My opinion is that they may not actually be washing the clothes. I also requested to have my clothes dry cleaned and the short Hispanic lady at the front told me that they don't do that and only follow what the tags says. I asked her why don't you tell customers that you won't dry clean when requested and she said "cause you don't know how dry cleaning works and how we clean here". I've dropped off 8-10 items in the morning (I think 7:30 is the cut-off) and it's ready for pickup on the same day after 5pm. I love that they put a plastic collar guard on every shirt I take in there (both laundered and dry-clean). What a great touch that is above and beyond in my book. Morning, noon or evening, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. While they do not offer a drive through service, they are very helpful when it comes to getting your cleaned clothes from the facility to your vehicle. Price wise, I cannot tell a difference between them and the other places I have used in DFW. Because things are done as requested I feel that I'm getting a better value for my money. I had been using Custom Cleaners for years until I realized they were stealing from me. They brought in an old korean woman in January of 2022 and every time she rung up my order, it was wrong, my clothes were lost because she had rung up my order wrong. Resulting in having to return multiple times to get my clothes back. I noticed that my dry cleaning was more expensive, I assumed that they had increased their prices. I began looking at my receipts and noticed the old woman had tripled the prices for my items, jeans and button down shirts. My shirts are cleaned and hung but repeatedly pressed incorrectly. The first time I brought shirts into this cleaner I explained exactly how I expect to receive my shirts after pressing. The response was "OK we understand." I have since asked, instructed, pleaded, begged and insisted (yes, 5 times this conversation has occurred) that my shirts be properly pressed after they are cleaned. The simple act of pressing the tags down flat against the back of the shirt seems to be an impossible task for this cleaners. Pressing the tags up towards the top of the collar creates a saw blade into the back my neck since I wear a tie all day. Wearing a piece of barbed wire around neck would be just as comfortable as the way these tags continue to be pressed, wrong. Once they immediately repressed the tags, another time I was told to "cut them out" and today they refused to repress them before I left but took them back to redo. This really isn't brain surgery or rocket science. It is simple attention to detail for good customer service. read more

I had been going here since moving to Farmers Branch a little over a year ago. I could not find one of my favorite (expensive) shirts that I know I dropped off there. I asked the Manager (Sharon) to please look for it. She gave me her phone number. She asked me to text her a picture of it and I did immediately. She never responded to my text. Then, I got home and realized my tuxedo pants from my suit was also missing. I texted her again to also let her know that. She never responded. Finally, after no response from my text, I called her. No answer. At this point, I figured I'd call the shop to let them know I was also missing my tuxedo pants. No answer. I started calling her cell back to back and she finally answered. She told me that if the ppl at the shop are working, they don't answer the phone. Huh?? Then proceeded to tell me there was no way my shirt was lost at her place but she'd check and call me the next day. She also said there was NO WAY they didn't give me my tuxedo pants when I picked up my order. She called me the next morning and told me that they didn't lose my shirt and that they had given me my tuxedo pants with the jacket when I picked up my order. At this point, I'm furious. I immediately went to the shop where she blatantly told me that it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to make a mistake like that because they count the items before they give them to the customers. I asked her to play back the cameras to validate that. After 15 minutes of going back and forth and me pleading with her (Sharon) to go find my pants and my shirt, guess what? They had indeed lost my pants! See the picture. My tuxedo pants had fallen off the conveyer belt and were filthy! She proceeded to apologize but then blamed me for not telling her that there was an empty hanger in my order. Wait What?? So you're gonna blame me for you all losing my clothes?? They are still saying they couldn't have lost my shirt bc it's IMPOSSIBLE for them to lose anything. This place will 1) give you one word customer service 2) not be accountable for its mistakes 3) discount anything the customer has to say as a lie 4) not LISTEN to your complaints. She did write me a check for $28 as a refund for my last order but she didn't want to give that to me 'until you come back to drop off'...Are you kidding?? I demanded my refund at that point. I will NEVER be back. They never found my shirt and I plan to send them a bill for it. I pay good money for my clothes and don't want them lost or damaged. I came in on Monday and the owner was there. I have a skirt that goes to my calf with a split right above my knee. I wanted the split raised to be at my thigh. The owner asked me if i was wearing anything underneath and I said no. And she commented and said that the split was too high. My response was "that's the look I'm going for" (and that my business. Judge your momma not me). Anyways. She agrees to do. I pay in advance and she said it will be ready on Friday. Today, Wednesday, I get a call from someone who is not the owner that says she doesn't have enough material to raise the split. I'm confused & pissed because she wasting two days but I'm like whatever, if you can't do it...you can't. I go to get the skirt and I walk in with a white male dropping off his dry cleaning. I give her the ticket and ask for the skirt. She gives me the skirt without saying a word and dismisses me. She then tried to help the man behind me. Im thankful that he ignores her and let's me continue because I had to tell her three times to give my money back. She finally picked the ticket up and gave me the money back. I have come here a total of three or four times that I can remember. Sometimes I'll go down the hill to another cleaner but I stopped using them for a number of reasons. Service here at Custom Cleaners is straight and to the point. A nice lady runs this place and there are always a couple people there to balance multiple customers. They are straight and to the point, just like their cleaning. Tell them how you want your apparel to be cleaned, starch level and any other care instructions. I was expecting my suits to be done in two to three days which was fine. The lady up front told me "next day after 3pm." My jaw dropped and thought oooook. Haven't had to use dry cleaners in awhile. With the level of service and attention to detail, I will be back for sure! read more

