I was told throughout the planning, leading up to the moment that we were married, how relaxed I was and such an easy-going bride. Part of that was because I had her as our minister. Planning a wedding when you aren't there, can be daunting... but that is where Ms. Kube comes in. Granted it was a small ceremony with only 7 of us total, but there are beach permits to file for, flowers, etc that needed to be done. I first contacted Christine about 8 months before the wedding and I knew immediately that she was going to make this a breeze. We used one of her packages that includes a photographer (Images by Liz) and I would recommend budgeting for this cost. The package is affordable and you are going to be in paradise so you will want to document it. The basic package includes lei for you and your partner, a champagne/cider toast, beach permit, and minister; but you can add to that by including a cake, a musician, hair/make up.. etc. She was able to answer any and all questions I had about Kauai whether it was regarding the wedding or if she knew of the best food truck in Koloa (it is Kauai Food Truck btw). There are 3 ceremonies to choose from; so if you are religious or not at all, or prefer something more Hawaiian, she has them. We were married at Shipwreck Beach at mid-morning (a great time as it was still deserted somewhat), and it was actually a warm day. The ceremony was short and sweet (15 min tops) and then the photographer takes over for the next 45min-1hr.

A week leading up to the wedding was very stressful. Hurricane Lane was happening, but I knew we were okay since we had a Plan B. Due to the weather and flooding that was going on, unforseenable events happened. Raimey could have cancelled and we would totally understand, but she was there for us and a consummate professional. So finding a spot that had the right lighting for our photos was difficult and Jessica offered to meet us on a Sunday and take pictures outside of our ceremony day which we very very much appreciated. They gave us a lot of options were added photos and were very welcoming towards our family and even took some family photos which we will treasure forever. For her ceremony she did a traditional ring blessing which I would very much recommend. When I asked for the refund of my deposit ($500) minus the cancellation fee, Marcia told me that my deposit was nonrefundable. I asked her to show me where in any of our communications that stated deposits were nonrefundable, she was unable to because it was never stated. Had I known my deposit was nonrefundable, I never would have booked Kauai Dream Weddings for my ceremony. Lying to customers is no way to run a business!

Living in the Bay Area, we did not have the time or money to make repeated trips to Hawaii while planning the wedding. We needed a coordinator who could take our ideas and turn them into reality. Jill is very well-connected to the island community in Kauai - when we needed something, she could get it. It didn't matter if we were looking for a place to eat, a projector or something completely random. Once we selected our vendors, Jill acted as our single point of contact, greatly simplifying the planning process. Jill is also extremely accessible, both by e-mail and telephone. She maintains a spreadsheet with a breakdown of the ceremony and reception details, including price, so it is easy for couples to figure out what tasks remain unfinished (or unaffordable). I don't think any wedding is stress-free, but Wedding in Paradise made our wedding as low-stress as possible.

When my wife and I decided to do a destination wedding in Hawaii, we had no clue where to start. I started out researching photographers and ministers, when I contacted Aloha Ever After and spoke with Timory, I just knew this was the right company and the right people to make our wedding the best it could be. One of my outstanding memories during the ceremony was Timory asking us to pause briefly to look into the ocean, there was a Manta Ray lingering just off the beach, in front of our location, she said that was a rare occurance at that beach, in fact, she said she hadn't seen that in 20 years of performing weddings at that beach, the locals at the Tidepools restaurant all concurred and didn't believe it until I showed them the photo. we chalked it up as the spirit of our lost loved ones joining our special moment. that was super cool to experience. I truly can't say enough about Aloha Ever After, The prices were more than reasonable, the help with planning was priceless, the team of Timory and Joel and the overall experience is something I'll never forget.
