This is more about the pharmacy. I had two coupons and after waiting was told to have to pay full price and if I wanted to use the coupons would have to wait down at the drop off counter. The line was rather long and I could tell the cashier was rather stressed as lunch hour was approaching but wouldn't it have been quicker to go ahead and take my coupons for my prescriptions than make me wait longer to use a coupon AFTER paying full price? This has been my go to CVS for the last 9 years but I think it's time to look elsewhere. With so many new developments that have abs will be built, there is always a long line. With such a small store, it gets to be a bit much. The staff always look overwhelmed. They typically do the best they can but can get a bit testy at times. I have lived in many states and have used many different pharmacies. This is by far the worst one I have ever been to. It can either be "understaffed" and "backed up" or "staffed to the gills" and it does not matter. I have had to literally wait in line for 20 minutes just to end in giving up and leaving. I always dread walking into this pharmacy. It's like the DMV in Zootopia where they are all sloths. I have actually had a script called into the Davidson location, drove there, picked up the script and was back at home before the normal time it takes them for this location to fill it let alone wait in line. I have actually been waiting in line for so long I could write this entire review and is the last time I will come here. Cheaper prices and better service at Publix not to mention you can grab a sandwich in a fraction of the time wasted at this black hole of time. read more

This is the worst CVS I have ever been to for the pharmacy. While they are currently understaffed, the issues have been here long before Covid. They are slow, hard to get a hold of and make mistakes constantly to prescriptions. As I sit in the store finally writing this, I tried calling multiple times to be put on hold for over 30 mins before giving up and to get a prescription taken off hold, I had to come inside and wait 30 mins to get it taken care of. When I asked why it was on hold they said they didn't really even know. I am stuck with CVS because of my insurance, but this will be may last time giving this location my business. They can not listen to a simple set of instructions. Seriously stupidity... Called them an hour before arriving at the store..made sure to explain exactly what they needed to do because there was a small issue last time.. Okay no problem Perfect I pick it up... Get to my car And they FUCKED IT UP Only giving me 1/3 of my script.. Paid the full amount though.. NEVER schedule a Covid test here unless you have over a hour to wait beyond your scheduled appointment. No one answers the phone. It's quite ridiculous. I thought the first time was a fluke when I waited over a hour, but it's consistent after scheduling a second time. Only reason I tried the location a second time was because it's so close to my home, but consider driving further to have faster & timely service. read more

The location at Birkdale is so congested with the construction, not enough parking spaces you always get pinned in by the cars in the drive thru. They never answer the phone so I will drive farther to Walgreens than the convenience of CVS being right around the corner. read more

I hate going to this CVS. I called them multiple times they never answer the phone. I was on hold for about an hour. I decided to drive up there then they finally answered the phone when I arrived. They said I had to come back tomorrow to pick it up because it was an hour till they close. I was in dire need of this prescription. I was trying to get in contact with them all day and nothing. They were also very rude. I was persistent and told them I've been waiting for them to answer the phone all day because I was at work and couldn't drive up there at the time. I was trying to call them so I could just go up there and pick it up as soon as I arrived before they closed. They had an attitude with me but agreed to get it to me that day and told me to wait 45 minutes. Another day I went up there. I was waiting in line for my prescription I heard two employees behind the counter laugh when the phone was ringing and said that they are not worried about it they're not picking it up. They can come inside. I avoid this place as much as possible but since it's the only convenient one near my house, I have to deal with this pretty often. I understand that everywhere is shortstaffed and we are in inflation, but that doesn't mean you have to be rude. I work with customer service, and this is not how you act. read more

While I like the store in general I can never get in touch with the pharmacy. In the last month I tried three times to call and ask if my 92 year old mothers medicines were ready and never got pick up after holding 15-20 on average. I'm just glad she has us to go by and see if it's ready. Finally switched to Harris Teeter because I just need better customer service. I have very little free time between my house and caregiving. I can't spend an extra thirty minutes driving there just to see if it's ready. read more

Friendly workers, clean store, seemingly well-marked shelves. However, this pharmacy is SLOW or they are understaffed although I saw 6 employees behind the pharmacy counter. When i first arrived the drive through was closed for lunchbreak so i waited. After 2pm (when they should have re-opened the drive-thru window) I waited 5-7 minutes then i parked and went inside. I was told 1 of my 3 prescriptions was in-process and would be expedited and ready in 10-15 minutes, so I said I'd wait. After walking around 20 minutes I returned to the pharmacy and sat in their "waiting" chairs. After 10 minutes of sitting, I stepped in line at the counter. I told the clerk I'd waited over 30 minutes and no one has called my name. He took my name & birthdate and began to look me up, silently. I asked if it was still in progress and he said oh no it's ready and he rang me up. He offered no apology but ended with a nice "have a good day." I spoke to a customer care rep on my way out to let CVS know of their communication problem. I'm not happy with the waste of my time and although I'm a longtime CVS customer, I believe I'll switch to a different pharmacy that's nearer my house. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I've only had great experiences at this location. They call with reminders about refills. Anything that takes longer than usual filling, the typically will call and let me know the status. The staff is always friendly. The lines move fast, inside or in drivethrough. I certainly like this pharmacy and have had a great experience each time. read more

Was denied refund with receipt for an unopened product containing pseudoephedrine. I purchased the wrong item and have no use for it. I was told that there is a state/federal law against the return of any product containing pseudoephedrine. I can find no law stating this and no where on the receipt, in store, or on the website does it state they will not honor refunds of this product. Additionally, corporate informed me that it was at the store's discretion. What's the point of corporate then? I wish companies could recognize poor business practices that will needlessly cost them business. read more

This CVS isn't far from my home and it's THE ONLY one I prefer (in terms of the Pharmacy) The staff is always upbeat and friendly. They know you by name. The store is well kept, including restrooms. Drive thru service is always well maintained with staff. No outside trash or anything. Not sure about buggy wipes. read more
