And another mini room dedicated to puzzles for all ages, jigsaw puzzles organized by age level and number of pieces, as well as mechanical puzzles and brain teasers. I was able to find a 100-piece glitter puzzle featuring unicorns and rainbows, perfect for my niece's bday. Staff was hard to find, roaming around the store blending in with customers wandering the aisles. But once the employee saw me waiting at the front counter, he helped grab my selected puzzle off a top shelf and the purchase process was quick and easy. Free street parking was limited on a Friday afternoon, but not impossible to find. I secured a spot just a block away.

What was most disappointing was witnessing behavior from the service desk that appeared discriminatory and inappropriate. Staff members were criticizing two older women who appeared to be a couple and then seemed to have security guards keep an eye on them for no apparent reason. Watching customers be treated that way was uncomfortable and unacceptable. Good products can only go so far when the customer experience is this poor. I hope management addresses the behavior of their staff and creates a more respectful environment for everyone.

I have not seen many back issues with the exception of wall comics. They have a pretty large area of clearance $1 comics on the left side of the store which seem to be 2-3 years old books. I like that these $1 boxes are on tables and my back appreciates that they are easy to sort through. They also have an inventory of collected editions which includes trade paperbacks, hardcovers, omnibus, and compendiums. The owner Kerry has tried to help me find some obscure current comic books a couple times which I appreciate. The staff have all been helpful and easy to work with. I believe they do a significant amount of business in trading card/game card these days, but still have a respectable comic offering.

Ever since then, he's been talking about them nonstop -- they're literally the only thing he's told Santa he wants. This morning, I called to see if they were still in stock, and I was so happy to hear they were -- and that they were the last ones! The woman I spoke with on the phone was incredibly kind and even offered to put them on hold for me, which was amazing. I also mentioned that I'd be coming in with my 2-year-old and that having the items ready up front would really help keep the Christmas magic alive. When I arrived, they went above and beyond. The items were on hold, and she discreetly scanned them under the counter, completely out of my toddler's line of sight. She bagged them with tissue paper so nothing was visible, and the entire staff was genuinely happy to help make this a magical moment for our family. The people who work here are so knowledgeable about books and scan always recommend the perfect novel or nonfiction based on a description of your preferences.
