When I decided that I wanted to take a different avenue outside of the optical industry, I decided to try staffing agencies that I researched online. I had the opportunity to interview with staffing agencies such as keepers, randstad, & Curzon. I went in with an open mind knowing that there was no guarantee that there would be a job that would fit the criteria I was looking as well as the job specifications that the employers were looking, but even still I felt like it was still worth a shot. I also still continued to do my own job hunting. Out of the three staffing agencies, Curzon was the only agency who was able to land me a job. Through the process Rhonda Clark was very patient and helpful with me from start to finish. I literally called or sent her emails every other day to follow up and see if any jobs had come up and not once did I ever feel like she was annoyed by me calling. There would also be times where she would just call and follow up with me and see how things were going and just to inform that no job were available at that time but she hadn't forgot about me. From day one Rhonda was very professional and we even formed a close relationship. I put in my notice at work and my last day was on Friday and by Wednesday during the following week, Rhonda called me with a job opportunity which started as a temp position and has become permanent now. Thank you Rhonda for all your help and dedication to helping me to become employed with my dream job. Keep up the good work, and I would strongly encourage anyone to see Rhonda Clark and I am in the process of referring people. If you do not have patience and are not willing to do your part and be consistent with following up I do not recommend using any staffing agency. I had never been a 'temp' or used a staffing agency before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have been pleasantly surprised with the work opportunities and my experience with Curzon. I did my office skills testing from home and then had an interview in-person. The very next week I was offered employment. I've taken assignments that range from 1 day to several months. I have spoken to so many people at assignments that said, oh I started with Curzon and was then hired full-time. It has been the perfect work scenario that allows me flexibility. I am a military spouse so our time here is just under a year and Curzon has allowed me employment opportunities that keep my skills sharp, my resume consistent and my time fulfilled. I have only worked at 2 companies (sometimes different departments) so its been nice to return to the same office locations where people remember me and I can learn the internal software programs and be familiar with the office environments. For me its been the best of both worlds (flexibility with my schedule but opportunities to work in professional positions). Sandy Hackett has been my recruiter and she is wonderful! In fact the entire office staff is very responsive and has been a pleasure to work with. I recommend giving them a try because temp work is a great bridge to full-time employment if you're looking for that - OR - in my case, it has been the BEST scenario during our short term here. Receiving a call from Karen was anything but ordinary. As a professional at a Senior level, I have been always very apprehensive about Recruiters and/or Executive Search Firms representing me. Right away, Karen's tone, and eloquent demeanor caught my attention. Her introduction along with sharing her intentions of representing me was nothing like I had experienced with any recruiter prior to her. I highly recommend Curzon Staffing. Unlike other agencies they actually care about what you are looking for. I had a very pleasant interview with Jessica Mayo followed by an interview they arranged for me at a great company. Even though it did not work out, I am still in touch with the owner of the company in case they have any future openings. Jessica placed me at my current assignment very quickly, she worked really hard to find me a position. I have been at my current assignment for more than 2 months and it has been a great experience. I would also recommend Netashia Bolden, and basically the whole team. They are very friendly and genuine people. I have worked with at least 4 other local staffing agencies and Curzon are one of the best. I understand that it takes a long time to find a job. After looking for around 6 months i finally found a position. Please be patient, if Curzon cannot find you a job right away it is not because they don't like you or anything. Employers have different requirements and preferences. I am an immigrant as well and I never felt discriminated or treated badly by anyone at Curzon, so whoever mentioned in a previous review that they put you aside if you are an immigrant is mistaken. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff of Curzon was friendly and welcoming. The whole process from start to finish went very quickly. Within two weeks of submitting my application online I was starting my first temp job, which turned into a full time position for me. At my interview with the President, Debbie George, she made me feel relaxed and reassured in that as long as I did my part (checking in with them once a week to let them know I was available) they would do everything they could to find, not just any job, but a great job that fit with what I wanted to do. Jessica Mayo was also an amazing person to work with! She was my contact whom I dealt with on a daily basis. She was very attentive to any questions I had and the time sheets I submitted.
