I have to imagine it's owned by an actual mom and pop who have been in the convenience store game forever. The gas pumps are straight 80's style. Rotating numbers, no digital displays, and if you want to pay with a card you have to head inside. You get your choice of gas though, unleaded, unleaded, or unleaded. I like this spot. It's a great place to run to if I run out of half and half, or beef jerky, or pringles. The staff is always ultra pleasant and sweet. The funny thing is, I only head here while the sun is up. For some reason I find myself heading to other convenience stores. I feel like they close earlier than your standard gas station. The sodas on ice at the front by the check out counter are a serious nice touch.

I made a comment of how I only get the green ones but that the mixed is fine; the guy grabs a handful and this sweet man picks out just the green peppers for my sandwich. He didn't have to do that and I was so very thankful. Huge plus for just that. Shows he actually cares and I love that! Wish I got his name. But sir, if you see this, THANK YOU!! You made my day with that small gesture. I walked around the store and stumbled upon the Snyders pretzel pieces and they were on sale 2/$5. I hadn't had those in forever so of course I bought two bags. The sour cream and caramelized onion flavor.....SO GOOD!!!!!! Will 100% go back if I'm ever in the area. I need to try more subs!

This place makes me feel like a kid. It's the exact kind of convenience store I remember going to on long road trips with my parents. Fluorescent lights, linoleum tile, big league chew, and an aroma cigarette smoke, faint.. but ever present, engrained into the very structure of the building. The gas pumps are mainly just for show. This may also be one of the only convenience stores that doesn't carry an ultra selection of high abv local craft brews in 22 oz bottles. They have a couple of six packs for Highland, but it would seem as though the beer distributors haven't found or tend to avoid this spot. One truly unique item they carry here is Budweiser in 8oz cans. Also available are a wide array of gold chains and medallions, gilligan hats with phrases such as "Keep it 100" and "YOLO", and a surprisingly large selection of incense. The owners are highly pleasant people. A wonderful couple. Very sweet, excited to have you in their store. I won't be heading here for supplies before a party or anything... but I will come here for a healthy dose of Southern nostalgia.
