Contacted insurance and they did their thing and had us find a roofer to get the work done. We had several companies come out and give us pricing, but Roof It Pros was different and went the extra mile. He found some issues that needed to be resolved that the insurance adjuster didn't catch. He even did some additional calculations and showed us that we did not have proper ventilation, which was causing all the summer heat to just stay in the attic. He then took charge and got it all squared away so that we could get everything done that was needed and make sure insurance covered it. The roof came out looking amazing! The guys were very nice and also very quick. Along with that, we also decided to go to a couple of solar vents which made an incredible difference. I love that they don't draw any power, they are very quiet, and have dropped the temperature in my attic by roughly 25 degrees! The next day after it was all done, we noticed that the A/C didn't come on near as often. A great perk in this Texas heat.

I recently had 21st Century repaint the exterior of my house. You can find that review here as…read morewell. I'm writing a new one because this is a different project. After they finished painting my house, a few weeks later after heavy rains I noticed a stain on the ceiling of a guest bedroom. I knew immediately it was the long nagging problem of the "dead valley" along my roof. The house was designed and built according to the architect's drawings to have the roof of the first floor bedroom run into the siding of the house. It was a short "run" and rainfall should go quickly into the gutters. But, this was built under a big, old oak tree and for many years, I've had leaves and twigs built up, damming up the water. If I can remember it, I have to get up on a ladder with a rake and rake the leaves away from where the shingles meet the siding. After one major hailstorm, I had the roof replaced and when they replacing it, I asked them to build something to reduce the leave/branch damming. They did build it, but apparently not big enough. It lasted probably 14-15 years until this recent Spring. Since I had a good experience with 21st Century, I called them out to give me a bid on repairing what was probably rotted trim and exposed flashing and other rot elsewhere. And while they were at it, I asked them to build me a better diverter away from the siding. They came out and took care of it in a day. The guy was there from 8:30 to 5:00, taking a break for lunch, but got it done. Since they were also the painters, they asked me for the leftover paint they left for me (for touch-up) that came in handy as they had to replace the rotten trim and as it turned out a section of the roof decking. Attached are the pictures they took for the bid and then afterwards when they were complete. They were detailed enough to ask me first, "hey, this diversion we're putting in is a lighter grey then your shingles. Are you okay with that? We can go back and get darker materials". I said that was fine. No one can see that part of the roof and so it was trivial to me. The only negative thing from the painting and the roofing experience is so minor it's not worth taking away a star is that there will be a gap between when you sign and return the contract and they contact you about scheduling the actual work. In both cases, I had to drop them a line to remind them I was in the queue. Being a service that can't work when it's raining, I can understand that they have days where scheduled work is delayed and that causes a snowball effect of delays.

Original job was done and completed on time, price was comparable to other quotes we received. The…read moreproblem started when we received heavy rain after the roof was replaced and leaks started. The team came out to inspect the work, made a repair that did not work. Roof continued to leak and now the company advised me to hire someone else to complete the repair, they claim the leaks are a coincidence and not related to their work. Steve Powers told me it was unfortunate I was experiencing leaks, but it was misguided to blame the company's work. Now our insurance company is having to get involved.
