Scheduled a flu shot online, arrived at 11:40 for my 11:45 appt. There is literally no one else in line and it has been 30 Min and still waiting. They recently installed kiosk check ins at the pharmacy and they're horrible. I've watched several seniors some of them handicap struggle with them. When they ask for help the counter people are arrogant, argumentative and downright humiliating. If you're a senior or handicapped I would definitely recommend going elsewhere. read more

Words cannot described how disappointed I am in this CVS pharmacy location. After years of trying to be understanding I switched to Publix. This CVS location is understaffed, undertrained, and the employees consistently evidence they don't care. 1) when a provider sends in a script you need to fill it. You don't wait til a customer arrives a day later 2) continuous arrival to pick up scripts that were noted by text as ready and told it will be another 20 to 30 min 3) the complete lack of regard for customers / patients is out of this world. I've walked in at 7 pm - fresh from surgery when the doctor sent in a script at 9 am. Normal med they have in stock. read more

This CVS location has improved since my last experience in 2021. The drive-thru wait time is fast, and I receive timely text messages about my prescriptions. The staff is invaluable if I ever have a question about my prescription. They answered the phone and returned my call when I left a voicemail. Once, when I was having trouble with my doctor and trying to switch my prescription from tablet to pill, a pharmacist, whose name I do not recall, unfortunately, was so helpful that he made the executive decision to switch the medicine to pill, which was so much more affordable. I cannot adequately express my loathing for this CVS location. I have NEVER managed to get a prescription filled at this location without running into some sort of problem. Here's a short list: 1. Get a call that the prescriptions are ready for pickup- arrive to be told that prescriptions are in fact not ready for pickup. 2. Arrive to pick up prescriptions. Arrive to be told that one medication has to be ordered and won't arrive for several days. No- can't transfer to another store/pharmacy. 3. Arrive and am told that my bill will be $832 because they don't have insurance on file, despite having already billed my insurance 3 days previous. 4. Arrive, receive prescriptions, charge card for same. Informed after the fact that they billed my old insurance, and will have to re-file and re-bill. Do yourself a favor and pick LITERALLY ANY OTHER pharmacy. Harris Teeter is available across the parking lot. read more

This is by far one of the worst pharmacies there is. They never have prescriptions available. They never answer the phone. I have my insulin on auto renew every month and every month it gets delayed and I have to call to see what's wrong. I wish I could switch pharmacies, but my insurance covers more at CVS than other pharmacies. Would not recommend. read more

I had an interaction today with a pharmacy tech in the drive thru who was the most disrespectful and rude while I was trying to pick up my husbands medications. She didn't offer her name of course and I could t see it through the window glare but I could see the tattoos all over her arms which appeared to be floral designs that were black ink. She was wearing blue scrubs and had brown hair, probably about 5ft6in. Anyway, I found a new pharmacy and will transferring all my scripts for my household. I'm not dealing with childish attitudes when I already don't feel good. She needs a lesson in manners and how insurance companies work. read more

This pharmacy is understaffed at all times and really think they are more important than the customer. If you call, forget it. My wife was on hold yesterday for 17 minutes and today I just hung up after 22. This is not due to COVID even though they would like you to think it is. In fact probably less prescriptions at this time. I most likely will switch to Harris teater pharmacy, at least you can grocery shop while they ignore you. read more

The customer service in the Pharmacy is horrible. When I go in to pick up prescriptions I get the impression that it's a huge inconvenience to have to interact. On top of that I have experienced at least one of the following 4 out of my last 6 visits: 1. Pharmacy is out of my medication but sent a text saying it was ready for pick up anyway. 2. Get a text that my prescription is ready for pick-up and get there to find it isn't ready and have to wait 20 minutes or more. 3. Fail to get a text notification at all and eventually call to find out it has been ready for two days. 4. Attempt to refill old prescriptions that have had a dosage change despite cancelling auto refill online and verbally requesting it in store. After refusing to purchase these I'm treated to a horrible attitude because they have to put them back. As my meds come due for refill I'm transferring them to the Harris Teeter pharmacy across the parking lot. So far so good there.... read more

I have been to this CVS many times and wow are they're employees miserable and rude. They always want to argue over EVERYTHING. They wouldn't even let me exchange an item today, so I have to return it to then lose my 40% off coupon. And wouldn't apply the coupon to the item I was exact going it for, which was the same exact item but different size. So they lost a sale because I just had them return the item. They're miserable, there is no such thing as customer service in this store. read more

Unfortunately had to go since it's my mothers pharmacy, but would not be my choice. Kayla in the pharmacy is obviously unhappy with her job and customer service is not her strength. No smiling, or effort to look up the correct information, which led her to do extra work for no reason. Came to pick up scripts later and male pharmacist was only one who seems to know what he's doing. However, Kayla was in the window speaking horribly about another patient/customer! Proper training is needed ASAP otherwise I can easily see customers leaving left and right. read more

I reviewed this CVS 4 years ago shortly after their opening. I figure it's time to do another one. I still give them 5 stars. The area has grown substantially since 2015 which means more people are using this CVS. There have been times I've had to stand in line behind a couple of people. Only once did they not have enough to fill a prescription so they gave me enough for a couple of days and I went back. Big deal. They've hired new pharmacists and I've not had to speak to them, yet. The rest of the people have always been friendly and helpful to me. I won't use the drive through if I see more than 1 vehicle in line. I got behind someone who sat and waited for their prescription which was inconsiderate, so I went inside. When compared to other pharmacies located in town, this one by far is much better. read more

