It just keeps getting worse and worse. No humans available by phone - I just called to refill a prescription and ended up screaming at the AI assistant. The AI assistant first says the name of the medication that can be refilled and then asks you to say what medication you want refilled. I repeated the name of the medication and the AI assistant didn't understand what I was saying!!! It was crazy. I speak English quite well. CVS has really become pro-computer and anti-human. When you go to pick up a medication, they won't even talk to you until you've entered all your information into the large computers that now sit on the pharmacy counters. Time to find a human friendly pharmacy. read more

If I could give zero or minus stars for this pharmacy I would. It's the absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to, I don't know why I keep going other than it's convenient. There is one female pharmacist working there who is very rude and unhelpful. I went to the manager and the manager said she can't tell the pharmacist what to do. More then a few years ago for reasons unknown CVS STOPPED THE WEEKLY SALE FLYERS and stop having weekly sales especially on cereals , etc, but now it's a different story , Weekly Flyers are bad as well as the weekly sales .I visited the local bronxville location to pick up a few things but left with more then a few things as plenty were on sale and my CVS card had a bunch of coupons on it . This particular CVS store was well stocked and organized and everything was easy to find and the pharmacy section in the back was empty so I was able to get some advice on a non prescription item which was helpful . Checkout was quick and with the items on sale and my coupons I saved about 18 bucks . My yelp meter is giving 4 stars and CVS has finally woke up with it weekly sales . read more

My insurance required I fill a prescription at CVS instead of my long time favorite pharmacy (Grassy Sprain Pharmacy) and though my instincts told me "don't do it, you know what will happen", I made the attempt to use this local CVS. Three days, three visits -- no prescription. Day 1: "No prescription here for you" no eye contact and whispers from the attendant rather than a volume that is usual in customer service. "Go over there and talk to him". Him = Pharmacist who confirmed no prescription despite my stating the doctor confirmed with me that they got electronic confirmation of it being transmitted. No offer to call the doctor. No eye contact. No assistance. Day 2: "No prescription here for you" and again no eye contact and whispers from the attendant. "Go over there and talk to them". Them = Pharmacist who says -- the prescription is here but we need a prior authorization and just got the prescription (6:15 pm). When asked what time did the prescription arrive they said 9:20 am. When asked if they called the doctor to obtain prior authorization (PA) they said no, we just got the prescription. No offer to assist by calling now. Told me to call my insurance for help. Day 3: I call my insurance and confirm no PA is required. I call my doctor to ask them to inquire if PA is needed. They did and said no PA required. I get a text from CVS stating your prescription is here please text YES to have it filled. I type YES. Getting excited that we are making progress. I go to CVS and again are met by attendant with no eye contact and no ability to speak at a level people can hear them. "No prescription here for you, talk to them". Them = Pharmacist Assistant NAMED Amanda. Amanda said HELLO, how can I help. Yes, I see a prescription here but we don't have any on hand. She, Amanda saw my exhaustion -- on the verge of tears I say "but why didn't you tell me that when you texted me, why did you not tell me that you had no supply yesterday or the day before?" I shared that I work in healthcare and showed my badge (White Plains Hospital a 5 star highly rated system of care with well treated employees). Amanda made eye contact and offered sincerely to HELP. Help she did. She and her pharmacist, Charleen got my prescription transferred to Fleetwood Pharmacy and I assured my gratitude. I left CVS for the LAST time ever. Grateful for Amanda's parents raising her right. Appreciative of her partnership with Sharleen who trusted Amanda when she was helping me and agreed to do the same. Annoyed that Express Scripts made me come to CVS. Thankful that Fleetwood Pharmacy took our call and filled the prescription in less than 1 hour. Shame on you CVS for creating an environment where MOST of your employees think it is ok to behave this way, to lose customers, to treat people as if they are not important and no expect more of your company. Grateful I know better than to treat other that way. Fortunate that I work at a healthy organization that cares for my well being knowing it will result in my caring for their patients/customers/community in the best way possible. On Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 4 PM I went to the CVS pharmacy in Bronxville to fill a prescription for Paxlovid. The pharmacist who said she was the senior staff member told me that my insurance wouldn't pay for it. She gave me a cash price of $1725.99. I am 77 years old and on Medicare. Medicare pays for Paxlovid. Coverage of this payment has been approved until the end of 2024. CVS pharmacy has all my information as I have filled prescriptions there before. This woman was so unhelpful and dismissive. She did not want to help me in any way, shape or form. I gave up because I wasn't feeling well and 5 other people had come into the store. I was properly masked to protect other people in the store. I really feel she should have realized that as a senior I have medicare and that medicare covers Paxlovid. Instead I was dismissed and devalued. I did not get the medicine which I really needed as I am a lung cancer survivor. This whole experience reflects very poorly on CVS corporation read more

