I called Wyant & Son on May 17, 2023 to report the damage to a family members headstone and left a voicemail. After not receiving a call back in approximately 10 days I called Wyant & Son again. I spoke to a female employee that stated her sister heard my original message and deleted it off the answering machine. During this conversation, she explained the owner would be going to Cherryville in the next week and they would fix it. I inquired about the cost and she said as long as there was no damage to the headstone itself there would be no charge to sit it upright. I called again on June 13, 2023 and left another voicemail requesting a callback. Leon Wyant called me back June 14, 2023 and was not aware of any of my previous calls. He stated he had been in the business for 58 years and insisted the wind did not knock it over and repeatedly ask me who knocked it over. I explained the headstone had fallen many years ago and they fixed it then and he stated he had no recollection of this ever happening. Mr. Wyant would not give me an approximate date or even the assurance he would be able to fix it. Stating it would take a crane truck and excuses about getting his truck stuck. I ask him at the beginning of the conversation if I should call someone else and he finally told me I should call someone else to fix the monument he sold my family and hung up the phone. All three monuments were purchased and installed by Wyant & Son. They do not guarantee their work or damage caused by an act of God when the customer offers to pay for repairs. I was not surprised to see other negative reviews for Wyant & Son.
