When we decided to renovate the "carpeted wonder" that was our new home, we knew Minh was our guy. When we met him on site, we didn't even yet know what type of hardwood flooring we wanted. When I laid out my concerns with various flooring types, we both agreed on solid hardwood. Because of our dog, we wanted something hard and would last, so I personally procured the Cumaru flooring for everything but the upstairs bathrooms. He ripped out all of the old hardwood, carpet, and vinyl. He installed flooring (extremely hard flooring), new baseboard, and quarter round in the entire house. He even came back months later after the kitchen cabinet install to finish two little sections of trim for me. While there were many "shorts" (assumed end run at the mill), Minh made it work flawlessly. The results speak for themselves. Every contractor or family member that has seen the house through its phases says the same things... They love the floors. We are already planning future improvements to the basement, and Minh will be our guy when the time comes. .

Looking online, I decided to take her to Lomax Carpet and Tile Mart. Neither one of us had been there before, but so glad I chose this place. Lomax is a pretty big place, with any type of flooring you could need. I saw lots of hardwoods, laminates, tiles, backsplashes, remnants etc. to chose from. So sorry I didn't get the young man's name, but he was so patient with my cousin that I had to compliment him on it. He showed her a lot of options to choose from. What I really liked is that they can custom cut the rugs to any size you want. They told us they would be ready for pickup by the weekend. They called that same evening (Thursday) and said they were ready and could pick them up at any time. I picked them up the next day and laid them down on her floors for her. She loves them and they were cut to the correct size for all her rooms. I did look around a little for myself and saw a beautiful area rug that I would love to get. The prices are fair and they have a big selection. The customer service was great as well. No complaints from me, just wish I had the money for that beautiful area rug for my living room.

He helped me pick out flooring that went well with the current paint colors of my home, and that would go well with the colors I've been considering switching it to in the future. We went with a wood look vinyl plank for the living room and hallway and than a super plush carpet for the bedrooms. My dog prefers to lay on the carpet than the couch, its seriously that soft!

Good points: The showroom staff was helpful and polite. The showroom is open on select evenings and Saturdays which was convenient. There were multiple hardwood flooring brands available on display making it easier to find the perfect color and style for my project. Scheduling a quote for the project was easy. A person visited my home within a week of me asking for the quote. The quote was available in a reasonable amount of time after the house was measured. The price quoted to me was comparable to other flooring companies I had researched. Financing was available through Wells Fargo bank. The process to get the financing was simple and only required me to fill out a short form. Bergey did the rest of the paperwork for the loan and then ordered the flooring once the money had been approved by the bank. The installers were knowledgeable, efficient, and respectful of my property and belongings. They were respectful of my neighbors waiting until 8am to begin their work which limited the amount of disturbance to others. Not so good points: Although the entire process was seamless, I felt like I did not always know what was happening at any given time. It would have been nice to have a bit more communication between Bergey and myself. At times, I needed to chase for information. In my opinion, I should not have to chase for information.
