My oversized 2-car garage floor was in desperate need of an update. An epoxy coating had been poorly installed 10+ years ago and was flaking and peeling. Found great reviews about Custom Garage Works from several sources, so I called and arranged for J.D. to come out. J.D. arrived on time, explained the process and showed us our options. We scheduled a date to begin. Daniel and CGW crew arrived on time on the date scheduled and got right to it. These guys are professional, courteous, and meticulous in their work. They didn't mind my questions or my watching to see how it was done. They prepared our garage floor by grinding all the old epoxy off, removing lime that had risen through the floor, and correcting and patching all blemishes. This is very messy work, and they made every effort ("Successfully," my wife says) to keep the mess in the garage, constantly cleaning up after themselves. They even taped the multiple doors leading from the garage to the house, in order to keep the dust from finding its way inside the house. At our request they applied the coating to the baseboards as well as the garage floor, which makes it look larger and cleaner. They even hand painted the extremely tight space behind a tornado shelter in the garage that could have been problematic, but instead looks as professional as the rest of the garage floor. The job took two days (I moved stuff back in on third day), went smoothly and according to plan, and when they finished the garage was move-in ready and awesome. After a extensive review of company's in the DFW area, I happened upon Custom Garage Works and JD Custom. The reviews were outstanding and I communicated with JD to discuss the option of resurfacing my 4 car garage floor. JD was immediately helpful in securing the dates to walk and provide an estimate for the work. After the closing of my home, JD showed up the following morning with all the necessary equipment in tow. Nothing had to be sent for and no delays in processing the materials. The floor turned out wonderfully and I cannot be more please with the product and happy with my decision to use Custom Garage Works. Now, friends and family who have seen the finished product, want to have the same procedure on their floors. I called around to several garage floor coating companies as well as reviewed many of their websites. I wanted to make sure my floor was done right. I thought about doing the work myself initially until I realized I may not foresee possible issues that a professional would notice. Love JD and his crew. They do business the old school way, and do the work themselves, no shady subcontractors. Their product and process is top of the line, you will not be disappointed! JD came out to give us the estimate before we closed on our home and showed us the samples so we could make a selection on the color. He walked us through the process and timeline, no pressure to sign a contract on the spot. Daniel (JD's brother) did the actual install along with another skilled installer. They worked together like they have done this a few times! Like I said, they have this process down! Daniel explained the steps as they installed the product and explained the quality (overkill) of the products they use. Once the chip went down, the product needed to cure for 4-5hrs, so the team went to another job in the area. They ran a little behind, and JD called to apologize and to let me know what was going on and their ETA. They finished up just maybe an hour behind schedule, not bad at all. When I purchased my home in Carrollton a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted to get the garage floor done before I moved anything in. I thought about the DIY kits, but after doing some research I knew that wasn't a good option. I came across Custom Garage Works after some online research and I'm glad I did. We scheduled some time to get into the house prior to closing and JD came by and gave me a quote and a good explanation of the process. We set up the install for the day after closing. JD's brother and a few guys called to confirm their arrival. They showed up on time and got to work... and the results are amazing! I cannot say enough how great of a job they did. My garage has some curbing on the sides and there is a small gap above the curb to the drywall. They even coated the trim board under/behind the drywall above the curbing. Their attention to detail was flawless. After they did the grinding, first coat, and chips, they came back about 5 hours later and did the clear coat. Looks wonderful. After first calling another company that did not return our call for days, I phoned Custom Garage Works, left a message, and JD called me back right away. We were able to set a time for him to come out and give us a quote, and he did. We were pleased with his professionalism and pricing, so we set up an appointment to have our garage floor coated. On installation day, JD's brother and his crew arrived on time (they had to push back their arrival time due to another job, but they let us know well in advance so that was no problem), and worked diligently, coming back the next day to finish up. JD's brother even helped move our garage fridge back into place afterward. The guys did an impeccable job and cleaned up perfectly afterward. The difference between our old garage, with its nasty, stained concrete, and our "new" garage with its beautiful, high-end looking floor, is night and day. Talked to several places about getting my garage floor epoxied. Went with Garage Works for several reasons: warranty, quality, length of time in business and the overall confidence they instilled in me that they could deliver what I wanted. We recently moved here from Austin. We had our garage done with the epoxy floor there and loved it. When we moved here we contacted 3 companies that did this type of work and met with each of them. From what we saw and heard from each of them JD was the most knowledgeable and seemed to care a little more. Had my 1959 house garage floor coated and it looks amazing. Makes all the difference! I had this done on my prior house in another state and I was looking for someone here to do this garage. Just had JD and Custom Garage Works install a custom floor covering for our garage in Frisco, TX.
