She says she's a blonde specialist and has been doing hair for years etc. Well she overlapped the bleach so much that when she washed my hair and then brushed it, big clumps of my hair were in her hand. I was so shocked, but when I got home it all hit me - I've cried so much ever since and I regret going to her everyday. My hair has never looked so thin or shredded in my life. I used to have beautiful long blonde hair and now it's wrecked, it's going to take years to grow back. I need extensions at this point. I reached out to her and surprise, never heard back. I don't think she cared. Stay away from this place. I'm out $400 and have to live with what's left of this hair read more

I'm really on the fence Cut Color Polish. The pictures on their business page showed good nail technique and the salon appears to be stylish and clean. So I figured I'd give them a try. I scheduled my appointment online- kudos for that! Showed up for my appointment to get a powder dip manicure, which includes a manicure not just the color change. The seating is all on one long bar, kind of community seating style. The manicure was unlike any other manicure I've ever had. It was a dry manicure, meaning no soaking your nails before getting your cuticles trimmed and cleaned up. They used some sort goop on my nails, perhaps for the cuticle and did the manicure over a towel. Something about this process didn't feel as clean. But dry manicures might be a new thing I'm not aware of. The manicure itself was underwhelming. The dip nail color process was interesting. the colors are super pigmented and durable. If you're looking for long lasting color but not interested in acrylic nails, powder dip is a great option. Mine lasted over two weeks and surely could've lasted longer had I picked a neutral color that would blend more with the grow out. I love the powder dip- that's awesome stuff! The price was a average. But I was bummed that the manicure was not really a manicure in the traditional sense. I'm used to hand soaks, massage and a good nail shaping before the color. This manicure felt like they bought some bottled cuticle cleaner at Sally Hansen and dabbed it on my nails and called it a mani. This setup isn't really something I enjoyed. The likelihood I will return is low. Rounded up to three stars for the price and that the dip nail polish lasted as long as it did. read more

Awesome place ! Maricella the owner just did my nails and she did a great job! Place is right under The Cadence and the new light rail stops right in front of her cute little salon! Everything is super posh, chic and most importantly clean! She offers an assortment of gel colors and zoya brand nail polishes to satisfy your every color need. She mentioned she only carries vegan nail colors so that's really cool. So far I've only gotten a pedi here but I'll definitely be back for waxing or even a haircut ! Her prices are also super reasonable and there's even ice tea and or water right at the front door when you walk in! How perfect is that? I went in to schedule my appointment and brought pictures of the color I wanted. I was showing those pictures and she thought I was looking for rose gold. I immediately told her no, I saw pictures of rose gold and that has a lot of purple. I was looking for a pink/orange light color for the summer. She said she'd look up some photos herself and we'd talk more for my appointment. For my appointment, we talked some more about how I didn't want purple, I wanted something more on the pink side. She seemed to understand. She bleached my hair for way longer than I've ever bleached it, while it still was lightly bleached from my previous color. I figured I was going for such a light color it made sense. While she was drying my hair, she seemed apprehensive about the color. She was saying how she used a new purple she wasn't familiar with. Alarm bells right there but I'm a pretty chill person so whatever. My hairs dried and curled and so very dark rose gold. I knew the price was on the cheaper side and the color was pretty so I pretty much just said whatever I'll rock with it. It's temporary so it's ultimately not a big deal. As is no surprise, it faded fast. What was a surprise was how much it seemed to lose luster before I even washed it. It was basically gone in a few washes and with being used to red colors, I'm good about washing once a week. Maybe it's just the nature of the color. I'm giving this salon 2 stars since the ladies working were nice. Plus their set up seemed really cheap, their stations were roll carts which I've never seen before. This salon is my favorite in all of Tucson. I have had a heck of a time finding a good place here, and I've lived here all my life. Cut Color Polish is clean, their staff is friendly, and it is overall an adorable salon inside! I have had a gel manicure, regular pedicure, and haircut here. The pedicure stations are set up like a long booth, and are SUPER comfy, not like the generic uncomfortable seats most salons have with the agressive back massage machines attached. For manicures, you sit at a cute little bar that makes your experience feel a lot less formal than most places, but in a classy way. My favorite thing about this place: it's super clean. The instruments appear to be autoclaved (the only method of cleaning nail tools that really gets them hospital clean), and in addition to that, individual nail files and buffers are used on you that you get to take home. I can't tell you how many nail salons I've tried where they use a really gross old nail file that's obviously seen hundreds of hands and feet. Cut Color Polish really sets the bar high for nail salons in Tucson! This is THE only salon in this city that I've found this level of cleanliness, friendliness, and stylishness all in one place. read more

