True professionals return your call. True professionals honor the warranty they boasted when selling you their product. After quite a few calls, Jeff came out to inspect the issue with our carpet. Refused the bait and switch and Store Manager said pay 50% down (which I did) to get installation. Tried to get installation and was told by manager that 100% had to be paid prior to installation. Why did they accept 50%. I can't get my floors done until 100% is paid. I refuse to pay until job is completed. They have over $850.00 of my money and won't do job. I want the job done or my money refunded. Manager accepted 50% down to do job and balance payable on completion. Why did he say he wanted 50% down. I paid in good faith. I was considering the kitchen but Calvin told me the flooring in there was in good shape and to keep it. Its not often that a service company will give you advice like that. He helped me pick out flooring that went well with the current paint colors of my home, and that would go well with the colors I've been considering switching it to in the future. We went with a wood look vinyl plank for the living room and hallway and than a super plush carpet for the bedrooms. My dog prefers to lay on the carpet than the couch, its seriously that soft!

Their prices are reasonable and there were no hidden costs as the job went on. We were so pleased that I encouraged my Quaker Meeting to hire them to redo the kitchen in the Meeting House. The job was done beautifully and they were easy to work with. The Freeds take pride in their work and value the customer/contractor relationship, which makes working with them a very positive experience. We have also had the Freeds install a new stall shower in our bathroom which required removal of a leaking pan and removing old tiles. The new walls and base are beautiful and very easy to keep clean. We are planning to have them install carpet in our home and do some painting this summer. Good points: The showroom staff was helpful and polite. The showroom is open on select evenings and Saturdays which was convenient. There were multiple hardwood flooring brands available on display making it easier to find the perfect color and style for my project. Scheduling a quote for the project was easy. A person visited my home within a week of me asking for the quote. The quote was available in a reasonable amount of time after the house was measured. The price quoted to me was comparable to other flooring companies I had researched. Financing was available through Wells Fargo bank. The process to get the financing was simple and only required me to fill out a short form. Bergey did the rest of the paperwork for the loan and then ordered the flooring once the money had been approved by the bank. The installers were knowledgeable, efficient, and respectful of my property and belongings. They were respectful of my neighbors waiting until 8am to begin their work which limited the amount of disturbance to others. Not so good points: Although the entire process was seamless, I felt like I did not always know what was happening at any given time. It would have been nice to have a bit more communication between Bergey and myself. At times, I needed to chase for information. In my opinion, I should not have to chase for information. Bergey should have provided the information more readily instead of assuming I knew what was going on at any given stage of the project. I highly recommend using A.W. Bergey for your flooring install. I am very pleased with my new floors and the overall experience working with this company.

There were no surprises from the first estimate to finished product. They worked with me on timing as I had other work being done, and they were honest about the waiting time for the order to come in.
