Waiting in drive thru going on 30 minutes

Slowest service in Charlotte. Awful customer service. Recommend to stay away..............

a view of a cvs pharmacy from across the street
Hannah K.

Just moved back from out of state and I'm pretty sure I'm sick because of that. (I mean it could be literally anything- I went to a bar, I've seen family, climate change...) So I started feeling sick Monday night with a super scratchy throat. Tried to self-treat Tuesday and Wednesday with cough drops, mucinex, lemon ginger tea, and nothings really helped except the advil to reduce my fever. Anyway, I have to start a new job on Monday so I wanted to get checked out to see if I had bronchitis or something that would prevent me from going to work. Luckily the minute clinic is SUPPOSED to do walk ins! So I got there AT 8:30 on the dot so I could be the first one in and not around too many people. I tried to check in and their kiosk only gave me the option to schedule an appointment. I asked the lady in the white coat why I couldn't just do a walk in and she said "if the 9 AM appointment doesn't come in then we can take you." Im sorry... what? What is the purpose of a walk in then? We could've spent that half hour before that appointment checking me out but no. I asked a nurse-man why they opened at 8:30 then and he said "it's so we can set up". I'm sorry, but that is NOT MY PROBLEM. If it says your open then you are open, it is a huge inconvenience to any client who needs assistance. If you didn't get things done in the time allotted before you open, it sounds like you need to manage your time better. So I walk out bawling my eyes out because Im sweating, I'm flustered, and I'm sick and just want help. My husband goes in and (unknowingly) scheduled me an appt for the next day. So we go back a few hours later for my "appointment" at 10:40 and of course it's not there, so I just ask "can you guys take a walk in now or no?", they say yes and ask for my ID and ins. card. I have Tricare insurance thru the military, but I don't have a card. So I guess that meant they just could not help me because I simply didn't have a physical card and said I'd have to do out of pocket which is like $140 plus whatever else they want to add on for testing and crap. This is NOT the first time I've had issues with CVS' in the past, this is not the worst one I've seen, but needless to say, ALL CVS SUCKS and the minute clinic at this one is incredibly unhelpful. Went to the Fast med down the street and got care much faster and much quicker.

The cashier was rude, she snatched money and the pinpaid pen out of MyHabit trying to "help", she shouldn't be assisting customers

I've been to this CVS many times for both the minute clinic (a great feature btw) as well as the pharmacy itself.

This was once my go-to store, but I've found that Lowe's Foods is more 'me.' A bit further of a…read moredrive, but worth it. The past two visits? Not a single employee acknowledged me when I'd excuse myself or say hi. It's like nobody cares about the customers. Now let's talk about the real reason for the review! I stopped in to purchase a prescription and waited at a sign that says something about 'stand here for customer privacy.' Funny thing - I could hear and see everything that the woman at the counter was purchasing and saying. Privacy, right? Anyways, there are multiple work stations in the 'pick up' area but only one actively in use. While waiting my turn, one of the many workers behind the counter did stop what she was doing to go and assist the person that arrived via the drive thru. Great! I had already been waiting but no sense of urgency with that. Cool. Finally, it's my turn. I said hello and was cut off by the worker who went straight to business. I attempted to hand the worker my government-issued ID - which has both my name and birthdate on it. She says she doesn't need it and asks for my birthdate - again. Now there's someone behind me and I know that she heard my information, so I asked why they couldn't just use the info off of my ID. Both she and her coworker want to argue and not listen to my logic - they just say that it's policy. Duh! But what if I couldn't talk? Wouldn't you want me to write it down? Or would you ask for my ID? The logic makes no sense. A sign that says to stand within earshot of verbal communication where your other customers can easily see and hear private information...for my privacy. But you won't let me show you my ID instead. Don't you have to be a doctor to be a pharmacist? You'd think that my logic would make sense to a guy with a doctorate degree. Needless to say, between the rude workers who don't even acknowledge customers and the illogical practices of the pharmacy, I've decided to stop going there - once again. Oh, as I left, I was close to colliding with a man who had numerous articles of cleaning gear on a cart. I smiled and motioned for him to continue and said excuse me. So he starts walking and then stops - in the middle of the aisle - to talk to three of his coworkers. I stopped abruptly and waited a few seconds, but I guess he had forgotten that I was behind him. I said excuse me and smiled. His female counterpart even pointed at me and motioned for him to move, but he kept talking. I said excuse me 2 more times before I had to wedge my way between them, while still saying that excuse me. What kind of people is Publix hiring these days? What happened to human decency and respect for one another - especially your customers who are trying to be the better person by smiling and greeting y'all?

Heading home from my travels, Mrs. K. sent me a shopping list. As this Publix is just off the…read moreInterstate, it was convenient to stop here. Nice and large parking lot that was clean and there were zero carts in the corrals. Inside the store, bright and well lit. I found the shelves to be tidy and organized. Nothing missing and no "holes" in the stock that I could see. I had no trouble finding everything on the list. Publix is a bit more expensive than some other stores but it on par with Harris Teeter, the other premium chain in the area. There are BOGOs throughout the store and sometimes you'll luck out and it's something on your list. Other times, it's not cheap. But it is a very pleasant full-service grocery with the best deli, a great butcher and excellent produce. I've never had a problem with anything I've bought at a Publix from subs to dairy to fresh fish. The bakery is always awesome. [Review 2502 of 2024 - 3955 in North Carolina - 23514 overall]

I go to exchange them and the guy at the register is super nice and calls his manager up to help with the exchange. She was in her 60s and a red head. She doesn't acknowledge me at all and tells him that I have to "buy" these new makeup wipes before I can open them to make sure they aren't spoiled like the last ones. I was just trying to confirm these weren't spoiled as well. Whatever. I'll just do the exchange and then smell the new ones. Then I told her they smelled really bad and she responded that they're supposed to smell bad.. Seriously. My fiancée has used these for years; I know what they are supposed to smell like. Super unprofessional and the only reason I didn't absolutely lose it was because the guy at the register was super nice and asked me how my day went and went above and beyond when I had originally bought them. In conclusion just confused how this lady is a manager and the guy is only working the front counter. HE should be managing that Walgreens. My fiancée got chemical burns on her and all I was asking for was an exchange. Super disappointed 5/11 8pm
