I know she had problems with this, she had called 2 weeks prior to confirm the appointments and they were not in the system, so she had to rebook, which did make her very nervous. But the day of.. everything worked out fine. I grew up in McAllen, now live in SA, and had been in California prior to that.. so coming back down to the valley for hair and makeup made me nervous as to what we may be getting. I was pleasantly surprised! The salon was really cute and quaint. We were offered water or mimosas when we first arrived. The mimosas were really good. The stylists were extremely nice. I showed a pic off Pinterest of the updo I wanted. Carina nailed it. I was so happy. I absolutely loved what she did, and she did it based off a picture!! I would definitely recommend her for updos for any purpose, formula, proms, weddings, you name it. Rebecca did makeup for 2 of us. She was so kind, energetic and very informative. I explained what I wanted, the color of my dress and expressed my love of GLITTER, not shimmer, glitter. And she too nailed it! I will definitely come back to The Dry Room for future makeup and up do needs next time I need something and I am in McAllen.

I went to his studio and sadly he told me he had to cancel and reschedule for another time. He was very genuine and apologetic and offered a free shampoo and discount for our new reschedule appt (Awesome by the way) unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the rescheduled appt due to work. Anyways, 3rd attempt and so so worth it!! (He did come through with the shampoo that he promised and the discount which was very nice of him) There is a seating area with a variety of magazines to look through and a flat screen that was playing the movie "White Chicks" lol SO, Carlos did an awesome job with my hair! I had dyed my hair jet black (I know I know, it's bad for my hair) about two months before I met with Carlos for my hair appointment and I had showed him a photo of something similar that I wanted and he did above and beyond! He knows what he is doing It's been three months now since that appointment with him, my hair grew out a little and I just still love it. I waited for him to get there and left some money in the chair for his unprofessional and undone service and started walking outside, he followed me calling me and when he knew I wasn't coming back he started cursing and telling me "what kind of christian you are", I didn't speak one word. As I arrived, there was a slight confusion, as there are no signs of it being a business. However, the stylist, Dinah, greeted me at the door and walked me over to the salon area as her previous customer left. Dinah asked me to put on a jacket to catch the hair. The jacket covered the back part of my body. On top of that, she placed the customary frontal cover to catch the hair on the front side. Rapport was established immediately, and I felt comfortable right away. There's something g about the place being in a home that makes you feel cozy. Now, don't get me wrong. This isn't a place where someone decided to cut hair In their house. The salon looks like a salon on the inside with all the amenities of a salon. There's a wash tub for your hair to get shampooed, which I got, and just about everything you expect. It doesn't look girly either, which will make most men comfortable. Credit cards are accepted and my hair has received compliments since I left. Because of the double-covered areas, I didn't require a change in clothe after I left, as I had no hair on my body and Dinah combed me before I left. I will most definitely return here.
