When I'm out of the country, I have always been able to count on the pharmacy team to mail my prescription to me, and it's always come through. The pharmacies that I had dealt with in the past haven't always been so consistent, which is why I switched to this one. All assistants and clerks are also extremely helpful and any questions they can't answer are referred quickly to the pharmacist. I feel fortunate to have a pharmacy in the neighborhood where caring comes first and service is excellent. Parking is free although shared with other businesses including a Whole Foods Market AND Ledo's pizza. I just went to the prescription counter, picked up the medication and was on my way. My main complaint was the parking. The lot is off of busy Connecticut and the entrance ramp is somewhat steep. Parking is tight and sometimes full. I used to have my step-sister come with me so she could wait in the car in case I couldn't find a spot. More recently we have a dog on compounded medication for gastrointestinal issues. There was a little confusion about her prescription because it was first submitted by an emergency vet and then transferred to our regular vet. Staff was very helpful getting it straightened out. We also opted for delivery at a nominal fee and are so glad we did. It's easy, reliable and the medication is hung right on our front door knob. I must say for very long term prescriptions there are some very good mail order pharmacies that are less expensive.

We're not reviewing a beer garden, after all. That said, I've been going here for years and think they get unfairly maligned on yelp. Is it difficult or impossible to get through on the phone? Sure. But that's seems more of a corporate and staffing issue that's not unique to this location. If you show up here in person, you typically see the staff busily working and helping customers. They fills scripts in a timely manner, especially when they're critical (e.g., antibiotics), and especially if you show up and ask nicely. If you need a place with great phone availability, this isn't it. But if you need a pharmacy nearby that seems to work diligently and gets scripts right and with some speed, this usually does the trick.

It's a fascinating place, as if Trader Joe's and a mom-and-pop vintage grocery store merged. I imagine their buyer prowls Europe for obscure items and random stuff. The prices are excellent. They also sell products that are not food and drink, and that also is weird, not systematic. We do regard it as the best place for wine. My wife also wondered if they had a pharmacy. We had been running around town, stopping at two places that are part of national chains. One was too busy and said come back tomorrow, another said they no longer carried the prescription. It was for our dog. Well, they stocked it -- they indicated they only have dog drugs if they also are human drugs (and I am always surprised how much overlap there is), and this specific pill fell in that category. So we were all set. My wife shopped for our other needs, such as a bottle of Pinot Noir to bring to a Christmas supper. Although I am not someone who shops to shop, if I were forced to browse the aisles here I would not complain, because there are always surprises.
