The only downside that concerned me is that she rushed the drying process of the gel polish and I got some polish on my fingers but it's not the end of the world. Our group of four of us tried Cutie Nails today. We usually have nails done in the valley but wanted to try Flagstaff. This is the best we have found in Flagstaff! They accomodated four of us with day off notice. Had sufficient staff and a great selection of polish choices. All four of us were happy with our service. Wah. I got a regular mani/pedi. Paid $35 for the pedi ($28 + $7 callus removal), $12 for the manicure (discounted from $15 w/pedi). The pedicure was fine, not great, and done in less than a half hour. I guess at least he was gentle with the cheese grater, but because of it the bottoms of my feet are now rough/scratchy. I'd rather have kept the tough but smooth skin. Ugh, the manicure was terrible. I've read good things about acrylics and gel, but this regular polish job was terrible... goopy and bubbles, and didn't let the THICK coats dry between each. I could've done a much better job myself, unfortunately. Cuticles are pretty shit, barely gave them any attention. Also, he didn't ask me if I wanted my nails cut and proceeded to file them super short and in a ROUND shape without asking what shape I like... I LIKE MY NAILS SQUARE, SIR! Now I have to wait for my nails grow to get the shape back. I'm super bummed, they look just terrible. I know it's tough to find good nail places in Flag, but I'm extremely disappointed. Not sure the name of the guy that did the pedi, but the mani was done by Randy and everything about it is disappointing. Why people have raved about this guy is beyond me. I won't return. The man who did my pedicure was extremely rough on my feet. He cut both of my big toes with whatever tool he was using. Then after he cut me the products they used stung my open cuts so badly. This looks like your typical Vietnamese nail salon, however the technicians and services are much better than "typical". There is a large selection of China Glaze and DND polishes both regular and gel. The staff really take their time and don't cut corners. My favorite part is the heated lotion.
