Because of the nature of my business (private lending) there are usually last minute developments that occur, and Lory continues to roll right along, getting them done, and making certain the projects get closed - on time She is the ONLY escrow officer I request when I'm buying a property, and the ONLY one I'll work with when selling. She has my absolute trust - and has closed about 10 transactions in the last 12 months. ALL have closed on time. If there was a hiccup, she knew myriad ways to solve the challenge. The home was on Indian Land which which added many additional steps and time to the process. FIRST OF THREE SCREW UPS - SO FAR - READ ON - I felt an urgency to let everyone know the absolute incompetence of this company. Hopefully, my situation may be resolved and then I will give all the details of a horrendous escrow. Mislead, deception, and very poor business communication are the least problems. It has cost me financially, professionally, and personally. Stay clear of this company - at all costs. Trust me it has cost me. More to follow. SECOND SCREW UP - Run do not walk away from this company. They continue to show their incompetence again, but now the sale is closed. We have to go back in and try to fix what they should have done. We did all the work for them on the existing easement and yet they were so inept they could not follow through. I have found nothing professional or positive about this company. They DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!!! Please stay away from them. THIRD SCREW UP - They knew of the easement we had through the property from the beginning. Yet they closed, to get their money, and did not take care of the easement. Now I am having to pay, and talk to the current owner, to get it properly recorded for our protection. They knew it. I told them - UPFRONT!!!!! Dana repeated it to me and was CLEAR ON IT!!! As far as Julie responding appropriately in a timely fashion - FORGET IT!!!!! I have called numerous times. The young man answered and said she was busy (approximately 4:25 p.m.) - he assured me she would call me back by the end of business at 5 p.m. I called at 5:04 p.m. - because of no call from her. The call went to VM. Nothing since. I even called the president of the company who said this was not acceptable. He would take care of it. I heard back from him last week. No new info. Since then nothing from anyone. I am not surprised. Time to finalize this with our attorney. Maybe they will wake up then. I am tired of them. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Do not use CV Escrow. I recently sold two properties. I used American Title on the first transaction. At the closing of escrow they wired the proceeds into my account within two hours. And they could tell me where my money was during the wiring process, too. On the other hand, CV Escrow draws out the process. They only close on Fridays very late in the day. They claim they can not wire funds that late. So they earn interest on the money from the Fed while they have your money over the weekend. Then come Monday, they don't wire the money until late in the day. Again, earning overnight interest from the Fed on the proceeds. This delay caused me to miss a payment costing me thousands of dollars. I am not sure this practice is illegal. But, it seems unethical. read more
