I'm on a journey to revive my once curly hair that is now lifeless and stringy due to a bad dye job from a previous salon. From reading the reviews, I knew the stylist at Aruverde were my only hope. When I called to schedule the appt they didn't have any availability for three months. But that didn't deter me, it only spoke to how good the stylist are if they are this booked. So finally, the actual day of my appt arrives and I arrive at the salon only to be warmly greeted by all of the staff members. The salon was adorable, with a high end look but made you feel comfortable. Simony, the owner, tended to my mane. She did wonderful and was very knowledgeable about her craft. We came up with a game plan to get me to my end goal. My next appt is in June and I can't wait to go back and see how my hair has progressed. I cannot recommend this salon enough. These stylist care about the integrity of your hair more than simple fixes or doing a style that will damage your hair. Simony flat out told me that she will never agree to do something to my hair that will damage it and I like stylist that aren't scared to say NO. Give this spot a try, you won't regret it.

They have a cancellation policy which is not uncommon. once when I have canceled before close to my appointment, they called back and charged me on the card. This seems usual for many businesses so it was fine. Next time had an appointment within 24 hours (the next day), but my father-in-law got sick and had to be hospitalized. This was a 911 kind of emergency, the day before my appointment in the afternoon I called them immediately to let them know what had happened -- this is the day before my appointment. Nonetheless next time during my visit they wanted me to pay the cancellation charge because it was within the 24 hour policy as the owner kept insisting ( I called later in the afternoon the day before and the appointment was later in the morning the day after). The owner mentioned that it's not fair to other customers -I'm just wondering where is the equity and fairness issue for a client like me who calked a day earlier and had a Medical emergency to deal with. Irrespective of good products and standard service, this is how unfortunate it was and I don't see the right business policy, personal touch or client oriented attitude in this. That too I was charged the next time I went to see them!!! Wow!!!! I am appalled!!!

I naturally have really dark hair so this was a lot of work to do in one day. Jake was amazing!!! From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt comfortable and at ease. There was 3 things that I really liked, no LOVE about Vanessa's hair salon. 1. They are VERY CLEAR about wearing a mask which is such a big thing to me bc I have close family members I live with that have compromised immune systems so it was really nice to know that vanessa and jake made sure to take their customers safety into consideration. Everything was clean and spacious. 2. Jake knew how to take my dark hair (which was a mix of dark brown, black, reddish-orange hair that i attempted to bleach and dye myself) and lighten it using bleach without destroying my hair. My hair feels soft, strong, and healthy!! Plus it looks absolutely fabulous!!! I spent almost an entire day getting my hair done. Throughout the whole process, Jake and Vanessa made sure to check in with how I was doing. I had to bleach my whole head in order for the purple color to show up and Jake was able to lift and lighten my hair as much as possible without damaging my hair. This means so much to me bc a year and a half ago I let a different hair salon bleach my hair and it all fell out because it was bleached improperly. Jake knows the CORRECT way to bleach and dye someone's hair!!! 3. The third thing I really liked was that I immediately felt at ease and comfortable from the minute I walked in. I felt like I was hanging out with my best friends the entire time I was there. I dont plan on going to any other salon again. In fact, I cant wait to bring my mom and sister in so they can experience the amazing magical work of these hair magicians!! Plus they even do waxing. I got my eyebrows done and they look amazing!!! I highly suggest going to Vannesa's hair salon.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with A Hair Story Salon leading up to and on my wedding day. I needed two hairstylists who could travel on-site for the big day to complete hair for me, all six of my bridesmaids, and my two nieces. Tara and Mandi stepped up to the plate and the rest is history! I travelled to the salon in Fall River for my hair trial and was impressed with the setup they have going on there. Very clean, very professional. Space for my mom to sit nearby to help provide feedback to land on the hairstyle I was looking for. Tara walked me through the process and gave me some tips to best prepare my hair for the actual day. The morning of the wedding, Tara and Mandi were prompt and prepared and got to work right away. In the blink of an eye, everyone was done and looked fabulous! Both were very patient with me as I fretted over a few details of the final look. They stuck with me and made sure I was truly happy with the final product. And that I was! My hair was EXACTLY what I had been hoping for in the months leading up to the wedding.