So full disclaimer, I can't 100% prove this at this point because I don't have before and after pictures of my blazers before the dry cleaning, but the circumstantial evidence is compelling. A few weeks ago, I had my blazers dry cleaned here at Custom Cleaners. A few days ago, I decided to get the blazers retailored so I went in for a refitting. As soon as as they showed me the inside lining of the coats, I was stunned because there were stains on both of them and I had never recalled that happening before. The tailor then proceeded to tell me they needed to be recleaned before they would work on them, even though I had not worn them out of the house since the first dry cleaning. I then proceeded to Custom Cleaners to ask about the stains. They claimed they didnt know where those were from and that they couldn't spot treat it since they are dry clean only garments. I had them dry clean them again at least, to satisfy the tailor. Once I got them back, both coats still had the inner liner cuff stains, although one was cleaner than the other. Before taking to the tailor, I went to one other dry cleaner for a second opinion. This is where the circumstantial evidence comes in. Although he was not convinced he could take the stains out, he pointed out the stain was right around the cuff link area where the brass buttons sit on the outside. Because they were not covered during the first dry cleaning process, there was a good chance they bled into the jacket cuff causing the stain. Such an argument made perfect sense as I had never seen those stains before and the location of the stains was in such an odd place. I asked him how his cleaners avoid this. He said if they are informed ahead, they wrap the buttons with aluminum to catch any bleeding during the dry cleaning process. Additionally, Custom Cleaners nearly charged me double what this other guy would have and he is only 15 min away from here. So in conclusion, it is not that just Custom Cleaners may have caused this problem, it's the fact that they didn't even bring this up as a consideration that I give them this low review. This cleaners is a scam. They charged me 11$ for a 3 xl dress shirt that I have been having cleaned there for months. Every other time I have had my 3xl shirts cleaned there it has been 1.99$. When I asked the woman at the store today she said it was because it was a larger shirt. I have never been charged extra for any of my shirts and this information is not displayed anyways in the store. Worst service ever and a total scam of an establishment. I've been going to Custom Cleaners for a little over a year now. I've always been real particular about dry cleaners. I had one in Houston that I would drive out of the way to when I lived there, even though it was in the middle of a random gas station/strip mall, because they took care of me and my clothes. When I lived in Manhattan, I had a high-level and high-cost service lose shirts, and more egregiously, iron on identification labels onto my clothing (that can't be removed!) without my permission. I'm always, always, always skeptical about a new dry cleaner, because I've only ever had the good dry cleaner in Houston - up until I found Custom Cleaners. Let's be honest - Yelp reviews can be taken with a bucket of salt sometimes. However, the great reviews of Custom are spot on. They are quick, courteous, well-priced, and they do an exceptionally good job. My prior dry cleaner in Mansfield charged me extra to place collar stays and to pin the sleeves on my shirts, and then forgot to do it half the time. The level of service for my items is extraordinary and the turnaround time is incredibly quick. I feel like we gloss over our dry cleaning choice as an inconsequential one - but when we're talking about expensive garments that are usually part of our livelihood, delays can be costly or affect our lives. Not only do they have excellent customer service and competitive prices, they treat your clothing with a lot of care and they have huge attention to detail. I've noticed a few times where they have gotten rid of spots and marks on certain blouses that other cleaners said they couldn't get rid of. I have to also mention a HUGE standout situation. My husband and I gave them some articles of clothing from our wedding to wash/dry clean, and they called to tell us that they found $100 bill in his pocket, and they that they would set it aside and give it to us when we picked up our items. Wow! This place bowled me over with outstanding service and professional skill. I bought my wedding dress from NM in downtown Dallas. After the wedding, it had some dirt around the bottom hem, and I wanted to have it cleaned and preserved. I asked the person at NM that sold me the dress. She couldn't recommend a business officially, but pointed me to cleaner off Lemmon Ave. When I brought it in for an estimate, the number they gave me was half the price of the dress (!) and then asked that I sign a waiver stating that I would not hold them responsible for any damages done to the dress during cleaning. She also seemed very hesitant that they could even clean the dress without flattening out some delicate pleats in the fabric. I left feeling very discouraged. Thankfully, a friend recommended Custom Cleaners. This was a complete 180 from what I experienced at the "recommended" shop. First, the manager personally looked at my dress and then confidently told me that they could definitely clean it without damaging it. He even described the process so that I felt good about it. They did a beautiful job, and I was very pleased with the results. They even requested that I look at the dress prior to putting it in the preservation box to make sure that I was happy with the cleaning. From start to finish, this was by far one of the best cleaning experiences I have ever had. Finally glad to find a great dry cleaner! This place is exceptional which I fully expected after reading so many of their reviews on here. They deserve the praise and definitely my business. I tried this cleaner from a recommendation from my bf and after validating (although not necessary I was just curious) on yelp. I arrived and was greeted politely immediately by a woman who added me as a new customer. She gave me a quote and looked over my items that were a couch slip cover and 6 large couch cushion covers. She explained to me the cleaning process and gave me a great price. I called a few other cleaners that quoted me more. This cleaner had my items ready within two days which is reasonable because I dropped it off mid afternoon on a Wednesday and picked it up at 5 that Friday. The gentleman that took my payment also brought my items and placed them in the trunk of my car. Very polite and I appreciated the extra effort. Sometimes it really is about the little things that businesses do for their customers. My items were well cleaned too. Next time and every time I need a dry cleaning I'll be here. Wow, this is the best dry cleaner I've ever used. I recently brought in a wine-covered shirt that I thought was a goner. They got everything out and completely revived it. They are on the high side in terms of price, but you get what you pay for. My clothes come out better than new, and their stain removal abilities are impressive. The counter people are always friendly, and it smells like they're baking cookies! I love that it doesn't have that chemical smell that some cleaners have when I go in to pick up and drop off. There are a few dry cleaners near my house, but am willing to drive farther here specifically because of great service. Just from my personal experience. everything has reached my expectations.
