I happened to find Luxe Paperie purely by accident and I have to say, I loved the skull motif they had to offer. From the moment I placed my order to the moment it arrived, it was pure helpful professionalism through and through - it's hard in this day and age, especially in the Bay Area! While my notecards were definitely *not* cheap (50 notecards that were upgraded to a larger size of 4x6 cost almost $192), I'm absolutely thrilled that I have something different that shows off my hidden personality. It's one of the largest Hallmark shops I've been to. Spaced out nicely, clean and organized, with not too many visitors on a Friday afternoon. I spent a good amount of time exploring the greeting cards in the humor section, as I was looking for a birthday card for a family member. The selection was okay, but I didn't find anything that particularly stood out. I did end up purchasing one that was good enough. Plenty of gift bags to choose from as well. These were basic items I'd expect to find in this store, and I left with what I came for. Service was fast and friendly too.

We were lucky and got a table, so we sat there a little while drinking our drink and discussed a couple of books. Then we went back to the store and shopped around a little. There is so much to see in this store. She found 2 books that she wanted to get, The Orient Express by Agatha Christy (I haven't read the book, but love the movie) and another book, but in the end they settled on getting a game for my parents. The box looked intriguing, but when we opened the box at my parents house it turned out to be a complicated game. We'll have to study the directions and play it another time. We were tired by the time we made it to their house. I found a great book too. It was the unofficial guide to Disney World 2025. They have a new one that comes out in August 2025 for the 25-2026 year, so this one should be on sale soon. I was going to get it, but decided it wait to ensure we're really going to Disneyworld first. I don't want to do all this planning if we aren't going. The book is as thick as a dictionary. Apparently, there is a lot you need to know before you go. I'm excited for our trip and a bit overwhelmed. I look forward to our next trip to Barnes and Noble and finding more books and treasures. Someone walked over and told me that the guy that does printing doesn't come in until 2p, so I can wait for an hour and come back or use self-service. It was just one sheet of paper so I opted for self-service. I'm preparing to print my sheet, but I wanted to use cardstock so I asked another guy if I can have a sheet of cardstock for my printing job and he said the guy that does printing isn't here so I can wait for him or come back because he wasn't sure if the printer can take cardstock. Unbelievable! There were at least 5-6 employees at the store and NO ONE knew how to use their printer? That is absolutely ridiculous. If you plan to come here to print something, make sure you call ahead to see if someone is even there to assist because it was such a waste of my time when no one there could help. This is a 2 star review because they were all nice, but not helpful at all.

I had called Ace Embossing for leather embossing a few days before actually getting the work done…read more I was told that the turn around time would be 1 day. I had work during the week and completely forgot to follow-up with them for a time to bring in the item to get embossed. I called on a Thursday, close to their closing time and asked to drop off the following day and pick up on Saturday. Unfortunately, I was told that they close on the weekends. However, the owner mentioned he could do it the next day, if I brought in the item. He conversed with me over text to show me the different typefaces they offer and made sure that the embossing set up was ready for when I came in. I went into the shop today and literally less than 10 minutes and my item was embossed. Absolutely love the result. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo for your fast, friendly and amazing work!
