    I have been a customer of this company for several years and used their services at least twice a year for my small photography business. Two weeks ago I rented one camera as a backup for a wedding shoot, that took place over a weekend. Prior to the wedding I had my first hiccup with the camera arriving WAY after it was supposed to be delivered to my house(UPS is HORRIBLE). After returning from a terrible weekend due to other circumstances, the camera was promptly reshipped back to the business. 2 days later, upon realizing that the camera had been resetting it's file-saving format so that I'd ended up with all jpgs, I called the company to let them know and discuss an email I'd received from them about a damaged eye piece. The camera was returned on Tuesday, I received the email on Wednesday, and I called the business on Friday. I was answered by an OSCAR who I thought was by far the rudest customer service provider I have EVER spoken too. He cut me off in my explanation of the past weekend's troubles to berate me for not having yet called to pay the $10 they had unsuccessfully attempted to charge my card(w/o my knowledge) for the eyepiece. He went on to tell me how it was "suspicious" that I'd call with all of these problems after not paying the $10, placed both my account and my business co-owner's account in bad standing, and threatened to spread my name to other rental businesses as "a problem" customer so that I could not use their services. He was incredibly condescending, clearly insinuating that i was attempting to get over on their business, and just downright disgusting to me despite the fact that i was being very courteous. After attempting to make Oscar aware of how rude he was being, I asked to speak with a manager. It was then that I was horrified to find that Oscar actually is an owner of this business speaking to his customers that way. I impressed upon him that as a fellow business owner I was appalled at how he was treating a customer, to which he responded with "the customer is not always right." I had hopes that someone else within the company would at least apologize for his disgusting behavior, but upon giving a return call I found my story to be met with mostly indifference, though in hindsight if the owner was that disgusting my hopes shouldn't have been that high for the staff. Before this experience, I would've happily recommended this business to colleagues. Now, knowing that this company is willing to speak to people in that manner and in no way attempt to rectify or apologize for the terrible behavior, ESPECIALLY when it is a returning customer, I wouldn't spend a single cent with them ever again. PS: I'd like to also point out that I have never had any prior issue with a camera being returned damaged, the rental of the camera in question had already been paid in full, and upon making that return phone call I discovered that both accounts had indeed been placed in bad standing out of spite.

    It takes a lot to get 5 stars out of me. It has to be an experience! When you go to a gear rental…read moreplace, you expect that they'll have gear to rent. You expect the gear to be in good condition and the experience to be pleasant. That would make for a 4 star experience in my book. But, Doug went above and beyond the call of duty. From helping me pick exactly what I needed and nothing I didn't, to communicating with my insurance company to make sure they had all the information I needed in the right place so that I would be properly covered should something go wrong. I called the man at the last minute "You got a slider?" the answer was "Yup" and it was promptly picked up. My delivery guys dropped the ball so Doug brought the gear to my shooting location which was luckily not too far from his office but still, way above and beyond what I expect a gear rental business to do. The best way I can describe it is pride of work. I will ALWAYS rent from Pro Gear Orlando! It's difficult not to; Doug made it, smooth, easy, painless, convenient, pick whichever adjective suits you best. Thank you Doug! I actually look forward to renting gear from you again :)