I called to see about making a same-day appointment and was told I could get in within 20 minutes, so I rushed over. I have never been to Cut Color Polish before, but upon arrival the place wasn't dirty but it was pretty messy and unorganized. The lady at the front wasn't really at the front and it was hard to get her attention to get checked in. I just wanted a simple hair trim (I haven't had a haircut in probably 6+ months but the shape of my previous cut had held up really well). I went in with layers and cute, purposeful asymmetry and came out with a blunt trim, no layers were trimmed/blended, and the asymmetry is gone. I also specifically asked the stylist if she could give me the asymmetry back and she was totally befuddled and took off a little more on one side but now my hair just looks like I cut it myself unevenly. I haven't found a nail salon that I have truly left satisfied from in Arizona, until now. I like more chic and modern designs on my nails and I think I've finally found my go to spot for all of that. I left this place in the greatest mood! The girls here were all very sweet and easy to talk to. I honestly felt like I was in a room with friends having girl time. When i went in they fixed it.... to it coming to chipping again on other fingers 2 days later. I normally get gel on my nails cause polish never stays and this is the first time ever for me that gel didnt last 2 plus weeks. The polish is running off onto my fingers and pulling at my cuticles and the appointment took way too long. The girl who did my nails was very sweet but unfortunately did terrible work. Only reviewing its nail service: I went there once during my lunch time from work to try to save time. I can't remember this nail technician's name, but if she is still there, don't ever let her touch your nails. She has short hair with blond highlights and wears black frame glasses. She was so bad at painting nails and I am not sure why I sat there and let her finish. I had gel manicure and the coat were not even on my finger nails. I hate confrontation so I just let it go. And the gel polish start to chip just after two days. The worst part was my pedicure. I picked out a light color and she did my toes first. I thought my toes should be dry after 1 and half hours. After I got back to my office, my toes were totally messed up. Because I had to fly out next morning so I had to leave work early the same day to go back there and ask her to fix it. Since it was a light color, she had to put so many coats on my toenails to make them look remotely presentable. And then she said the polish would dry shortly. After I sat in the salon for over an half hour, I can see the polish start to bubble and I knew they are not going to dry. I asked the owner to look at my toenails and another nail technician had to fix the problem since that girl already left for the day. That's is the only reason I am giving a three star because I feel bad for the other nail technician. But I ended up spending more than 5 hours to try to get my pedicure right and I missed going with my husband and his friends. It is unacceptable for a hair/nail salon to hire workers having no clue what they are doing, for the worst part, who do not care at all. I will never go back to this place. read more

This place is nice and clean but quality wise ok their mani pedi probably the worst I've ever had. The girl looked like she had no clue what she was doing. She cut me when trying to clean my cuticles, i had to remind her to massage my hands, she didn't clean the excess nail polish off, and was in a rush the whole time to get off work. I went here yesterday for a manicure and a pedicure. The salon was very relaxing and the staff were very friendly. Everyone working seemed like they really knew what they were doing. They have a variety of services and a bunch of different add ons you can opt for (short massages, etc). We had to cure the glitter on my shellacked fingernails a few times, and she did so with giggles and no questions asked. The pedicure, using Zoya polish, was quick and thorough. The salon is immaculate, which is far more important to me than price, but even with the add-ons I paid $50 for both. Parking is something of a pain (if I said that in LA I'd be laughed straight into the Deep Valley) but I probably won't go anywhere else. It is a very nice salon and I went in for a gel manicure. It was described as indulgent and 45 minutes, but I was rushed in and out by the owner. There was no soaking of my nails in water, she just started working on them dry, and I had to go into the bathroom to wash them when she finished filing and before she started painting. I thought that was gross. The massage wasn't a massage; she rubbed oil on my hands and sent me on my way. This place really is a gem, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. I noticed it one day after parking in the garage next door while enjoying an evening out on Congress and was intrigued. I decided to make an appointment for a pedicure after a particularly horrible one elsewhere, and found the salon and the ladies who work there absolutely lovely. The decor and ambiance of the salon is great, with fantastic natural light and a clean, nicely decorated storefront. The ladies who work here are all fantastic, and are fantastic advertisements for their services as they all have great lashes, hair, and nails. I decided to return when I wanted to chop my hair into a shorter style for the summer, and Celeste did a fantastic job. I showed her a few photos of what I was thinking I wanted, and with her advice we decided on a collarbone length cut without any layering. After cutting and styling it I'm thrilled with the final result! I have always had a lot of anxiety about cutting my hair after a few bad haircuts, and it really took a lot for me to build up the courage to getting the chop, but Celeste really made me feel confident and at ease with her skill, as well as the fact that she listened to me and what I was looking for. I plan to return to her for any future haircuts and color I need, and I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend them! So I got a horrible haircut at a chain place and had a friend who referred me here to get it all fixed. Thank you Maricella!! This little tucked away salon in the midst of college-downtown as I call it is a place to check out even if you only go once. The staff is super friendly and I got offered a beverage as soon as I walked in. No snooty people yay! All prices include a shampoo and style. I felt like I was actually listend to before she cut and Maricella was just awesome, got exactly what i needed to fix my head before the holidays! Prices can be a bit daunting if you only want a quick fix, but it is worth it. I have extremely short hair and only got charged a men's cut price so they definately are fair. I went here yesterday for a haircut and deep conditioning, and a little disappointed. I came here a few months ago for a haircut by Rachel and loved it! Loved it so much I recommended this place to all my friends. Service up front is great! They offer you water or tea when you walk in the door and are very sweet. Pricing is very reasonable and I like that they offer a customer loyalty card. Now let's get to my haircut which was done by Felicia since Rachel left. It was just average. Deep conditioning doesn't feel like how it's usually left my hair feeling before, and the haircut was something I could've gotten somewhere cheaper. Every stylist I have been to has cut my hair after washing when it's wet, and after drying it when the dead ends stand out more. Felicia just cut my hair before and did not bother to go back after drying it to make sure everything looked okay. She also did not cut into my layers again. I asked her to straighten my hair and she rushed through it which I did not like. I like to sit back and watch a stylist go to work, and she failed to do many small things most stylists do. She was really nice and attentive, but what upset me the most is getting a thorough look at my hair when I got home. Doesn't look like I got it cut nor trimmed to say the least. The pedi was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. The cut was poorly done. The stylist didn't seem to know how hair can lie naturally and styled it in the opposite direction. What's more, my hair was still damp when I left. I told her I needed to be out of there at a certain time, but she finished with me with almost a half hour to spare. Totally unimpressed.
