors would NEVER take on Delta Care, an HMO. It is simply not a business-friendly endeavor to do so, as offices who are contracted with it get paid insanely low for their work, such as crowns! That's why with Delta Care, you are typically going to a bottom-of-the-barrel office like Western Dental. Dr. Galvan wants to help everyone and has a huge heart that other doctors won't. That review is insulting and factually incorrect. I have had dozen and dozens of New Patients come to his office for comprehensive exam and leave with absolutely zero treatment plan. Just routine follow-up cleanings. This almost never occurs elsewhere for any other office that I've been to. Doctor clearly shows issues directly with patients though HD intra oral cameras and x-rays exactly what the issue is at hand. Have a better day, Elyse. Yikes. Updating my review to respond to their comments: yes, they based the recommendations on my X-Rays. The poor reading of the X-Rays and recommendation of unnecessary work is the issue I had (per my example - if you use an X-Ray to tell me a filling needs replacing but it doesn't actually need replacement for another decade - are you doing a good job?). The other thing they recommended was a complete overhaul of a root canal from over 15 years ago because he saw some tiny margins at the bottom that might possibly be an issue. They aren't an issue. So they wanted to remove (and replace) a crown just to do invasive, expensive and unnecessary dental work. Absolutely not. If you're going to go to this dentist, get a second opinion from someone reputable. My experience not only happened to me, apparently I'm not alone. Another reviewer (who appears to be a former employee and not thrilled that I'm talking about this) mentions that they get paid so little for their work - which is exactly why I'm guessing they are recommending so many unnecessary procedures, why their waiting room was crowded, and why I sat for 45 minutes past my appointment time waiting in a room with no apologies for the lateness. Use this dentist if you want, but get a second opinion! My original review: I came in for a cleaning (new patient). After a 45 minute wait in a room by myself, the Dr looked at my teeth and quoted about $4k worth of work. I was surprised because I've been going to a dentist for years who hadn't mentioned any of these things. I went and had my previous dentist look and he said the only thing he could see needed to be done was a filling replacement- but that would be about 10 years down the road. I only went to Galvan because I got Delta Dental and he was assigned to me. It feels an awful lot like he recommends unnecessary dental work to make money. Looking at reviews I'm not the only one to have this experience (they will likely leave a comment on this saying his recommendations were based on his years of experience - doing something for a long time doesn't make you good at it). I'd be very cautious about going here, unnecessary dental work can be very dangerous for long term health. read more

I changed insurance when I retired and this was my assigned dentist. I was a little worried for a new Doctor, but now could not be happier! On my first visit I was given a plan of action. This was not just a piece of paper--the dentist reviewed all the X-rays with me in detail, so I was able to see and understand the recommendations being made. I felt extremely confident with the doctor's expertise and explanations. It's also very nice to have such a nice staff. I doubt anyone looks forward to going to the dentist, but it's good to go with confidence. The office is nice, too, with large windows and natural light. read more

Cleanings were good but always pushing for more dental work ($21,000 total) and felt pressured. He sent me an email I need to get more work done or be dropped by my insurance (don't know if that was true). I agreed on the crown but they never responded. I change to another dental office. read more

The staff here are nice and helpful. I'm not familiar with my new insurance and Jen was great at explaining everything to me. They should call her Gem Nelly cleaned my teeth and didn't do the whole guilt thing about flossing. She was thorough and thoughtful. I have been flying from New York to get my dental work done by him because he is the only one I trust when it comes to my dental health. I finally decided to do some major work to resolve a broken tooth and some other issues and knew I could not go anywhere else. I did Invisalign, whitening, cleaning, extractions, and crowns with him. WOO! New Office!!! Super nice, clean, and pretty fancy My family and I have been seeing Dr. Galvan at his Vallejo office for years! It's so awesome he's expanding ~ now my other friends in the area can easily see him! (Lucky for them, we actually live 6-7hrs away but even with three little ones, it's still worth the long drives to see Doc for our dental work!) Meeting the new assistants and dental hygienist at this Danville office was SUCH a pleasure. Great chair-side talks getting to know each other and dental hygiene teachings! Talk about thorough... I can definitely say I feel confident with how I'm brushing and flossing now. They helped make sense of why certain techniques are important to properly clean teeth for me and kiddos. AGAIN, attention to detail is just as high-quality here as it is at the Vallejo office. The scaling-cleaning the dental hygienist did for me was AWESOME! I'm so happy with how clean I felt after and how my gums don't bleed anymore Now I actually crave that deep clean feeling and LIKE to floss. I wish I could get that scaling done all the time... like buy one for home haha! (no joke, it's an amazing feeling to me). The temporary crown Doc's assistant fit for me was carefully constructed and lasted well over the 3wks I had to wait to make the drive back up north with my little family. I'm super happy with the permanent crown Doc finished for me. On to the next procedures I need alot of work done and I truly could not be more grateful to Doc and his team for taking such great care of me and my family. I go here from San Francisco for dental procedures and it's definitely worth the trip because of awesome treatment plans and services. They're so good, I fall asleep during procedures. And their payment plans for uninsured patients like me make out of pocket costs very easy on my budget. I'm waiting to start Invisalign treatments after fillings and root canal. I'm ready. read more

Dr. Le is very meticulous and gentle and I had a great experience going to her. I go to her for my routine cleanings and she's always on time and pleasant to talk to. I also took my two year son to Dr Le for his first teeth cleaning. She was extremely gentle and my son warmed up to her quickly. Overall I think she's pretty cool and makes going to the dentist fun. Dr. Lins is the best dentist I have ever had. He and his team make me feel like I'm their only patient. The office is nice, very relaxing atmosphere. The little "waterfall" fountain on the wall and the relaxing music almost make me feel like I'm visiting a spa. Dr. Lins always answers all my questions, and explains all the procedures in easy to understand way. He is not money oriented. I don't have insurance, so it is important to know what really needs to be done now and what can wait. Last summer on 4th of July I had to come in for an emergency with my dad who came to visit me from Europe. I called Dr. Lins and he saw us immediately. If you've been looking for a dentist you should definitely see Dr Christine Le. I have seen many dentists over the years, but this is the first time I've found one that has all the qualities that I look for. I don't know about you, but I've always been looking for a dentist who actually cares about how I feel and also takes the time to explain things to me. Some of the other dentists I've seen don't make me feel that welcome and seemed to just do their work and seemed to not think much of their patients. I've had regular cleanings and fillings done on my teeth. Both experiences were great. She makes sure I'm doing ok during the procedures. I'm also sort of picky with who I go to so when I was looking up doctors who take my insurance I look at the school they graduated from. I saw that she graduated from UCSF, which is the top dental school in the country, so I know I'm getting not only a friendly doctor, but also a top doctor that knows what they are doing. just thought I'd mention that for any other nerds out there like me. I'll definitely be seeing her for a long time. read more

I'm in my 70's and Dr. Lins has been my dentist for years. During that time he's done one bridge and a few crowns. He is very caring and is a perfectionist when it comes to his work. He always explains what he's doing throughout any procedure. Melissa is my hygienist and she is excellent as well. Cassandra at the front desk is always cheerful and helpful. The office is exceptionally clean and has all the latest technology. I drive from Concord to Danville b/c when I moved several years ago, there was no way I was going to look for a new dentist. read more
