Sometimes, I pop in just to see what new doo-dads and knick-knacks they have in store. Service is always good - at least I've never had any negative experiences. Staff are always kind and helpful. They have a good variety of popular / some vintage, and some niche items. Pricing can vary depending on what you are looking for. Usually, I find them comparable to other major retailers if you are looking at the more popular "items." However, you can get a good deal out of here. It really just depends on what it is you are in search of. All in all, this is a great little shop for your photography and hobby needs.

You expect the gear to be in good condition and the experience to be pleasant. That would make for a 4 star experience in my book. But, Doug went above and beyond the call of duty. From helping me pick exactly what I needed and nothing I didn't, to communicating with my insurance company to make sure they had all the information I needed in the right place so that I would be properly covered should something go wrong. I called the man at the last minute "You got a slider?" the answer was "Yup" and it was promptly picked up. My delivery guys dropped the ball so Doug brought the gear to my shooting location which was luckily not too far from his office but still, way above and beyond what I expect a gear rental business to do. The best way I can describe it is pride of work. I will ALWAYS rent from Pro Gear Orlando! The shop, I have to say is truly impressive with the selection of cameras and film rolls and accessories they have in stock! You'll find everything from vintage stuff to modern photography necessities in this place. I took my 12 year old Nikon P510 for servicing as I was having trouble with the LCD display. Michael helped me with the issue and advised that it needed a battery and/or charger replacement. Since he didn't have any EN-EL5 batteries or MH-61 chargers in stock for sale at the time, he directed me to sources where I can find them and didn't charge me a single dime for the consultation! This gentleman runs an honest business and is genuinely passionate about his craft. He and his team are kind, honest, considerate and true professionals. This company sent me two authorization emails to the WRONG email address when the correct one is literally the email address I signed up to their website with. They'll also cancel your order if you don't respond to this "authorization email" within 3 hours. That's insane to me. Never in my life have I seen a more antiquated, convoluted process in my life. I would give them ZERO stars if I could. Please, save yourself the money and put it towards a business with better processes and good customer service because The Lens Depot has neither.

The only option was $100 overnight shipping to receive the item four days later at a UPS shipping center since LD refused to deliver to my home address. Picking up and returning the adapter entailed over two hours of driving. Since I was renting a 6K video camera from another vendor which had to be returned on Tuesday, I only had one day to shoot with the long EF lens. When I contacted LD and explained they'd charged overnight shipping for an item that took four days to arrive and that I only had one day's use of, they said no adjustment could be made for the $133 one week rental, since UPS had charged them $100 shipping on a 1 pound package, which I strongly doubt. I'll never rent from The Lens Despots again.

He took all the photos which was well over 1000, carefully removed them along with the old adhesive Kodak sticky stuff on the back if each, scanned them in order and color corrected them, then nearly placed them in bags and places back in order.
