This past Saturday I took the Mt. Rainier Tour with Joe and from the get go from being picked up he was a funny guy. Cracking jokes and making everyone aware of what we were going to see and what to actually expect on our tour. Was going to use another tour company in town but a day before arriving I got the news that tour was cancelled do to weather or what not. I first saw this tour being offered at half the price on Goldstar and decided to call them since they were offering a Saturday Tour (Sunny No Rain Day as per Weather App) and for the price I would have to be picked up in downtown Seattle and I was staying near the airport. Once the young lady knew where I was staying she gave me the offer of 20% off and I would be picked up between 8:15-8:30 in front of my hotel. At 8:10am sharp Joe arrived to pick up his last two travelers and head out in the tour. After a 35 minute ride we stopped to use the restroom and pick up essentials at a grocery store. After that we continued on our journey up to Paradise on Mt. Rainier. Along up and down the Mountain we stopped at various picturesque locations to take our selfies and group pictures or just admire the landscape. The tour in my opinion was fantastic, got to see snow fall on our hike and met people from different parts of the world. Joe is very nice and attentive to everyone's needs and like I said is cracking jokes along the way. If you forget any jacket or gloves and maybe even beanies Joe can assist you with some, he even took his jacket off for a woman on our tour that felt colder then most of us. He even had a camera tripod to borrow in case you forgot yours. I for one will use this tour company again my next time in Seattle and see the other tours they offer. Because of weather we had a foggy and sprinkled to snow day but on the way down the mountain we had the awesome site of Mt. Rainier at a point where Joe mentioned we might get lucky to actually see the peak.... And we sure did, icing on the cake. Thanks Joe and Customized Tours for a great time. ** Revised ** I'm updating to add another star. The owner reached out and apologized. They care about reputation so I don't want my bad experience to harm their business. Please take into consideration traffic and weather when estimating tour duration. Add some real tour aspect to the tour and not make it a bus ride. ** End Revised ** We bought 2 tickets to see the Leavenworth lighting festival through Groupon. The deal was $85 per person. We didn't expected much, but our experience was horrible. The tour starts at 8 AM from the EMP. We arrived at 2:45 PM! Yes, thats over 6 and a half hour. The toilet on the bus didn't work. We stopped at the ski resort for a "15 minute" break that ended up taking 40 minutes. We spent 45 minutes getting chains on because of the snow. We didn't mind this too much since it's weather. Then they took time to take chains off only to put it back on 15 minutes later. We were told to park in the garage across the street and should expect an 11 hour tour. The trip home took 4 hours. Total time spent was 15 hours! They need to be better at estimating times. There was no way we could have made it back by 7 PM (11 hour trip) if the lighting festival started at 4:30 PM. We thought the "tour" would consist of some tour guide, but it was merely a bus ride to and from the town. All the activities were free. We only had a little over 3 hours to explore the town. This is not enough time as all the restaurants had over an hour wait! Overall this was a horrible experience. $85 per person bus ride that took 10 and a half hours round trip. This is for the Wine and Falls tour... The guide was friendly and full of lots of information on the area. We went through locales that I would have never thought to visit on a trip to Seattle. The two wineries were awesome... definitely digging the Columbia Winery. After hitting those two we had an hour to get some food and hit any of the smaller boutique wineries (the guide gave us the choice to do that or visit Chataeu Ste Michelle). Then it was off to Snoqualimie Falls and Boehms Chocolates. Both touristy and cute. We had a lot of fun. It felt a little rushed and I would have preferred to do wine OR a scenic falls tour. It wasn't enough time to hike to the bottom of the falls nor enough time to hit up any of the boutique wineries and get lunch. Still we got to see a little of everything which is more than I would have pushed myself to do in a weekend trip without a tour. read more

This was a Winery/Snoqalmie Falls tour. I was picked up promptly from the Doubletree Hotel in Seatac WA by Cory my tour guild. I could not have asked for a better tour guild. Cory was knowledgeable, engaging, funny and a really safe driver. This was my first visit to Chateau Ste Michelle in Woodinville WA. Although I do not drink, it was still worth being there. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. In fact many concerts are held there during the summer. Cory was able to give interesting fact about Woodinville. Our next stop was Snoqalmie Falls. Again this was my first time and I was absolutely astounded at the beauty of it all. Our last stop was Boehm's Candy shop where we were given free chocolate samples. It does not get better. My husband and I went on the wine tour in Seattle. I must have misunderstood how many wine tour locations we would be attending. We only went to one small wine tasting Jacob Creek and then Chateau St Michelle. Of course the second was fun, we did a private tasting at the end ($20 extra per person). Totally worth the money. We had a great time. I however, wish we visited more small winery, then ended with Chateau St Michelle. There were so many in the area already. The man running the tour (bus driver) was very kind. The people on the tour were pleasant as well. An all around pleasant experience. The tour layout itself seemed a bit odd, two wine tasting, a ling drive to a waterfall (i thought it was a bit closer to the tastings). Then we ended with a chocolate tour. All places fun.... Im not sure However i would have put them all together on one tour. I would have preferred more different wine tasting locations... read more

