Let me tell you something, A LOT of the time, business owners/managers see reviews and NEVER respond to them. This reach out speaks VOLUMES to the integrity of this business. That means alot to me! The next time I need an alteration, I WILL give Red Carpet Tailor ago! I walked into Red Carpet Tailor on Douglas Monday morning needing a simple side slit extension. The lady behind the counter was very nice. However, I am very shocked at the price tag for this alteration. Literally, extending an already existing slit in a Chef coat by 3" on each side should not cost $50.16! I could understand if I was needing same day service, but I asked to pick it up in 4 days. Great customer service & good quality work. Last time I walked into their shop, I brought in a garment that needed a simple stitch repair along with a pair of pants which needed the length brought up. I handed the woman my repair alteration before stepping into the fitting room to put the pants on so they could mark them. I fully expected to leave the repair alteration with them for a few days along with the pants, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped back out of the fitting room area because the woman handed me back my garment with the stitch repair completed & did not charge me for it. I've also had more complicated alterations done to a wool coat & trust them with my garments. I also appreciate their follow up to make sure that their tailoring was done to my satisfaction after I've taken them home. read more

Complete bait and switch. Quoted one price and charged another at checkout. When I asked about it, the lady made something up, saying it was a range. Additionally, I bought in my favorite jeans to see if they could mend them. Instead of just telling me she wasn't able to fix them properly, the tailor sews a straight line into my jeans, ruining them. read more

I've been here a few times now and every time I have a fantastic experience. They are always warm and professional. The service is always fast and well done - once I brought in pair of jeans with a large rip in the seat, and the way they repaired it you wouldn't even know a rip was ever there. Pricing is also very reasonable for the value provided! I swung by today to have a few buttons reattached and a small seam rip on my daughter's jacket. So I went in to get my dress altered for a photoshoot. When I tried on the dress I told the receptionist what I wanted taken in and she pinned me up. My shoulder strap was too big and she said that's how the strap is suppose to lay. It felt wrong but I went with it. To take in two points it cost $103. This included a $30 rush fee. I was not okay with the price considering you are charging me $70 just to take in two points but I said okay and paid. When I got home I realized that the dress strap was actually not suppose to fit the way she suggested so I called back and notified her. She told me to come back in and she would get it taken up. I drove back to the store and she pinned my shoulder strap and wanted to charge me another $60. I was baffled, I asked her why so much and she said she has to charge me another rush fee. So basically they overcharged me for their mistake and then tacked on two rush fee charges for the same order. When I complained she said $50 is as low as she could go. So basically the pricing is not consistent at all. I declined the additional work. The next day my dress was ready for pick up when I went to try it on, they removed a hook for my skirt attachment so I basically ended up safety pining the skirt so it would look right. It was a mess the whole shoot. I am very disappointment in my services and customer service here. I will not be back. read more

I just wanted my dress hemmed. It took them 3 weeks to do it. But when I was wearing the dress the threads were coming loose and I was getting tangled in my dress. Not a great look on the dance floor. It was definitely a rushed job and probably won't go back. It did look good at the moment until I was actively wearing the dress. I would give 0 stars if I could. I got a bridesmaid dress altered here that I could've altered better myself. I knew the dress was going to be more difficult to alter given the material, so I brought it in a month early to confirm with the seamstress that they could do this more difficult alteration, she confirmed. When I picked this up, it was completely jagged and part of the slip under neath showed in the back because the cut was not symmetrical. Do not go here for an important alteration. I will not bring designer items here ever again. We were charged an exorbitant amount to take in a knit skirt and hem. They were not capable of a smooth finish on this piece and it looked horrible. We had to have the work completely redone and we were charged over $100. I went here based on all of the amazing reviews. I never complain, but be warned, if it's a fine fabric or knit, I would take it elsewhere. read more

I went to this place to ask a few questions in regards to the pricing as well as the timing and the quality of the work but the guy who helped me was so rude he brushed me off and he even walked away from me saying in an irritated ton "just bring it here and we'll help you" and walked away basically kicking me out. the worst service I had especially that I'm trying to get my work uniform fixed and it's a piece of clothing that is very important and I needed to ask to many questions before giving it to anyon, I would never let them touch any of my clothing articles very rude and disrespectful staff... do better next time read more
