Even though I purchased that shade from another (online) vendor, they were happy to provide me with the service I needed. Their service was excellent! I recently had an issue where I thought the motor was not working properly even after I change the batteries and did all of the troubleshooting requirements on my own. When I called BSS, Ann in Customer service helped me go through the troubleshooting checklist before telling me to bring the shade back so that they could fix whatever the problem may be. The only thing I did not do in my initial troubleshooting was use lithium batteries in the wand. I always used non-lithium batteries, which worked fine. So in the last effort, I purchase some lithium batteries and sure enough that did the job! I truly appreciated the time and patience that Ann took with me to help me fix this problem on my own. I will continue to use BSS over and over again for future purchases.

I have had a mixed experience with Budget Blinds... I purchased my blinds (9 motorized and about 10…read moreothers) about 4 years ago, and they worked fine until one of them broke recently. They fortunately have a great return/exchange policy; however, the new products that are being installed lack the quality of the products that were used just a handful of years ago. Budget Blinds now needs to come back for a fourth time in a matter of two months to replace yet another broken motorized blind. The new blinds they sell are not compatible with the old blinds from just a handful of years ago, so the entire system for operating the blinds needs to be replaced, including: - 3 new remotes that only work for specific rooms instead of having one universal remote - a new hub that is extremely difficult to connect to Alexa and unreliable once connected - a new app that does not work nearly as well as the prior app. It's massively inconvenient, and I have lost a significant amount of time with repairmen at my house. To be clear, the service from Budget Blinds is great, but their product is terrible. I never would have bought if I knew the blinds were going to break this frequently. While the local branch may not have control of the products that they put in people's homes, they are ultimately responsible for doing what is right for the consumer. After four instances of broken blinds, I asked the local office to switch out all of my blinds from electric to normal, since those hopefully have a lower chance of breaking. They offered to switch out my electric blinds and credit me a very small amount of money on a per-blind basis. I was planning on using Budget Blinds for my new home, however I'm having a really hard time getting there at this point because the product is so incredibly bad. No amount of service can make up for a bad product, as it's massively inconvenient and is now costing me time to have these blinds in my house (which is a ridiculous thing to say, I'm aware, but it's the truth).
