I had an idea for angled steps and even though it's a bit complicated he took on the project and built some really cool stairs that make my deck unique. While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. They took away the dumpsters when filled, workers were respectful of both our property and ourselves, and they kept the worksite clean by straightening up every evening. When the project was done (we are 95 percent done), I saw them out with a magnet to pick up loose nails and screws, as well as sweeping up debris. Jim Senior and Junior arrived when they said they would, answered all our questions, and took measurements carefully. A few days later, we received an estimate, as promised. The windows were ordered two days after we signed the contract, and we received a text to let us know that was the case. When the windows arrived (a week before we expected them), we received a call to schedule installation, and a few days later, Peter and Chris arrived with the windows. They worked in tandem flawlessly, and despite the fact that this happened to take place on the coldest week in December, we did not freeze, because the work was done so efficiently, one window at a time, doors kept shut to limit drafts as much as possible. They also worked quietly (no music blaring, no loud conversations), were respectful of our property, and kept the environment very clean. They took a 30-minute break for lunch, and worked continuously the rest of the time. This took about 4 days. When they were finished, two painters came to patch holes in the woodwork and paint the filler strips. A few days after the job was completed, Jim Wilson Senior came to inspect it. We pointed out a few places where there had been minor damage on our walls during the window installation process. He took responsibility for it, and agreed to pay for those few areas to be repainted. He contacted the painters who then contacted us, and the job was done professionally in one afternoon. The entire process was seamless. We were fearing the idea of having 19 windows replaced. Wilson Home Restorations and their team made the experience painless. They are serious and organized. Here's how they stood out: They had excellent communication. From Angelo's estimate all the way to passing inspection, they were on top of their game. The estimate had every combination of options listed with exactly what they were going to do and photos of the planned work. We were assigned a field supervisor (Justin, I believe?) who would come out on the same day to inspect any issues we brought up. Our contact with the office via Cindy and Anthony was also superb and always timely. The work was done swiftly and well. The roofers were done before I got back from work. Siding and gutters are more involved, but they did excellent there as well and Roman et al. were excellent to work with, took feedback very well (see communication above), and were very hard and efficient workers. All in all, we were done with our project long before other houses in the same subdivision who had all signed up with doorknocker companies, and they delivered a high level of quality. To be clear, their estimate was slightly higher (my gut says 10% higher, but it's been a while since I reviewed the proposals) than some other offers we received, but for the work that we were doing, level of customization, and communication, we wouldn't make a different choice. I'm usually not one to spend time getting a bunch of quotes and just rely on Yelp reviews to make a purchasing decision, but this was pricey enough purchase that i figured I should do my due diligence.' Siding & Windows Group was one of the 4 companies I had come out for a quote. We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.