I think cvs is catering too much to their employees and not enought to their customers. After going thru the covid thing where I ended up having to stand in line for an hour, then trying to get all my meds to pick up at once, now I go on my errands and the last stop was to pick my meds. I go to the drive up window and push the button and get recording that they are all on lunch. I could not complete my errands as I was not going to sit in a parking lot waiting with groceries in the car. You don't hear of a gas station or a grocery store closing for lunch, or a resteraunt or mcdonalds closing for lunch, They would loose too much business for that. Why can't the pharmacy do a split shift lunch to keep the counter/window open? I only gave them 3 stars because they did bring back script sync so I wouldn't have to make so many trips. I work for a psychiatrist and called this pharmacy today to see if they had a medication in stock because one of our patients has been struggling to find it. Because it is a controlled substance, most pharmacies won't give that information to patients. This female pharmacist was rude, like I was wasting her time. She wouldn't give me any information, and hung up on me. I called back and she wouldn't answer, she sent the call to voicemail. I will be filing a complaint with corporate. read more

This review pertains to the checkout person, Sherise, who assisted us with passport photos today. Sherise is a model employee whom CVS should promote and give a raise to. She managed to handle our passport photos, checking out multiple people, and dealing with the self-checkout register problems - at at once. Had a vaccine given to me by the male pharmacist and I believe he intentionally gave it to me in the most painful way possible. I told him I was afraid of the pain and he made sure to take almost 15 seconds to give me a shot that normally takes a few seconds by every other pharmacist. I do not recommend this pharmacy and won't be heading back there again. read more

This is literally the worst place I've ever been ever. I am forced to go every month because my medication is strict, and there has not been a single time where I have not been put on hold for 3+ hours on the phone before someone finally picks up OR the call fails. Whenever you go in and they say to wait 15 minutes for your prescription to be ready, be prepared to wait 4 hours. Everyone (at least in the pharmacy) is incompetent. Hire more people, train your staff, I don't care. But do your jobs for ONCE. read more

There is one female pharmacy employee who is extremely rude on the phone. I have had to call the pharmacy 2 or 3 times over the past few months to clarify something about a prescription, and she has made each experience unnecessarily unpleasant. She is rushed, dismissive, impolite and makes you feel as if you are a major inconvenience. She doesn't even answer the phone with "Hi, CVS Pharmacy, how can I help you?", instead, she answers the pharmacy phone by saying "Hello?" as if you are calling a personal line. It is rather odd and very unprofessional. She will then proceed to conduct herself as if you are interrupting her personal time. It is one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had, anywhere. So much so that I feel compelled to come to Yelp to post about it. read more

As a prescriber, I have never before had such a terrible experience with a CVS to the point that I felt compelled to write a review. Month after month I sent the same rx for my patient to this CVS, and every month they would tell the patient it wasn't covered, so I would send a copy of the prior authorization which somehow did not register when the script went in. When asking for clarification, the pharmacy tech could not have been less knowledgeable and the pharmacist could not possibly have been more rude. This cycle continued for five months until this month, when the regular solution did not work. After going back and forth for several hours, with the pharmacy tech not communicating to the pharmacist, the pharmacist ultimately yelled at my pharmacy/insurance specialist, told her to stop calling and wasting her time, and that she did not have the time to deal with this. Ultimately, we transferred the prescription to another pharmacy so the patient could actually receive the prescription, and I'll be sure to encourage my patients to use alternative pharmacies in the future. read more

