I hired Custom Solutions Construction to rebuild my fence after a windstorm took out multiple sections of the builder-quality fence that was built with the house (about 7 years old). Sam (the owner) and I share a common philosophy of "do it once and do it right" so we quickly agreed on using high-quality posts, brackets, and pickets to build the new fence per Sam's recommendation. Sam even went so far as to have his guys use screws instead of nails on each picket so that it will not come loose and the neighbor's large dogs will no longer be able to knock pickets loose and stick their heads through the fence terrorizing my kids (but I digress) All-in-all, I am highly satisfied with the quality of work, the attention to detail, and the professionalism of Sam and his crew. Sam was up-front and very clear about the details of the estimate, including materials used and a breakdown of costs that went into the estimate. He went out of his way to meet my busy schedule for a face-to-face meet-up to review the final details before work started. His crew came in and worked hard. We really hardly knew they were there other than the normal noise involved in deconstruction of the remnants of our old fence. I was comfortable having his crew working at my home with just my wife and kids present. Sam was on-site for much of the job bringing in materials as needed, checking quality, and even jumping in and working with his crew. In the end, the quality of the finished fence exceeded my expectations and it is something that I will not have to worry about again for many years. Over the summer my husband and I purchased a second home so we could relocate my father to Texas. The home we purchased was recently flipped but still needed a new roof and gutters. My husband found Custom Solutions Construction though yelp and I have to say they were outstanding. We had worked with a previous company to redo my fathers roof and they also quoted us for gutters. But the gutter quote wasn't high quality. Sam and Katie in the office worked with me and gave us a good price. We had already invested so much into the property and helped my father with some of the furnishings in his new home. It was so great to talk to Sam about what we were doing for my father and have him relate to us and our situation. Thank you Sam, Katie and your service tech for doing such a great job. A huge thank you for your service technician for calling me 10 minutes before showing up at the property so I can make sure my father stayed cool and calm while someone was working at the house. I haven't been able to find a doctor to properly diagnose my father with Alzheimer's or Dementia, but being able to relay this information with your office staff and how important it is to ease my father into people coming over was very helpful. We had a problem with squirrels getting in our attic from behind our gutters. I called Sam and he came out and gave a very reasonable quote and replaced our old gutters that were not large enough to begin with and solved the squirrel problem too. And they are gutters that don't require cleaning out! Sam is very professional and doesn't try to up sell you on things you don't need. We also had him do the siding on our shed since buying a new one that would be the size we needed and of good quality was no where to be found. Then he moved on to reside one or our garage walls. We have a house built in 1908 and it needs constant work. While it is usually me doing the work I am happy to hand a lot of it over to Sam. I have a lot more to do and he suggested just doing it a wall at a time so it is more affordable that way instead of trying to do it all at the same time. His company came to the rescue for a friend of mine who was ripped off by another contractor and saved the day for her elderly mother to move in with her. Originally we were looking for someone to fix a leak in our roof, which this has happened multiple times. We finally decided to go with another company to get the job done right. Let me tell you this, Sam came out gave us an estimate of the cost of fix our issue. It was about 250 dollars less then our previous estimate and Sam offered to fix all of our vents he saw an issue with. The original estimate was only to fix one vent, and Sam went out of his way to check all of our vents and fix them if there was a problem. I was so impressed that i asked about a possible gutter install. Well best choice i ever made. Sam took the time to explain why his gutters were better than others and gave us different options we could do with the install. Sam and his guys came on in about a week, install was fast and when Sam came out to inspect the install he saw some things that were not to his liking and called his crew back out to fix and they came back and got it done. Custom Solutions installed a back patio cover on my house. It is all wood construction with shingles. It is basic (which I requested), but solid, nicely done, and provides the shade I wanted. Sam and his team were very good and quick at getting up the gutters. He came over and gave us his pitch which wasn't used car salesman at all. He was up front with what he offers and didn't try to sell something not needed. We agreed and moved forward. His team showed up and did a great job installing the gutters. We contracted with Custom Solutions Construction to add "cool crete" covering on approxinatly 20 x 20 cement porch. It is amazing how much it reduces the heat on the concrete and it looks really nice. We also had them add a "no rot" 10' x 18' composite deck. This also looks great and provides needed space. The third thing we had them do was install a 10 x 20 Cedar pergola with a polygal covering. It also looks amazing.