We booked a three-hour city tour on a Wednesday. Mark picked us up at our hotel right on time. Fortunately for us there was only one other passenger and the three of us had a great time. Mark was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable on all things having to do with Seattle. We thoroughly enjoyed his narrative as we drove through the various neighborhoods and the several stops with photo ops. As luck would have it we got to the river lock just as it was filling with water and saw the system at work as a lot of sail and power boats made their way through. Did you the Mount Rainier tour today with Joe. I was hesitant to book a tour anywhere because I'm pretty cheap, and considered just driving up myself. So glad I did this tour instead! Joe picked me up right on time, and was engaging and knowledgeable. As others mentioned, he has a great sense of humor. He also knows something about pretty much everywhere we were including places he pointed out on the drive out. He knew all the places to stop on the way up, and once we got to Paradise, we actually went snow shoeing, as there was already some good snowfall. It was awesome! We ended the tour watching the sun go down over the river at the base of the mountain, eating Christmas cookies that Joe brought along and drinking hot cider and chocolate. Again, awesome. On the way home, Joe even brought Christmas movies for us to watch as we drove. :) Perfect! Great pictures, great day! read more

We had an excellent day trip to mt rainier with one of the best guides we have ever had - Danielle. She really enjoys her work and natural environment. The weather was terrific (end of August) and therefore we had magnificent views of the mountain as well as hiking options at Paradise camp. I won't go into too much detail because honestly the situation was a bit winded - but to say the least, there were a number of hiccups during a tour I had reserved back in December. We came on a bad weekend - it rained and, oh boy, did it pour. Fortunately for us, our tour guide, Joe, single-handedly saved the trip. Sure, the weather was bad, but he was incredibly thoughtful and made sure that we would get the best views while providing excellent detail on the rich history of Mt. Rainier. We didn't get to accomplish all that we wanted to see and do, but I was just glad to see the beauty of the mountains. Thankfully, he provided snow boots, umbrellas, and snow shoes. We were pretty ill-prepared, but luckily Joe wasn't. To cap it all off, he got us some cupcakes for Valentine's Day from the local grocery store along with hot chocolate to warm our cold butts up. In addition to his generosity, he even offered to stop by the supermarket on the way home for us out-of-towners to pick up any food. Overall, if I could give this place more stars, I most certainly would. Joe's humor and kindness greatly exceeded my expectations and this would be a tour I would absolutely return to and recommend. However, there is one more thing I could suggest...maybe some Kalua or Bailey's for when we get our hot chocolate? That definitely would've warmed us up even more. read more

My boyfriend and I went on the Snoqualmie Falls & Winery Tour, and it was the best part of our trip to Seattle! It was raining almost the whole time, but being from California, we were excited about it! Our guide/driver, Cory, was terrific- he shared fun facts about Seattle from the moment we were picked up from our hotel, and kept everyone smiling the whole time. Boxed lunch offered for purchase was pricey, but DELICIOUS, and super convenient. The drive and each stop was enjoyable, and the Snoqualmie Falls were incredible!! Excellent Mount Rainier tour. Much better than the other tour company I've gone with. We stopped at more interesting spots. Joe is terrific!

My mother and I booked a tour to the Mt. Rainier. I asked them to pick us up at a certain hotel in Seattle, giving them the exact name of the hotel. However, they completely screwed it up and noted a different hotel - I only found it out on the day of the trip. So I called the company and asked them if they can pick us up at the hotel we initially specified. The customer representative just said no, and told us to get uber to the hotel that THEY mistakenly noted. At this point, we had no other choice but to get a uber to that hotel, thinking that there would be a number of other passengers to be picked up at the hotel. But no, we were the only passengers from that hotel and we ended up spending money on Uber pointlessly while the customer representative simply could have directed the bus to the hotel we were staying at. I think this was a complete lack of intelligence and understanding of customer service. Thankfully, our driver (John) was nice enough to drop us off at a desirable location on our way back. Also, snow was pouring on that day and we could not even get to all of the points included in the tour. All we could do was to take a 20 minute walk around the cabin and return. Yes, increment weather condition is something that the company can't do anything about. But, they should have just canceled the tour if they knew such a big snowfall was coming. read more