The staff in the pharmacy are very unprofessional and rude. I actually think the Pharmacist makes an attempt at having common sense but the assistants do not. I have scripts that are on auto fill yet they never seem to have the medications in stock. Today when we went in to pick up a medication that should have been ready 3 days ago I was told (by the tall, skinny, mouthy pharmacy tech with brown hair and flower tattoos down her arms ) that there were over 20 people on this "popular" medication and they couldn't keep it in stock so I had to wait in line and maybe I could pick it up tomorrow but they had a wait list for other people who needed to get it before I could. Her attitude was dismissive and rude. I cannot just stop taking this medication, it requires a taper. This was not a responsible response. I've also had issues picking up my sons ADHD medication month after month and Ive finally had enough. Today I transferred the prescriptions for our entire family to the grocery store across the street and SURPRISE somehow they happened to have the medications in stock and were able to fill the script right away for me. They were also happy for the business. CVS isn't the only place in town anymore, there are 2 other pharmacy within a mile..... I highly recommend that you check out the grocery store that starts with a "P"..... they are open 7 days a week and have great customer service., They will help you transfer all your prescriptions and can help contact physicians offices too. I've been going here for 3 years for the sake of convenience. The pharmacy has some seriously disgruntled employees and they are so RUDE to their customers. I've been on the receiving end as well as witnessed it on multiple occassions. Expect a lot of sighing and eye rolls in your face. The drive thru lady slammed the door in my face after waiting 7 cars deep to order a flu shot for my daughter. Their on line appointment system was down so I called and waited on hold for 20 minutes, nobody ever picked up the phone. They NEVER awnser the phone! I got in my car drove there. I waited 7 cars deep. After waiting 25 minutes in line at the drive thru, I asked them to fill the prescription for the flu-shot and I'd bring my daughter back in a hour to get the shot. They lady rolled her eyes at me and told me to call for an appointment. I said, "why can't you just fill the prescription now? I'm right here." You're not awnsering the phones and your on-line system is down. She SLAMMED the window in my face and refused to come back to the window. I literally had to pull around and walk inside and DEMAND they fill the shot. They all held their heads down and didn't want to help me fill a simple flu shot for a child. This is just one of many unpleasant encounters I've experienced here. I once had a lady refuse to wait on me because I was using a coupon they gave me for Claritan. She told me to take my coupon and pay up front. I said. "I can't. I need Claritan D which cannot be purchased up front. She rolled her eyes at me and literally walked away and refused to check me out. I held steady and stood there for about three minutes while she and a co-worker rolled their eyes at each other before the co-worker reluctantly came to the register to help me. The co-worker then tried to be overly nice to me. So fake. I said, "Can I just pay? You can roll your eyes all you want." I've called the corporate office on 3 occassions to never receive a call back. I literally dread picking up my meds because these people are so miserable. I'm changed my insurance today and will be moving my business to the new Publix or Harris Teeter in January. CVS is more expensive anyhow. I will save about $30 a month according to medicare's calculations. I'll save money and a lot of frustration. I call that a win. They have one Pharmacist who's nice. This pharmacy is so slow. 3 different times doctors have sent prescriptions and hours later we go to pick them up and they are never ready. I wish there were more options near Flowers Plantation because I dislike how inconvenient this pharmacy makes picking up your prescription. Today they had me get out of the car line and wait in the parking lot for over 20 minutes after it had been sent to them over 2 hours earlier. Staff is Rude, followed my children around the store. They came to purchase snacks while I was next door in pet store. I called my daughter, she went to open her back purse to get her phone and staff following them around told them they can open it in the store. My kids paid for the item she didn't give them a receipt. My son put the money on the counter and she the clerk said that not how you give someone money. I met them as they were walking out and I went in the store to complain about the way they were treated. A paying customer is a customer regardless of age, race, or gender. I received robo calls from this pharmacy for a prescription to be refilled that was filled one time after seeing the minute clinic nurse 15 months ago. After 2 robo calls I called and asked the pharmacist to stop the calls. He refused to try to assist. I had to call corporate and was on hold for 15 minutes before I could talk to someone to stop the robo calls about a drug I never asked to refill and did not want pressure to refill it just to stop the calls. In addition to disliking CVS as a customer, I am also a medical prescriber and have problems with CVS filling prescriptions for my patients. Please consider using Healthsmart pharmacy if you need a good pharmacy in the area. Professional staff that will provide customer service without having to escalate to a corporate entity. read more

I've had several prescriptions filled here over the past few months. By the time the doctor sends in the script, I check-out of the office, and drive to the CVS (which takes about 20-25 minutes), they always have my prescription ready. I have never experienced anything close to that at the other pharmacies in Clayton. They usually take several hours, and have lost the script a few times. Not this place. I've been in the shopping area a few times - it seems like the typical CVS - well stocked, decent variety, average prices. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The store is clean. If you want an over-priced over the counter remedy, junk food or cosmetic item it's adequate. If, however, you need the pharmacy, you may be disappointed. I think they are nice people having a bad day, every day. They are simply overwhelmed. CVS seems dedicated to eliminating human customer service in favor of automation. The human staff struggles to get it right. Rather than staffing appropriately, CVS mistakenly thinks that more automation is the answer. If your expectation is personal service, courtesy, and professional people handling your scripts and drugs, look elsewhere. read more
