What drew us to the session was that the purchase of photos was completely optional, which was a huge bonus for us since we were initially unsure if we were going to keep the pictures. We are so glad we did! The photos turned out so beautiful that we decided to use them as our maternity pictures. Our photographer, Obrayan, was patient, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the shoot. He had even researched and saved several maternity poses for us to try, which made the experience so much easier. My fiancé booked a photo session to capture the once in a lifetime moment where he was going to propose to me two days ago. After repeated emails, texts and calls (they were very hard to get a hold of), he spoke with Jared and confirmed with him several weeks ago. Unfortunately, during the 6:45 pm surprise dinner at Share the Stars at the Grand Hyatt, no one showed up to take photos (I was obviously unaware at the time). We waited a while and then our server ended up taking some photos for us on our iPhone. We've since then tried to contact Pacific Dream during our stay. We have informed the hotel as well who have been in contact with them. They have told the hotel manager that they would reach out yesterday. However, it has been two days and no one has reached out and seem to be actively avoiding us. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone looking to capture a once in a lifetime moment. They do not seem to care much about their clients or their special moments. It is disappointing that we did not get professional photos of our proposal moment. read more

We came to Kauai for our Baby-moon and decided to do a photo session with Pacific Dream Photography at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. I really liked the convenience of having the service at the hotel we were staying at because it made it so easy. When I heard the photos would be ready for viewing the next day, I didn't have very high expectations because in the past when we have had professional photos taken, it easily takes over a month to get photos back. Also, the fact that the session is complimentary i.e. you have no obligation to purchase anything if you aren't happy with how they turn out makes it an easier choice to just do it. Our photographer, Gabby, was an absolute delight! Her energy is so positive, genuine and infectious. We got along with her instantly and conversation just flowed. She made the whole process so natural and effortless. She was an absolute joy to work with, and incredibly talented, which showed in the final photos. Highly highly recommend Gabby!! The next day we had our viewing session with Jared. What my husband and I really appreciated about Jared is that he did not try to pressure us into anything. He showed us a video that Gabby put together of all our best photos and we were immediately blown away. Then we took our time to carefully select the best photos that we wanted to purchase and Jared helped us narrow down some choices. We were just so extremely impressed by the whole experience, we kept talking about it for hours afterwards. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai in June 2016 and used Pacific Dream to take our family photos. They turned out really nice, and our photographer Sandy did the best with our situation. What do I mean by situation? Well I have a 10 and 8 year old who refuse to take pictures, they are really difficult to work with, and she managed to walk us all over the property and get decent shots. I felt bad for her, we are really not easy to work with! As with everything else in Hawaii, this place is expensive AF. I bought a handful of shots (I think 10 or 15) for ~$400. I'm not kidding you. They say that your session is compimentary, and it is, but just be ready to throw down the benjamins for your pictures, and also to tip the photographer. read more

I am planning a trip to Kauai and wanted to surprise my parents with a photoshoot so we can have a keepsake memory. I tried phoning this company several times and left them a voicemail to please call me so I can get more information. Instead of calling, they texted me and asked me which location I prefer to shoot at. I repeatedly asked them to please call me so I can explain my itinerary and we can nail down a proper location. Instead of calling me they just kept texting me. I tried to call again and leave a message over several days but they have not gotten back to me. Very unprofessional! I was so excited based on these Yelp reviews but since no one seems eager to want my business, I will take it elsewhere. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt and it was so convenient to be able to walk right over from our room, especially with a toddler in tow (whose merriment is time-sensitive). I booked a photo session to capture a surprise proposal to my future fiancée! First off, it was extremely difficult trying to reach them after leaving many calls with voicemails, emails, and texts. After several days of trying, I was able to reach someone named Roos through text message who told me a photographer named Jared was going to reach out and call me to coordinate what I wanted. When I spoke to Jared, I gave him all the details of the surprise dinner and told him that the dining staff was expecting him as well. In fact, both Pacific Dream and the Grand Hyatt are familiar working together because of the frequency of proposals at the resort and Pacific Dream being located on the Grand Hyatt property. Unfortunately, no one showed up to take photos of my once in a lifetime moment. I had waited over 30 minutes from the planned time and because we were losing sunlight. We ended up having to ask our server to take some photos using our iPhone. I've tried contacting them since where I informed my hotel manager and Pacific Dream told them that they would reach out to me. I was also only able to speak with a Pacific Dream photographer, who just started working there, and told me he'll let the manager know and they will reach out to me. It's now been one and a half weeks and I have still not been contacted yet. I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. They don't care about their customers and don't care about providing any service! read more

When we stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu; Sandy from Pacific dream took our morning photos. We booked the 7AM shoot and the sun was still very bright by 7:20/7:40am...So Sandy had to take us near the shipwreck area to get pictures. All the pictures Sandy took are absolutely gorgeous...She made us look soooo happy and beautiful. We have a little one and she also did an awesome job keeping him entertained, clicked the cutest pictures of him where he is playing with sea shells and running into the waves. I honestly wish I would have gotten married in Kauai and Sandy had shot my wedding pictures; she's phenomenal and you should give Pacific Dream a try if you have the time. A coworker recommended Pacific Dream Photography - we had been considering doing a family photo shoot for our ten year wedding anniversary. I shot them an email on their website and got a response back right away via text. On the day of the shoot, Maddie was our photographer. She was so great with our 22 months old toddler! I don't know anything about Pacific Dream Photography, per se. Who I do know is CASEY CHIBIRKA. She took my photos through PDP. Context: I modeled for many years but am no longer 22... I have 4 kids. I wanted to take some photos in Kauai while I still look pretty good. Casey knocked out my session in under an hour and I have GORGEOUS, SEXY, BEAUTIFUL photos as a result. She has an incredible eye and is immensely more talented than that average family/engagement/wedding photo that's churned out of Kauai and ends up on a Christmas card. (You know those horrible photos where the whole family is on the beach wearing white shirts and khakis? Why do people do that??? Barf.) CASEY is akin to the high fashion photographers I worked with in LA, NYC, MILAN and TOKYO who guided me through countless covers and print work over the years. I can't wait to saturate her IG with my photos and am really grateful that I was lucky enough to connect with someone as talented and creative as Casey. The photos weren't cheap by any means, but you get what you pay for and you'll have your photos forever -- TOTALLY WORTH IT. Last but not at all least, Annabelle Brevik who helps everyone out for PDP at the St. Regis in Princeville is an absolute goddess. Both of these women deserve a raise or promotion.