My friend Jasmin and I were in Seattle for Thanksgiving and were able to sign up for the City Tour on our first day and the Waterfalls/winery tour on the day after Thanksgiving. On both tours, Corey was our guide. Unlike other tours where they will just do a routine pick up and drop off, we were treated with a more personal touch and more inside views of Seattle including personal recommendations for places to eat, points of interest and general information. Too bad, we were not able to go to the Mount Rainer tour due to the weather but we have already decided we are coming back next summer for that and we are bringing another friend along! Our travel agent arranged the Winery and Waterfall tour for us. Pick-up was prompt. Visited Januik (unfriendly, didn't speak about wines, only poured), Columbia (mainly reds, nice atmosphere) and Chateau St. Michelle (our favorite! Great staff, lots of tastings, wonderful property). We then went to waterfalls - where en route our tour bus broke down. Thankfully a farmer gave us a jump and we switched vehicles before heading to chocolate factory. Was a long day and I could have done without the waterfalls and chocolate factory (very small) - I would recommend sticking with wineries. Overall tour was a bit disorganized, 2 hour wait for vehicle was a bit discouraging with limited time, and tour guide was more talky about personal life than I would have liked. 3/5 stars is accurate. read more

I went on their Winery and Snoqualmie Falls tour. The falls were beautiful and I learned a lot about wine at the two wineries in Woodinville. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and the bus was very comfortable. Overall it was a lot of fun, but the layout of the tour could definitely be improved. The falls are a good 45 minutes from the wineries and, while the drive was beautiful, that made the tour a bit long. The last stop at the chocolate factory could be skipped completely. read more

The tour itself was fun and the lunch (even though it was an extra cost) was very good. My only one complaint was that we got to visit only two wineries. The Mt. Rainier tour was fantastic! The tour guide, Joe Pritchard, was very joyful, comedic, and knowledgeable. Our Mt. Rainier tour had awful rainy weather but our guide was giving it his all to make it worth it. In the end we could never see the Mt. because of the cloud cover and fog but this is Mother Nature. Our guide went the extra mile to show us the sights in full rain with no umbrella of his own as he lent the ones on the bus to other tour people. We booked a tour to Mt Rainier with SeattleTourscom and I must say we had a fantastic time! The tour was very well organized right from the beginning. Our tour guide Joe meet us at the hotel we were staying in downtown Seattle. We were along with 4 other passengers in a Ford Excursion. Joe was a great tour guide and was very friendly. I did not have snow boots and he gave me pair of warm boots! He also gave my wife Thinsulate gloves because her gloves were not keeping her warm. We went upto Longmire and and walked on the Trail of Shadows. It was magical! Unfortunately due to heavy snow the road to paradise valley was blocked. To wrap up our tour at Longmire Joe had some delightful cookies and hot chocolate and apple cider. Before dropping us off at the hotel Joe took to see a beautiful night time view of downtown Seattle! I chose this tour because of the rave reviews I read. Unfortunately, my experience was different. Got off to a very bad start because they were so disorganized. Stopped at various hotels and waited for people who were not there. So drove to next hotel stop and to my disbelief, actually DOUBLED BACK twice - from hotel downtown all the way back to starting point at EMP, then back to Olympic Hotel downtown (for the second time). Customers were disgruntled and one said she had been waiting 40 minutes for the bus. So we lost very valuable time running around in circles and absurdly going all the way back to the starting point to pick up stragglers. We got off to such a bad start and the rest of the day was just a rush rush rush and constant comments by the driver about time and having to get back to Seattle... I was particularly looking forward to some of the beautiful stops described by other reviewers which we never made it to. The weather was as beautiful as it gets - sunny, clear and the mountain was out! Who could ask for more. But we did not capitalize on the great weather. Seemed the whole focus of the trip was to hurry hurry hurry to get back to Seattle. read more

The scenery was fabulous up to Mr. Rainier and back, and the driver was a wealth of information. However, I can't rate this tour higher because it was such an uncomfortable 10 hour ride. The seats were extremely small, smaller that those on an economy plane. I couldn't change my positioning and my knees dug into the seat of the passenger in front of me. The internal air was muggy and hot, especially when the sun came out. Yes, I'm whining. But the discomfort pretty much ruined a potentially fabulous trip. read more

Having traveled to Seattle by Amtrak from Chicago, we were happy to be able to schedule the Boeing plant tour. John King was our driver, and he made the ride very enjoyable. His personality is one of the highlights of our trip, as he was quite entertaining and informative. We highly recommend taking any tours this company offers, particularly if John King is the driver. The van was very comfortable and clean. John even offered to drop us off directly at the airport, although we had to return to the hotel for our luggage, so we declined his generous offer. read more