It is great to have two drug store options in Bronxville. I prefer value drugs as it is locally owned and the people there are quite friendly. But cvs is a solid option and sometimes it is more convenient as there is more parking on that side of town. read more

I came here to collect a prescription and was told brusquely and quite loudly : "Your insurance won't pay for it." as if I had poor insurance when in reality I was a week early. That was the end of it as far as she was concerned. I instructed the pharmacist to double check it and she said you can collect it on Jan 23. To summarize the pharmacist would have been better saying : "Sorry Sir, you are a bit early, come back in five days." That would have been much better customer service. read more

This is your average cvs. The location is good and convenient. Unlike most cvs, this location is not as crowded as others. From my experiences here the lines have not been that long and they don't leave you waiting. The shelves are usually fully stocked. The employees are very nice and friendly as well. read more

The CVS Pharmacy in Bronxville NY needs to greatly improve. Some of the pharmacy staff isn't personable with the customers. The pharmacy manager doesn't look at customers when speaking to them instead he focuses on the computer screen reading the prescription. I understand they are part of a large corporation but that isn't an excuse for poor interpersonal interaction with the customers. Also, the pharmacy lines are always long no matter what time of the day. Again, not caring about the customers waiting in line.. New staff would be an improvement.. read more

This review is regarding the pharmacy department only. I visit this location regularly, and the service staff on the shop floor are always wonderful. I wish I could say the same about the pharmacists, but I can't. They are extremely brusque and couldn't be less helpful. I visited here this morning, simply wanting to see if my insurance would cover the flu shot. I was made to wait for twenty minutes. All that was required was the male pharmacist on duty to cast an eye on my insurance card, but I guess that is asking too much. He was put out see me there and curtly informs me I'll have to wait for a few minutes. I have to say; this is not an unusual occurrence for this pharmacy; actually, it seems to be an ongoing pattern with this department at the Bronxville location. I've worked in healthcare all my working life, and treating customers/clients in such a dismissive manner is appalling and unacceptable. Today, I tried to speak to someone in the pharmacy........I could only get the automated system. I order through the system but never received a confirming text. I kept trying to reach a person...but I could not...I finally drove there, circling for a parking space, finally got inside, I went in and waited in line to speak to someone. I asked what was with the phones....they said they had not been ringing...oh.... a pharmacy that no one ever calls? Right, maybe they have the phones turned off because of lack of staff? Could be - only two people working there. Anyway asked to have my script filled, told - 15 minutes.......walked around for a half hour went back and waited near the pharmacy, finally was told they were out of the medication and I would have to do this all again tomorrow, after the order arrived..... Yeh, ok .. I don't think so....I will be transferring my scripts to a more costumer friendly business.....one that will not cause me to waste a day attempting to get one medication.. Glad it wasn't an emergency - I don't know how you could actually call and speak to the pharmacist, since they do not actually allow questions over the phone ....RIDICOULOUS place! Run away, unless you like, unanswered phone calls, long lines (where you will probably catch the flu while waiting) and total disregard for your time! CVS please, go out of business! read more

i have purchased 1ooo dollars per month in medication,from CVS ,for 14 years ! i purchase all my detergents , beauty aids, milk cream, candy ,snacks.etc. i have ,maybe , returned 5 items in that time span . but i was denied a return because i did not have the packaging or my receipt. i know this is not store policy ,but the manager can use her discretion and she acknowledged this fact,smiled and refused me. i explained i have spent over 150 thousand dollars at CVS over the last 15 years. i also told her if she did not make an exception in this case i would pull my monthly prescription , go somewhere else and never return to CVS again.she said that was ok with her. so, i went up to value drug in eastchester.you owe it to yourself to check it out. the eastchester value drug is family owned and operated .the manager introduced himself and was glad to have my business. as far as im concerned the manager at cvs bronxville was a fool to not satisfy me. good bye bronxville cvs and any cvs if i can help it. oh , and thanks for your loyalty towards me. read more
